Aug 18, 2012The phone is stuck with "Silence all" on the screen at all times.It's not usable and I cannot make any calls, answer calls or send text messages.The menus also are not accessible as I thought about trying to do a standard or hard reset.I have tried using the volume button to cycle out of'Silence All", then "Vibrate All" shows but it automatically goes back to and stays on "Silence All".I even tried holding the FN-# key and the * key to see if it comes out it but it does not.
I have also tried removing the battery several times but it does not help.anyone have any ideas of how I can get it out of this mode or is the phone toast?

Trying to make the Jump to Windows 10. Installed Windows insider and started install.
All seemed ok phone was about 50% charge then went to spinning gear screen left phone on charger and let it do its magic over night.
Woke up this morning now phone is constantly showing spinning Gears then restarting and going back to spinning gears over and over.
Tried Lumia Recovery tool and no luck Also tried cooling phone while on charger . No luck......

Jan 6, 2010When I synced my phone with Outlook, it synced all the "reminders" or alarms for the calendar. Does anyone know of a way to change this from playing an mp3 alarm to playing nothing? In other words, can I turn off these alarms? They're going off in the middle of the night in some cases. I think I can change a setting that makes them inactive when my phone is off, but I don't want to have to turn my phone off at night.

I can silence my phone, turn the volume down, and select vibrate. I still get voice announcements loud and clear. How do I turn it off? Sometimes it is not desirable to hear "ONE NEW EMAIL" in church or at the office. No matter what preference I select to silence the phone, these voice alerts come through.
Samsung :: I760 - Calendar And Alarms - Military Time
May 2, 2010I have a Samsung i760, to begin with...the clock display on the today screen is set for 12 hours and shows the normal time and not military (no offense to the military personal out there)
My problem is my calendar and alarms. They both have military time .
I have gone to settings
system
clocks and alarms
alarms
Put in a time...and it is ALWAYS military with no AM PM option.
Same with appointments on my calendar. No other option other than military time. It all worked fine up until a week ago and I can't find anything out there on the net that can help me resolve this.

Oct 5, 2011My job requires me to take some shifts with a standby period from 4-7 AM in case an emergency happens, so I have to leave the phone on beside my bed, and it has to be audible.I plug it in so if I have to respond, I will do so with a full battery. Then inevitably after I have fallen asleep, two beeps wake me up to tell me the battery is charged. I ticked the box in settings 'no notification ringtone', but it did not seem to shut this off. can't imagine what idiot designer at Samsung thought that this would be a very important feature that we all must have, but it is driving me nuts.

Well normally my iPhone will pass through all peaceful like a small mouse sleeping in the hay on a desserted barn somewhere in deepest Idaho or Somerset.But today I got a text message and it was displayed on my screen unread, I passed through the barrier of my local Tesco store and all hell broke loose.
The big black security guard went after me, frightened me and caused me to run screaming through the car park, everyone saw me and it was very embarrassing being led back into the store, everyone thought I was either Al Quada or Al Capone.But the culprit twas my phone being in the state of unviewed text message.Anyone else have this disturbing encounter?...maybe try it for sh*ts and giggles...have your running shoes on though.

Jun 10, 2014Recently the alarm clock function has stopped working. Alarms set but do not start. Since Lollipop 5.1.1 .... They aren't silent, they just fail to start, confirmation of alarm in x amount of mins / hours appears as confirmation of alarm set. Time of alarm trigger set point passes and the alarms do not launch.

Aug 27, 2015Sound in speaker while headphones connected?Calls ringtone and messages notification sound go from speaker AND heaphones at the same time [ New.however I was hoping there would be an improvment of some sort in the meantime.

Behavior right now:
- Plug-in headphones (original XperiaZ2 gear)
- Play music
- Notifications mute music in headphones (but no ringtone is played), ringtones are output through speaker (Why? I cannot hear them there, since the original Xperia headphones are noisecanceling ... :-/ ).Â
- Same goes for alarm-sounds too!

Now imagine the following: You sit in a train / bus / whatever public transportation, and you know you're tired and think "I better set an alarm, so I won't miss my stop". Even better, I plug-in headphones such that my alarm won't anoy my fellow passengers. Great idea! But wait, with this "feature" you won't just only anoy other people but also miss your stop since YOUÂ don't hear the alarm, but everybody else does..Isn't there a better solution, than just mute all sounds aside from music? This in fact only solves the "anoy"-part, which is the littler issue in the above case.

Aug 22, 2014I want to silence all alerts (texts, emails, etc) except for phone calls and the alarm like I could with my blackberry.My new iPhone 5c is a huge upgrade from the BB other than the lack of Sound Profiles.Â
I've read a post about plugging the headphones in so that the other alerts play through them, but the phone and alarm still sound out, but this does not appeal to me as I don't typically use earbuds. Matter of fact, the ones that came with the phone are still in the box.Â
