Recently the alarm clock function has stopped working. Alarms set but do not start. Since Lollipop 5.1.1 .... They aren't silent, they just fail to start, confirmation of alarm in x amount of mins / hours appears as confirmation of alarm set. Time of alarm trigger set point passes and the alarms do not launch.

This might be a bug because I noticed once I plug the charger in my Z2 and try to start an app (say Clash of Clans) a white screen just slides through and nothing happens. I just press the multi tasking button to force-close it. Also tried to force stop the app before relaunching it, same problem. Tried to restart the phone via the power button, however it takes longer time than normal before it boots up again, like 3 to 5 minutes. What could be the cause of this issue?

Normally when I go to sleep I put my phone in silent mode from the quick toggles in the notification panel. I like silent mode so I don't get vibrate notifications during the night and sounds that would wake me up.
Before the update my alarm which I use in the AM to wake up for work used to work in silent mode and I would hear the alarm. The last 2 nights the alarm goes off but only on the screen and does not make a sound like it used to.
Alarms going off behind the start or lock screen? There's no way to snooze or dismiss without unlocking the phone. By the time I do that, I've woken everyone else up because it takes so long!!

I got up at 11.45 because of that today, and very soon I'll be relying on alarms very much, and can't have this madness! I tried a market alarm too and no change.

When I click on one to change it, another opens, and I have to go back and click on the desired alarm clock again. version of the android 2.3.4. please, check it. p.s. sorry for my bad English. View 5 Replies View RelatedSound in speaker while headphones connected?Calls ringtone and messages notification sound go from speaker AND heaphones at the same time [ New.however I was hoping there would be an improvment of some sort in the meantime.
Behavior right now:
- Plug-in headphones (original XperiaZ2 gear)
- Play music
- Notifications mute music in headphones (but no ringtone is played), ringtones are output through speaker (Why? I cannot hear them there, since the original Xperia headphones are noisecanceling ... :-/ ).
- Same goes for alarm-sounds too!
Now imagine the following: You sit in a train / bus / whatever public transportation, and you know you're tired and think "I better set an alarm, so I won't miss my stop". Even better, I plug-in headphones such that my alarm won't anoy my fellow passengers. Great idea! But wait, with this "feature" you won't just only anoy other people but also miss your stop since YOU don't hear the alarm, but everybody else does..Isn't there a better solution, than just mute all sounds aside from music? This in fact only solves the "anoy"-part, which is the littler issue in the above case.
I have a Sony z5 premium and a Samsung gear s2 watch but can't seem to silence my alarms on the phone with the watch.

Google updates kill my Z2 usability, I have system, all google stuff to keep me running, gmail, drive, maps, chrome etc. One game, one office suit, calendar, small app needed in work and can't even install sony privilege cause only 750 mb is left free, all available apps are moved to 64GB SD card. How much memory will be left after 5.1 update? Is new system smaller than before, how can we extend the inside disc capability, leaving the device functionality? Is it the same for Z3 and Z3+, they also have just 16Gb of internal memory?

Finally I thought maybe the Google play service it's old or not compatible or something like that but nothing change even with latest update from Google play service.
