I just install last ICS update 4.1.B.0.587 and the problem of led notification for call, sms and mms, is still the same.........
When do you release a patch to solve this ? they works when the screen is on and not when it is off
I'm having a rare problem, my sms notifications are repeating themselves, sometimes every 4-5 mins, sometimes after a complete hour.

I like to save lots of nice images so I don't need a THOUSAND notifications telling me I've downloaded a tiny image. Why can't I turn this off?
I always receive texts normally and get the normal notifications and can read messages through normal messaging. I now cannot recieve notifications and use messaging for my husbands number. I can only check texts by going to his contact info and selecting messaging. I dont even get a notification of his message coming through. his messages don't show up in the normal message centre, although they are there when I go in from his contact

First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar.

View 9 Replies View RelatedBefore buying Z5 premium dual, I had been using Z. In Z, I was able to have Whatsapp messages appear in the notification bar WITHOUT any sound. That allows me to see the messages without triggering the blue ticks.
Now in Z5p, I am not able to do the same. From the settings available, I only have two choices:
1. Whenever there's a whatsapp message, it pops up at the top of the screen WITH sound, then it remain in the notification bar.
2. By choosing to block it, nothing will ever pop up, there is no sound, and there will be nothing at all in the notification bar.
What I want is "showing up in the notification bar" + "NO sound", is it possible to do this?
I have read some forum posts in which people suggested to turn to silent mode. But in this case I won't be able to hear phone calls so it's not feasible.
I have just updated my Z2 to 5.0.2 and the lock screen is not showing anything when I receive notifications (e-mail, text messages, etc.) nor do I see any icon in the status bar unless I unlock the phone.
I have a lock screen with pin code, enforced by company rules where I work when using company e-mail on the phone, but I would expect the notifications to still work.
I have checked the settings, and I have tried setting them to both Hide Sensitive Information and Show All under Notification settings when the unit is locked.
I have just moved from an iPhone 5 to an Xperia Z3. Is there any way that I can have ios style lock screen notifications on my Z3? For example; text messages, missed calls, emails etc. I just downloaded an Xperia theme from the play store which showed lock screen notifications on the picture, however after installing it turns out to be just a wallpaper. Not quite what i was looking for.

View 8 Replies View RelatedDuring a call, if there's any kind of notification (email or sms) or alarm the phone will annoyingly vibrate which I and the other person can hear.I've looked in the settings and haven't found a way to only turn off vibrate during calls. The only thing in the settings I've seen is to just turn of notifications completely, which I don't really consider a solution since I would like my phone to vibrate when things come in normally.I've missed the simple setting that stops vibration during a call.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAt work I use headphones, and I want phone calls etc. to call with sound only in my headphones, and call silent when headphones are disconnected. As it is now it rings from the speakers of the phone, even if headphones are connected.
I have Android version 5.0. I have tried to use Smart connect but that doesn't work at all. For example I have set it up to start Spotify automatically when the headphones are plugged in, and also set the volume to normal, but when I plug in mye headphones nothing happens....
I am a first time user of Sony, and Xperia Z5 is my first phone. I got it on 26th October and I have used iPhones and Samsung phones previously.
I tried tweaking both phone settings and app settings and the pin/pattern unlock was the initial problem that I found.
The "swipe" to unlock is now my primary screen unlock method with no security procedure in place.
Thing is that i still sometimes don't get the notifications under "screen lock" mode for these 3rd party apps even i chose to show all notification content under phone settings.
I only get them when I have swiped to unlock my phone, and a whole chunk of notifications start popping up.

I'm a new android user, I'm coming from Windows Phone. On the start screen of my Xperia Z5 Premium I have the facebook Icon. Why there is no number displayed, for how much notifications there are? I mean the little number, like in the E-Mail Icon.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNoticed a little while ago that some emails I was waiting for were sitting in Inbox (the app) all along. I've done some troubleshooting (reboot, clear cache, clear data, bouncing the notification settings in the app, bouncing sync).
In the end I uninstalled inbox and enabled gmail and went through all the above with that but no difference. Test emails, as well as genuine ones are all turning up immediately but I get no notification on the notification bar, led, no sound/vibrate etc.
I've tried in safe mode - same thing. I've turned priority mode on and off too.
I did finally get the latest sony update a couple of days ago and I can't be certain this has worked properly since then (Inbox, which I quite like, is set to not notify me for the majority of emails i get.
When I set reminders on my Z2 through the Keep app or Evernote, it alerts me via vibrate. This is problematic when I am far enough away from my phone that I don't hear the vibration or I'm in a loud place. I would really like it if I was alerted via a notification tone, but I can't seem to find the setting necessary to change that. In fact, I can't seem to change the notification specifics for any of my apps, besides having them on or off. The phone is not in silent mode, the sound is all the way up.

I know that the xperia z2 works only with one speaker when you have a call or notification. I want you to fix it because it is a huge problem due to the high price of this smartphone.
