Dec 19, 2011I finally gave in and updated the phone because the shutdowns and restarts were getting ridiculous but now cant find / or access memory card no matter how many times i restart my phone or take the card out however the card itself is fine and works as i can put it directly in laptop and access my stuff on there.

Jul 30, 2012I tried to update to Android 4.0 via the Sony Ericsson Bridge for Mac. The software prompted me to change the settings to MTP, after I changed, my Mac couldn't detect the phone. After I disconnected the phone, I found that many of my Apps went missing. Went to Google Play store to reinstall the apps, only to get the message "App cannot be installed in default location". My phone memory storage has been really low lately, about 30Mb left, and I haven't installed any new apps. I have moved most of the apps to my SD card, not sure what has happened.

The new features like video on Gtalk, 3D panaromic camera, swype, etc. are welcome changes.But what disappoints me is that one essential thing is still missing, a smart dialer. Yes, I can pick one from the market, lots available for free, but none will blend in with the default theme of the phone. So SE please think on providing this.Another thing is the missing animations. SE stands out for style but again two really nice animations are removed. One is the CRT like animation you get when the screen is turned off on hitting the power button. Second one is when you open the SMS app.

Part of contacts list was missing even after backing up data. Font display is noticeably larger. Words on various apps are cut off. Also lost the user guides. Mar 24, 2012When I updated my phone to iOS 5, I received a message saying my phone couldn't be restored because the backup was encrypted--I had neither requested nor set a password for this encryption. The phone now had none of my information on it, notes, texts, voicemail. I panicked, called Apple, and they helped me find a way to restore the notes from files in iTunes, which is a relief because I'm a writer and had a lot of work in there. However, the phone started asking me for a voicemail password that to my knowledge, I had never set. I tried a few passwords and attempted a few other methods of recovery, all to no avail. So I reset my voicemail password, as all the online literature I could find suggested. However, the "password is incorrect, please enter your password" prompt then no longer showed up. After long deliberation I set up visual voicemail over again, but to my dismay I no longer have any saved messages. At this point I have lost over a year's worth of text messages and voicemails. Some of these were incredibly important to me. I would love to recover all of it if possible, but I particularly care about the saved voicemails. Some of these were from my girlfriend during a difficult time in our lives and I really need them back. I also lost important texts from my girlfriend, best friend, and siblings, but the most important thing is the voicemails. Nothing I'm concerned about is more than a year old, but there are around five or six voicemails I need. No, there is no deleted folder from which I can undelete messages, I know how to do that. My phone is not yet jailbroken but I'm not against doing it if it will allow other methods of restoration to be attempted. I do some coding myself and I'm not daunted by the prospect of sifting around in my computer's files and command line, by the way. I still have all the itunes backups, although half of them are still encrypted with an unknown password.

Galaxy S5 :: Interruptions Menu Missing From Sounds And Notifications?
May 4, 2015I want to prevent the "pop-up banners" from Google Hangouts from interrupting other programs and overlaying on top of the app that I am running. I still want my phone to vibrate when I get a notification from Google Hangouts.
I understand that there is supposed to be a menu choice under "Sounds and Notifications" called Interruptions. I do not have this choice.
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport and I am running Lollipop 5.0.
IPhone 5s :: IOS 7.1.2 / No Update Badges / No Auto Update / Only Get Update Notifications When Go Into App Store
Sep 1, 2014Basically I never get any notification of app updates, not do they update automatically. I have to go into app store regularly, then to updates and thereafter it shows the updates available, and shows the badge on the app store logo (ie red 3 for three new updates).
I've tried logging out of the current apple ID, powering off, on, putting apple ID back, no difference.
Tried turning off automatic updates, powering off, on, putting it back on, no difference (it's currently set in obviously).
Also difficult yo test as each time I need to wait for new updates to be issues to see if it works or not.

For some reason I have lost my Text Messaging Icon. If I look in my Contacts - I am able to select a Contact and then hit Menu and am given the option of "Send a Text Message" - which works.When I receive a text message - the appropriate notification goes off (audible or vibrate), but, there is no indication in the status bar that there is a new text message. If I go into "Contacts" and look at the individual that sent the text message, I can see the conversation in their history. Obviously, with a ton of Contacts, even if I do happen to get the notification, it can be quite the task to figure out where its coming from. I assume that any texts that do not have an associated Contact are just simply gone.
Xperia X10 :: Mails In GMail App Seem Stuck In Outbox But Being Sent?
Dec 5, 2010I got an X10 and its all interresting and exciting: Next to the little flaws (like sorting contacts not by surname) I am happy with it. But there is this odd problem. If I send a mail from my GMail it looks like stuck in the outbox, allthough it gets sent.

Dec 1, 2012So im not reciving any update notifications for any apps. If i go to the Store there is no notifications but if i got to an app like "Nokia Maps" there will be an update. Also I dont recive any of the updates for "Extras+info" that i keep hearing about.
