I used the default 'Notes' app in 1.6 to store lots of info (and my gf's xmas list!) and now in 2.1 it's empty. I used the backup/restore and even Zipped my SD Card separately in case of data loss but cannot work out how to retrieve my notes.

The new features like video on Gtalk, 3D panaromic camera, swype, etc. are welcome changes.But what disappoints me is that one essential thing is still missing, a smart dialer. Yes, I can pick one from the market, lots available for free, but none will blend in with the default theme of the phone. So SE please think on providing this.Another thing is the missing animations. SE stands out for style but again two really nice animations are removed. One is the CRT like animation you get when the screen is turned off on hitting the power button. Second one is when you open the SMS app.

I had(hopefully still have somewhere) a lot of important information stored there. This topic has already been issued at this as well as other forums, without any reasonable solution. My notes were stored in Notes which is an original feature of the phones software. Is it really impossible to retrieve them anyhow? Aren't there a way to wind time backwards and undo the upgrade? Where and in which format Notes files information is stored? Are they saved at the SD card?

I then went to sent a message and got a error message saying cannot connect please try later. And I had many....And eager as I was to get the new upgrade, I didn't write down all these notes on a reliable piece of paper with a reliable pen to secure that I wouldn't miss them afterwards IF they were to disappear!I followed all the steps at the sonyericsson webpage, and noticed that it said on the webpage that all things NOT included in the backup, which I was supposed to do before upgrading, would NOT be "disturbed" by the upgrade.. But here I am now, sitting with my phone WITHOUT any of those important notes!

I have a new laptop. My old one, to which my iPhone was synced has been backed up using Time Machine.
On my new one I decided to check out Outlook to see if it could be usedful, I have never used it before. So I opened it up and to my suprise there are some old contacts from years ago and some old emails from an old email account also from years ago, how they got there I didn't/still don't know, so I went ahead and deleted them. Then I discovered, also to my suprise that the notes from my iPhone were there too, not knowing how they got there, I delete them. A few minutes later I open up my iPhone and what!!! all my notes are deleted! I'm guessing now that the two were syncing without me being aware of it through iCloud.
My question is how can I retrieve almost two years worth of important continuously edited notes?

I want to disable notifications from the calendar app - but the context menu is missing - nothing happens when I pust the menu button. A second symptom is that when the notifications appear, there are no buttons to snooze or dismiss.
The background is taht I have upgraded to android 2.1 and installed a few different calendar apps to get a better widget. I ended up with Gemini and uninstalled the other apps and widgets again. Which ones I tried and when the problem appeared I do not know. So if the problem was present after the upgrade or later...?

But after I upgraded to version 4.0 I bought the license. There is only a small problem now, there is no menu now to select "My Maps" and download. Tried to contact support but they don't seem to understand the problem. They keep telling my to navigate to the download menu.

I use the notes app quite a bit for my work.In the image below, the highlighted "Notes" button disappears after a while (one day), which means that you can't go back to the main list of notes. The only way I can fix it is to kill the app, and restart it. Then it's fine for another day.When in edit mode for a note like the screenshot below, the "Done" button disappears after a while. Then you can't exit the app. The work around is to use the Apple button to go back to the main iPhone screen.
