IPhone :: How To Retrieve Lost Notes After IOS Upgrade On 4S
Mar 13, 2012
I am new to iPhone but gather others have had issues in the past? Some of my notes got deleted - can I get them back and more importantly, how do I avoid this happening again?
Today I lost contacts, notes and reminders on my iPhone. I checked on my iCloud account and everything is there, then I checked iCloud settings on my iPhone and all options are off except for Find My iPhone. I did not turn on everything because I am worried that I could lose information on iCloud. How can I restore my contacts, notes and reminders to my iPhone from my iCloud account?
I just upgraded an iphone 3gs from 3.1.2 to 5.1.1 and it properly updated the firmware then at the end tried to restore the data. While restoring it kept prompting me for a password which I don't have any setup so I pressed cancel and it started synchronizing but my messages and notes are not showing up! I'm particularly concerned because I checked the size of the backup and it's like 200 mb! that seems very small. Is there a way I can fix this so it sync back everything properly and otherwise how can I restore to my previous backup with the previous firmware?
I have a new laptop. My old one, to which my iPhone was synced has been backed up using Time Machine.
On my new one I decided to check out Outlook to see if it could be usedful, I have never used it before. So I opened it up and to my suprise there are some old contacts from years ago and some old emails from an old email account also from years ago, how they got there I didn't/still don't know, so I went ahead and deleted them. Then I discovered, also to my suprise that the notes from my iPhone were there too, not knowing how they got there, I delete them. A few minutes later I open up my iPhone and what!!! all my notes are deleted! I'm guessing now that the two were syncing without me being aware of it through iCloud.
My question is how can I retrieve almost two years worth of important continuously edited notes?
I have synced my mums new iphone into my itunes, i already have an iphone myself and all my information and apps (including notes and calender dates) have transferred over to this new phone. How do i repair this and will it effect my phone?
Since 4 days ago, suddenly I've missed almost all my notes, most of them, very important to me, maybe it happened after an Office for Mac actualization, particularly, an Outlook actualization.
I recently tried to backup my phone and many of my notes have been lost. The backup contains note from 2 years ago, notes from 6 months ago, as well as notes from 4 days ago, however most in between are lost. One in particular was created 1 year ago and has been updated periodically over the year but it is not in the backup even as a previous version. I have tried multiple 3rd party softwares aimed toward recovering deleted notes NOT in a backup, however nothing is recognizing any outside those that were backed up. Do I have any options to recover? One note in particular was VERY important to me.
I used the default 'Notes' app in 1.6 to store lots of info (and my gf's xmas list!) and now in 2.1 it's empty. I used the backup/restore and even Zipped my SD Card separately in case of data loss but cannot work out how to retrieve my notes.
I went to the Info Tab on iTunes and lost all my notes by syncing from laptop to iPhone! How do I get them back? I have some really important information there.
I lost important notes while syncing my iPhone on my MacBook Pro. I have synced before, and know that the notes on my phone migrate to the MacBook Pro. If I want them back on the phone, I had to drag them back to the phone. So I synced notes and there was an option as to whether to keep or delete notes that were synced; I am quite sure that I chose, "keep." Now, I am unable to find those valuable notes on either device. Ouch. Can you help? Is there a backup type of place to recover them?
I had the same Notes on both my iPad and my iPhone. Some made on the iPad and some made on the iPhone. Now adter syncing in iTunes I seem to have lost all my iPad made notes on my iPhone. I still have both sets of Notes on my iPad.Also I added my MobileMe email address to the list of my email addresses I have in Mail on my iMac. My MobileMe emails were then sent to my iMac including all my notes backup both from my iPad and iPhone. So my Notes are not deleted or lost, just none of my iPad notes are now on my iPhone.Read the support BB's are now VERY confused what to do to restore my iPad Notes on my iPhone. On iPhone, I only seem to have: All Notes / On My iPhone / my MobileMe email address While on my iPad, I have: All Notes / From my Mac / my MobileMe email address My iPhone is 3GS. My iPad is a 2, both running the very latest iOS. Sync almost daily, never had this problem Think it occured when I added MobilMe to Mail on my iMac, but don't know for sure!
first off, something strange happened Nov 20, 2011 because that is the day my voicemail stopped working. ATT and APPLE could not figure out how to solve the problem - so I just had no voicemail until yesterday.
My iphone 4s' volume button broke, so I took it into the APPLE store to get a new phone. I backed up before I took the phone in, because I was pretty sure they would replace my phone - which they did
When I restored the phone to the 'most recent' back up, I lost ALL the data on my phone after Nov 20, 2011. All my texts, all the data about my baby that I have been keeping in a baby app - basically any app info. Even my camera roll reverted back to the way it was on Nov 20. (fortunately I had saved my pics to iphoto - so nothing really lost there)
I don't understand where all the info went when I backed up RIGHT before I went to the apple store.
I have looked on my computer and found the back up file, but I don't know what to do with the info in there. Oddly, I can't find a back up for 4/2/12 - the day I did the back up, but there are several back ups in March.. which would be better than the NOV back up.
How do I retrieve a lost iphone with the Find My Iphone app?
I got my iphone stolen right out of my bag and I am assuming there is no way of retrieving the phone back unless I have the Find My Iphone app? I am hoping someone could prove me wrong or give me another solution to getting it back. I have a lot of photos, videos and memories in that phone and I would do anything to get it back.
Unfortunately after my mums iphone was synced she has lost some voicemails which are very important to her. Her friend passed away and they are all she has left of her. Any way to get these back.
I recently lost my iPhone at a concert and unfortunately, it was never connected with iCloud, nor was it backed up to iTunes. I got a new iPhone and connected it to iTunes. I have my contacts (taken from my sister's iPhone) and voicemails, but nothing else. I would really like my old text messages and photos, but have no idea what to do in order to get them.
