IPhone :: How To Retrieve Texts And Photos From Lost 4 Without Backup
May 28, 2012
I recently lost my iPhone at a concert and unfortunately, it was never connected with iCloud, nor was it backed up to iTunes. I got a new iPhone and connected it to iTunes. I have my contacts (taken from my sister's iPhone) and voicemails, but nothing else. I would really like my old text messages and photos, but have no idea what to do in order to get them.
I backed up my iphone 4 to itunes (not icloud) yesterday, and today i went to the apple store to see if they could fix a broken lock button. They issued me a new phone, and assured me that i woult be able to retrieve my camera roll photos after restoring my phone from backup. Everything restored to my phone EXCEPT the photos. Some of them are very important to me and i would like to know if there is a way to retreive all of the photos through my computer, phone or itunes.
For reasons which are now irrelevant, I had lost some photos through attempting to sync with iTunes. (I clicked off the process before it had completed-hence why I only lost a few) In order to get these back, I tried a 'restore from backup'- unbeknownst to me, this back up was from a few months ago. I have now lost 300+ photos (among other, less important things). I am on Windows 7 and have found the backup files in windows explorer as suggested in numerous forums but have no idea what to do with them now...I understand that these photos may simply be lost. But at the moment I'm refusing to believe that they have been deleted from the face of the earth as NOWHERE along the line did I press 'delete' or any other such commands.
I just connect iPhone 5 last night, iTunes asked for restore I thought it's back up by mistake. After restore all my photos from last two month gone and photo from last year come to phone! How can I get them back? photo are very import and memorable for me.
I just got the 4S and I went on a trip immediately after buying it, so I used it as a camera for the trip. When I came back I plugged it into my computer and was asked if I wanted to put my iPod touch backup on the iPhone. Thinking it would just put all the music and photos from my iPod onto the phone, I clicked yes, and also installed the newest update. When it was all finished all my photos that had been on my iPod were there, but all the pictures I had taken on my trip were gone, as well as all my contacts. How can I get them back?
I created a new album in my IPhone 4S ... I added 52 photos & video to the new album .. then i deleted them from camera roll to not have double photos .. I was surprised that photos were deleted from the new album as well .. I don't have a back up .. how I can get them back ? Â
I mistakenly selected restore backup on my computer with my iphone 5S plugged in and little did i know it was going to delete all of my photos and contacts that I had from the past year and send me back to my last backup which was when ios 7 came out (LAST YEAR!!) I really need these photos and contacts back, so I did some research about recovering deleted files on my phone and turns out applications like these exist. I just don't know which ones to get. Most of them range from $50 to $100 so i really don't want to have to buy two of them. Some of them are called PhoneRescue, MobiSaver, Wondershare Dr. Fone...etc and i tried all of their 'free trials' and none of them worked.
I recently wanted to update my rooted Nexus 5 from android 4.4.4 to android 5.1.1 and in doing so, I needed to wipe my phone. Before I did, I created a full system backup using TWRP. Once I wiped the phone I logged into my google account to retrieve all my photos which was successful. I then updated my phone multiple times to reach version 5.1.1. My photos were no longer there even after I logged into my google account. Is there any way I can retrieve my lost photos/videos through the TWRP backup, or via any other method. I lost over 1000 photos.
I backed up my old BB Curve last week before I went into town to get the new BB Bold. When I came home I did the switching devices thing on my computer with both phones. They both have separate memory cards in but the Curve had all my old stuff; camera pics, voice notes and vids.Since backing up the Curve or switching devices to the Bold all that has disappeared!I thought that was the whole point of backing up something was to not loose it all, but it seems to have done exactly that! I can only assume that all of those were saved on the memory card not the phone, but I'm not sure, what is the default setting, and why it has disappeared in the first place!
I backed up my iphone to my computer before going to Apple Store where my phone was replaced. Once home I synced up and my apps were restored but not the pictures and video.
Are they there or were they not backed up? If they are there why weren't they restored and what can I do to restore them?
first off, something strange happened Nov 20, 2011 because that is the day my voicemail stopped working. ATT and APPLE could not figure out how to solve the problem - so I just had no voicemail until yesterday.
My iphone 4s' volume button broke, so I took it into the APPLE store to get a new phone. I backed up before I took the phone in, because I was pretty sure they would replace my phone - which they did
When I restored the phone to the 'most recent' back up, I lost ALL the data on my phone after Nov 20, 2011. All my texts, all the data about my baby that I have been keeping in a baby app - basically any app info. Even my camera roll reverted back to the way it was on Nov 20. (fortunately I had saved my pics to iphoto - so nothing really lost there)
I don't understand where all the info went when I backed up RIGHT before I went to the apple store.
I have looked on my computer and found the back up file, but I don't know what to do with the info in there. Oddly, I can't find a back up for 4/2/12 - the day I did the back up, but there are several back ups in March.. which would be better than the NOV back up.
How do I retrieve a lost iphone with the Find My Iphone app?
I got my iphone stolen right out of my bag and I am assuming there is no way of retrieving the phone back unless I have the Find My Iphone app? I am hoping someone could prove me wrong or give me another solution to getting it back. I have a lot of photos, videos and memories in that phone and I would do anything to get it back.
I bought an iPhone during my last vacation and took 400 pictures before syncing, straight out of the box. When I got home and plugged it in my laptop, it synced with my old iphone, erasing all pictures. How can I get them back? There's no backup, since the iphone was brand new to my macbook.
i'm trying to get my iphone synched with my home computer. I had many contacts entered directly on the iphone and many more synched from my work computer. I retired and now need to synch both. I got the work contacts into my home outlook and synched them into the phone but in doing this I lost the contacts that had been entered directly. Now I need to get the lost contacts from the backup and into my outlook. before the upload of the work contacts i had synched with itunes which apparently makes a backup. i have subsequently synched with itunes. how do i find and retrieve the backup before the upload?
I am new to iPhone but gather others have had issues in the past? Some of my notes got deleted - can I get them back and more importantly, how do I avoid this happening again?
Unfortunately after my mums iphone was synced she has lost some voicemails which are very important to her. Her friend passed away and they are all she has left of her. Any way to get these back.
