May 28, 2012I recently lost my iPhone at a concert and unfortunately, it was never connected with iCloud, nor was it backed up to iTunes. I got a new iPhone and connected it to iTunes. I have my contacts (taken from my sister's iPhone) and voicemails, but nothing else. I would really like my old text messages and photos, but have no idea what to do in order to get them.

Jun 26, 2014I used to have an old LG flip-phone and an iPod Touch. I lost the iPod Touch about six months ago. This week I got my iPhone. I had to go to the Verizon store to have them take all the contacts off the LG phone and put them onto my iPod.Â
I had painstakingly pared down my iTunes music library to choice selection of checked items that were small enough to fit on the iPod touch. I didn't want to go through that process again, so I hooked my iPhone up to my computer for the first time, opened iTunes, and synced with the iPod touch backup on my computer. It would have been smart to have backed up the iPhone first, but I didn't. Since I couldn't text with the iPod Touch, it didn't occur to me that the existing texts on my iPhone would be overwritten.Â
Now all the media files and apps from my old iPod Touch are on my new iPhone 5. The new iPhone apps I downloaded yesterday are on there, too. But the contacts and texts have vanished.Â
To review: no iTunes backup of iPhone data. No iCloud backup, either-- I've never used iCloud before.Â
I downloaded Wondershare's iPhone Data Recovery program and used it to scan data on the device. The scan shows 0 contacts and only the 2 text messages that I've received this evening. Curiously, it does have my entire call history from the last week.Â
So is there any way to recover the texts from this last week?

May 23, 2012I just got the 4S and I went on a trip immediately after buying it, so I used it as a camera for the trip. When I came back I plugged it into my computer and was asked if I wanted to put my iPod touch backup on the iPhone. Thinking it would just put all the music and photos from my iPod onto the phone, I clicked yes, and also installed the newest update. When it was all finished all my photos that had been on my iPod were there, but all the pictures I had taken on my trip were gone, as well as all my contacts. How can I get them back?

Sep 7, 2014I mistakenly selected restore backup on my computer with my iphone 5S plugged in and little did i know it was going to delete all of my photos and contacts that I had from the past year and send me back to my last backup which was when ios 7 came out (LAST YEAR!!) I really need these photos and contacts back, so I did some research about recovering deleted files on my phone and turns out applications like these exist. I just don't know which ones to get. Most of them range from $50 to $100 so i really don't want to have to buy two of them. Some of them are called PhoneRescue, MobiSaver, Wondershare Dr. Fone...etc and i tried all of their 'free trials' and none of them worked.

Mar 7, 2010I've asked this before, and I've searched a lot and nothing seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. Maybe I just don't know how to interpret the results.Anyway, I recently restore my iPhone to eliminate all of the clutter and cydia problems I was having. I decided to JB with Redsn0w this time (instaed of blackra1n) because I've been told it's a lot smoother. I was also told to ensure the same problems don't restore, It's vital that I set up my phone as a new phone. Before I do that though, I want to save my text messages so I can put them back on my phone after I set it up as new. It is the only thing I'd really care to save. (Apart from my phones usage information, if anyone knows how to do that aswell, let me know!).So if anyone can let me know a quick and easy, (or long and complicated... whatever it takes) FREE way to save my messages so I can put them on my phone again after I set up as new, and JB with Redsn0w.

Jul 13, 2015I have the international SM-G920I version of the S6, running the latest 5.1.1 update.Recently, it has started giving me issues in the Google Photos app. I am unable to back up any photos. When I go open the app and go to the Assistant tab, it always shows "Backing up 1 item out of XX".
When I go to the "Backup & Sync" settings of the app, I get constant toast notifications saying "Backing up 1 out of XX". I factory reset my phone and tried again, however the issue persists. I am able to upload photos onto Google Photos using my computer, so it does not seem to be an issue in my Google account.

How can I ensure they are deleted permanently? Dec 5, 2015I have not yet gotten ahold of a Lumia 950 but plan to do so in the fairly near future. I've been reading this forum and find various comments about whether or not to restore from a WM 8.1 backup. My current phone is a Lumia 1020 running Denim.
My question is for those who have recommended a fresh install rather than a restore from backup. Are you referring only to the "Apps and Settings" backup and not the "text messages" backup?

Can't Photos From Backup From IPhone 4s To 5
Jun 25, 2014I have an iphone 5, and during 3 weeks I had to use an iphone 4S because the 5 was "broken". Since I made backup for the 4S during these days, now that I have my iphone5 back again, I tried to backup, but doesn't let me cause it says it has an old software.The problem with that is that now I can't recover my photos an a lot of important information. The most important part is the photos.
Is there a way to get my photos back if I have a backup in my laptop? or is there a way to make a backup of the iphone 4S even that says that the software is too old for the iphone5?Â
