All of a sudden the profile pics from Facebook are not linking through to my contacts and texts anymore. Been on phone to helpdesk and no luck. Tried allsorts.
View 1 RepliesI just recently got my xperia x10 and had to almost immediately upgrade to the 2.1 system. I am noticing a few things that I'm not fussy about from the 1.6 system but the thing that is bugging me the most is that I cannot (figure out how to) link contacts in my phonebook to their facebook and twitter accounts. In 1.6, when you edited a contact it gave you the option to click LINK. I cannot find any of this on the new system. As well, for contacts that I had linked before, their facebook profile pic (current from the time when i linked them before upgrading to 2.1) shows up on their contact information (i usually only link facebook, as i dont use twitter as much) and their profile is linked. However when i go into EDIT, it says FACEBOOK, Timescape and a big exclamation mark that has a message beside it saying : Timescape Plug-In Manager contact information is not editable on this device.
i SHOULD be able to edit and link all my contacts. that was the whole purpose of the xperia having this timescape program.
A few days ago my message had lost and I wanted to restore back.My friend suggested me to use the restore function but after it complete, my files such as photo and contact and even new message had all lost. How can I recover back all of my files or undo the restore and make it back to the phone just like before I did my restoration.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwe have 3 mini pros, mine, wife and workmate.we are all having the same issue which is our phone will no longer connect to wifi we have tried the following-
-updated firmware 2.1
-made sure signal strength is excellant
-reset settings
-reset modem and made sure password and security details are correct
-used different modems and wifis to test the phone
-downloaded and used wifi apps ie wifi fixer etc
- read the hundreds of suggestions in different forums regarding this issue with this phone... noone has had any real success. maybe one or two people like i said, we have 3 of these phones with 3 different wifi modems. and have tried connecting to other wifi... it just refuses to connect its a shame becuase i can speak for the others in saying , if i knew the wifi didnt work on this phone we would never of bought it.
I set up sync when first installing the PC companion, and everything has worked great until a few days ago. Now it won't sync and I keep getting random alerts day and night. I've checked the settings and I have a random looking username which I can't change as it's greyed and not selectable. Password is hidden but only shows 8 chars and not 10 as it should be. The only way to stop the annoying alerts is switch background data traffic off, but then my apps like sat nav need it!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my phone yesterday via Ebay. I put my Virgin sim card into it and it worked perfectly. I could send SMS and make calls. When I got home I updated the firmware to 2.1.1.A.0.6.
Everything seemed fine but I didn't check if I could phone or SMS. I just assumed it was OK. This morning at work I realised I could not send SMS or make phone calls. I got my friend to ring me and all he got was my number could not be connected to. I can still use mobile internet and emails. If I make a call it says "Call Ended" almost immediately.
I put my sim into my friends T-Mobile phone and it works fine. It also works in my Virgin Nokia phone. I've tried a factory reset, a firmware refresh and changing the APN settings with no luck.
Home screen doesn't rotate when the phone is turned around but it does immediately after an app is launched.

Luckily they all know each other.I've searched across the forums but can't find an answer as to how I may have inadvertently set up a 'group'. I've tried deleting all of the numbers and re-entering them but the problem remains.

In Froyo, before the standard contacts facility was used, there was an ability to "link" duplicate contacts together to merge their details. Is that still possible in the Gingerbread world, and if so, how do you do it?
Could receive texts but not reply or send. Tried to turn on Data Roaming. Get message warning of potential high costs, but even when accepting this, get message saying you can't turn on Data Roaming when outside your home network. Is this the problem? Do you need to turn on Data Roaming before you leave the UK in order to be able to send texts from abroad?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a new V10, added my gmail account, and it created a contact for just about every email I've ever interacted with in the 10 years using gmail. I'm obviously missing something - I just want the 200+ contacts I have defined on contacts.google.com to sync on the phone after linking it to a gmail account. What am I missing? I don't remember this with previous Android phones.
I tried doing a factor reset, setting up as a new device, linked the gmail account, but it still decided to create 2000+ contacts.
I just purchased my Atrix phone this past Sunday and then updated it Sunday evening. Now I can't find how to link duplicate contacts. how to do this?

It could turn on again, but some settings were gone (VPN settings and Mobile Networks). I did the "Settings Reset", but it didn't work, nothing happened.
I can't receive phone calls and or texts, nor can I go online thru my Mini pro. What's wrong with my cellphone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI backed up content using the backup/restore app that came with the phone, and i spoke to someone at o2 who said if i did that, i would be able to restore my texts and contacts (main things i care about atm) onto HTC Desire S, using that back up which i saved to my sd card. I have just given the x10 to a courier who has taken it away, and just tried to work out how to restore back onto the Desire, and now i'm starting to realise it may not actually work that way
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 3GS, and since I upgraded to iOS5 it won't send text messages! I have plenty of service, but I can't send texts. The bar will get close to the end, but never say "message sent". I've rebooted and reset everything already multiple times and it STILL won't work. I turned off my 3G and it STILL won't work. It never did this until I upgraded the software.

I've tried upgrading the software through PC companion and that hasn't resolved the issue. (It's not in airplane mode and I've also tried powering on/off/on, cleaning SIM card etc)
