I just connect iPhone 5 last night, iTunes asked for restore I thought it's back up by mistake. After restore all my photos from last two month gone and photo from last year come to phone! How can I get them back? photo are very import and memorable for me.

I previously had the iphone 4 but yesterday I upgraded to the 4S. I got home and restore all the information from my phone into my itunes account. This way I could plug in my new phone and do a backup restore to get all the apps, contacts, music etc on my new phone. However, within the past two months I have purchased quite a bit of music on my phone through itunes. Since then I had not synced my phone to itunes so I did that yesterday when restoring it. When I plugged in the 4S and did the backup restore, I do not have the songs that I have purchased within the past two months on my phone or in my itunes account. How do I get these back?

I really screwed up and had to do a factory reset so I lost my apps and all my settings. The only thing that I see is the Memo app. The Restore has recovered most of my data. What's missing is all the memos that contain a ton of important info. What do I need to do to recover the data? The data was not restored through a restore from backup.

For reasons which are now irrelevant, I had lost some photos through attempting to sync with iTunes. (I clicked off the process before it had completed-hence why I only lost a few) In order to get these back, I tried a 'restore from backup'- unbeknownst to me, this back up was from a few months ago. I have now lost 300+ photos (among other, less important things). I am on Windows 7 and have found the backup files in windows explorer as suggested in numerous forums but have no idea what to do with them now...I understand that these photos may simply be lost. But at the moment I'm refusing to believe that they have been deleted from the face of the earth as NOWHERE along the line did I press 'delete' or any other such commands.

I just got the 4S and I went on a trip immediately after buying it, so I used it as a camera for the trip. When I came back I plugged it into my computer and was asked if I wanted to put my iPod touch backup on the iPhone. Thinking it would just put all the music and photos from my iPod onto the phone, I clicked yes, and also installed the newest update. I mistakenly selected restore backup on my computer with my iphone 5S plugged in and little did i know it was going to delete all of my photos and contacts that I had from the past year and send me back to my last backup which was when ios 7 came out (LAST YEAR!!) I really need these photos and contacts back, so I did some research about recovering deleted files on my phone and turns out applications like these exist. I just don't know which ones to get. Most of them range from $50 to $100 so i really don't want to have to buy two of them. Some of them are called PhoneRescue, MobiSaver, Wondershare Dr. Fone...etc and i tried all of their 'free trials' and none of them worked.

I backed up my old BB Curve last week before I went into town to get the new BB Bold.When I came home I did the switching devices thing on my computer with both phones.They both have separate memory cards in but the Curve had all my old stuff; camera pics, voice notes and vids.Since backing up the Curve or switching devices to the Bold all that has disappeared!I thought that was the whole point of backing up something was to not loose it all, but it seems to have done exactly that! I can only assume that all of those were saved on the memory card not the phone, but I'm not sure, what is the default setting, and why it has disappeared in the first place!

I just had my iPhone 5s replaced and restored from backup.
a) most of my apps were missing (meh, not a huge deal to purge)
but more importantly,
b) I can't download certain apps now. For instance, I try to restore Gmail from the cloud and I keep getting a "This item isn't available", which I find pretty unlikely for the GMail app.Â
Is this something with my account? Are others seeing this as well?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently restored my iPhone4 on my Mac computer and I'm absolutely freaking out because my iTunes will not locate the correct backup (even when I left click on the iPhone icon in iTunes tool bar and select "Restore from Backup"). However, I can locate the file on my computer from the Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/Backup. I've tried dragging it a bunch of different places/renaming the file to get it to show up in iTunes but nothing's working I saw that before I completed the most recent backup, it said the date before that was around mid-Jan 2012. The only backup file my iTunes can find is from 2010! My phone is not jail broken but if that's what it would take to get all of my data back.... I'm basically deserate.

This morning my while checking my email on my phone, the screen went black for 5 minutes, and eventually the apple logo appeared and when blank again, i then turned on my phone and it said i had to connect it to iTunes, which i did. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to copy all my data from my torch to my bold siince the torch has to go for repairs, have tried deivce switch, normal backup and restore, backup through blackberry protect, everything else works fine except the copy of contacts, which obviously is the most improtant thing. when i try to restore the contacts through the DM, through the customize option where i can select what i want to restore (contacts, emails, etc) everything else is open to choose except the contacts, where i cant select the contacts as its marked in grey and a little piece of information below says this is only a read only data hence cant be copied.

I just installed "the latest" update - but just as the update program tells me to I made a backup to the SD card. But now the backup file cant be read back to restoration of the system.
Is there a way to go around this and open the backup file and extract some of the info?
