Feb 19, 2015I was given someone else's phone that will not boot. I know very little about Android -- but am more computer-literate than the owner and that's how I ended up with it.
The phone freezes when booting. After it shows the AT&T logo, the frozen screen has an "htc one" logo with "beats audio" written down below.
I would like to pull the photos off of this device (which means I can't do a factory reset) but how to do it. I don't believe the phone has been modified in anyway (rooted or whatever). What can I do?

I noticed today that when I looked in my pictures, a lot of the ones I've 'deleted' actually showed up in the folder - or at least the thumbnail did. When I tried to open it properly I got the message 'unable to display file'. Is there any way I can get these pics back? Clearly they're in the phones system somewhere.
