iPhone 4S won't connect to any charger or computer to charge or connect. The battery is now flat and I really need to get some photos from the phone that are not backed up, is there any way I can access it like a USB thumb drive to copy the photos.

If I leave the phone to die it will take for ever to charge and power up, sometimes overnight. And also since this is a built in battery, why does it lose time when the battery goes out.

When I take my iPhone out of my pocket, I find myself sometimes searching for the home button only to realize it's the back of the phone. Not a huge deal. Still love the design and it feels great in hand.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy mums iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1 had 30% battery left this morning then 10mins later I tried calling her and it rang out and went to voicemail.. 5mins later she noticed phone was unresponsive and had a black screen and pressing buttons wouldn't do anything oh and she didn't feel the phone vibrate or ring when i was calling... so after pressing both unlock circle and top button and putting on charge it appeared the phone had lost all battery power.
So the phone went from 30% to 0% in a matter of 15mins? We think the phone may still be under apple 1yr warrant but not sure. But any else experienced this issue and is there any I can do or should it be taken back to apple to look at?

When I try to charge it using my PC's USB port, the PC will try and identify it as a flash drive, but it will then bomb out - this is an endless cycle (the sound Windows makes when adding USB Flash drive and then removing it). Using different USB ports has the same result. I am not sure whether charging occurs, but after 10min or so I am still unable to switch the phone on.So I went to the device manager and I can see it reloading each time the N97 tries to register as a USB device. Then I went and looked at which port the N97 is connected to (open each USB root hub and look at the Power tab - ie refresh each time the new device found sound is played from Windows - the USB hub that will be connected to the phone will be indicated by "nokia usb flashing parent"). By disabling the applicable hub, the phone actually showed the Nokia logo on a white screen with the battery life indicator (non charging)when I then re-enabled the USB Root Hub, the display remained on the phone and it started charging.Without disabling the hub the phone would just continue to endlessly find and then discard the "flash drive".I was using Windows XP SP3.Nokia OVIsuite 2.2.0.241 I did manually terminate any Nokia processes prior to disabling the USB Root Hub (not sure how many tried to rerun again)finally it is charging again. Wasn't too keen on what happened, because I don't carry the charger with me when traveling abroad.

I recently bought an iPhone 5c and i love it. I went to the beach and took a bunch of photos with my friends and the next day i plugged my phone into the computer to sync music. I backed up my iphone 4 to itunes (not icloud) yesterday, and today i went to the apple store to see if they could fix a broken lock button. I have a first generation Storm and the charging port has evidently worn down to the extent that can't be reliably used. On top of that I have some memos backed up that are invaluable to me.
