i have successfully upgraded to 2.1.Still facing some problems...My Notification tone always beeps with a vibrating mode as well...When i tried to disable the vibration mode, To my surprise i could not find SMS settings option in the SettingsSonyericsson?? menu....i have settings for camera, timescape only..So shud i repair my upgrade?

After the V2 upgrade taking so long, and still no manual exposure, I find it highly unlikely we will ever get manual exposure settings on the Sony Xperia series. I will sell my Xperia Z5 premium and get myself an LG G4.
I so miss Sony-ericsson logo and startup screen after upgrading to ICS...

It is important to notice that I didn't removed such icons, because IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. When you remove/insert icons on this panel, they auto arrange in this screen. So it is not possible to leave the screen with these "holes".

This happens when I switch users in the phone. The guest user does not have the same icons than the proprietary, so when I switch back, my icons are not restored. To workaround I have to edit this menu and move any icon, or restart the phone.
My Sony Experia compact Z3 propose me to do the upgrade in Lollipops 5.1.1. I await because I wanted to shave my data before doing it. Without doing anything and without accepting the upgrade, my Sony has done the upgrade this morning. After the upgrade, my mobile is from scratch, I have lost everything...Is there a solution to get back my data ? And also is it normal that the mobile erase everything without authorization ?!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to disable notifications from the calendar app - but the context menu is missing - nothing happens when I pust the menu button. A second symptom is that when the notifications appear, there are no buttons to snooze or dismiss.
The background is taht I have upgraded to android 2.1 and installed a few different calendar apps to get a better widget. I ended up with Gemini and uninstalled the other apps and widgets again. Which ones I tried and when the problem appeared I do not know. So if the problem was present after the upgrade or later...?

But after I upgraded to version 4.0 I bought the license. There is only a small problem now, there is no menu now to select "My Maps" and download. I recently updated my xperia mini pro to android 2.3.4. The new features like video on Gtalk, 3D panaromic camera, swype, etc. are welcome changes.But what disappoints me is that one essential thing is still missing, a smart dialer. Yes, I can pick one from the market, lots available for free, but none will blend in with the default theme of the phone. So SE please think on providing this.Another thing is the missing animations. SE stands out for style but again two really nice animations are removed. One is the CRT like animation you get when the screen is turned off on hitting the power button. Second one is when you open the SMS app.
