Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Missing Notes After 2.1 Update - How To Retrieve
Nov 24, 2010I used the default 'Notes' app in 1.6 to store lots of info (and my gf's xmas list!) and now in 2.1 it's empty. I used the backup/restore and even Zipped my SD Card separately in case of data loss but cannot work out how to retrieve my notes.

Nov 7, 2011I recently updated my xperia mini pro to android 2.3.4. The new features like video on Gtalk, 3D panaromic camera, swype, etc. are welcome changes.But what disappoints me is that one essential thing is still missing, a smart dialer. Yes, I can pick one from the market, lots available for free, but none will blend in with the default theme of the phone. So SE please think on providing this.Another thing is the missing animations. SE stands out for style but again two really nice animations are removed. One is the CRT like animation you get when the screen is turned off on hitting the power button. Second one is when you open the SMS app.

Sep 9, 2011I updated Music Unlimited today from version 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 and it... just stopped working.If I'm online, it starts loading but at 47% it says that it can't connect to the server and the application exits.But the best part is that I cannot even use my offline playlists... if I start the application while offline, it says that I must be online to activate offline playlists! Incredible but true.

Is anyone else experiencing this or have I gone completely madder?

Before I upgrade S60, "refresh" option could be found at
Go to Music ( from main menu ) then go to Music Library( not Music Store ) so the screen displays Artists, Albums etc. Press Options and Refresh Library is second option.
After upgrading, "refresh" disappeared.
I have those old items too, but "Refresh library" is slotted between "Show open apps." and "Go to Music store". Strange how yours isn't showing...
I guess this issue caused by the new SW update(v 11.0.045).
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Missing Music Widget For Standard Dock After GB Update?
Jul 25, 2011I looked through the recent threads to see if this has been covered, but was unable to find anything. I use the standard dock at work a lot; mainly for charging the device and listening to music. After the GB update, I noticed that the little widget for playing/pausing/FFD music is gone.
Any ideas as to why, and is there a fix for this? Anything in the market to d/l for a quick Play/Pause function witout having to exit from the dock software?
I'm running stock software, with no mods on the phone. Also, I am not talking about the "Play All" app launcher which moves you to the Music app and proceeds to shut the screen off at the regular screen time-out interval. This was a widget working within the Widget Clock dock software upon docking the phone in the standard dock.
Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Calendar Menu Is Missing?
Dec 21, 2010I want to disable notifications from the calendar app - but the context menu is missing - nothing happens when I pust the menu button. A second symptom is that when the notifications appear, there are no buttons to snooze or dismiss.
The background is taht I have upgraded to android 2.1 and installed a few different calendar apps to get a better widget. I ended up with Gemini and uninstalled the other apps and widgets again. Which ones I tried and when the problem appeared I do not know. So if the problem was present after the upgrade or later...?

But after I upgraded to version 4.0 I bought the license. There is only a small problem now, there is no menu now to select "My Maps" and download. Aug 25, 2012So, I've always been on the stock GB rom it shipped with and had no issues. I decide to update to ICS but since the update doesn't show up in PC companion or Update Service or OTA, I get flashtool and the stock .431 ftf and flash my mini pro (SI 1249-0751) to ICS (and also plug in a fresh new 32GB microSDHC card to celebrate). A bit laggy, crashes of the contact viewer when searching throught the dialpad, but that's okay, I can use a different launcher (Zeam) and dialer app (Dialer One).But when I open the camera app and try to take a picture with the front camera ...... there's no option. It's gone.
Another camera app, no front camera.Skype recognises only the rear camera. No front camera.I open the service menu (*#*#SERVICE#*#* i.e *#*#7378423#*#*) and test the secondary camera, and it says "This device does not support the function". The primary works fine. All other supported features work fine. Light sensor (next to the front cam) responds too. (But the Proximity switch doesn't. Not sure if it should. Perhaps that could hint at a hardware problem with the connections from the bottom half to the top slider part.)
I scout the forums and find that there's some some strange relationship between the SD card and the front camera for the Ray (or some other device) . With the old SD card, still no luck.I downgrade to GB. Still not working. Front cam missing.I unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom (CyanogenMod 9.0.0 Stable mango).Still not working. Front cam missing.I reinstall GB, relock the bootloader in the hope of an OTA update and do finally get one (to ICS). I update it. Still not working. Front cam missing.I don't think it's (gulp) hardware. There hasn't been any drop onto a hard surface.

Sep 26, 2012I just updated my Xperia Mini Pro, but after the update, a) new text messages appear at the bottom of the list of texts (so annoying!) and b) the newest text message does not appear on the list when I reply to it.Is this a bug? I really don't think it's a feature.

Nov 10, 2010Just wanted to share my experience. I did the update on November 8. I didn't bother to do the backup. The only real important is the contacts and Google have them already. I used the Update Service tool and it worked like a charm. After restarting the phone I had to go through the setup wizard, which by the way is much improved. I now realized that I had lost all my downloaded applications. I downloaded them again from market. Most of them had all the old data, nice. Some games lost all history, no big deal really. My contacts, mail and calendar was downloaded from Google.
I realy like the fact that it is possible to send contacts by SMS. The images from facebook also works very well.
The one thing that I am still not used to is the unlooking. The habbit of pressing the menu button twice is had to kick. I think the new way with the slider is somewhat safer.Now I am waiting 2.2 with tethering. I hope this will be available for X10 mini some time in the future.
Xperia X10 :: SD Missing After Update?
Dec 19, 2011I finally gave in and updated the phone because the shutdowns and restarts were getting ridiculous but now cant find / or access memory card no matter how many times i restart my phone or take the card out however the card itself is fine and works as i can put it directly in laptop and access my stuff on there.

Jun 29, 2012I just upgraded my mini pro to ICS, it works fine in the first few moments until I realized that my phone can't:
1. Show any album art/cover from the music player. I've tried using the Sony Media Go to add the album arts to the file properties, still it didn't work. Only the 'default' songs from the product i.e brett5000: Globalization, missquerada: Far from love, and 2 others, can display their album cover
2. Update songs. Any new songs that I put into my phone through Sony Media Go aren't shown in the music player, only the old ones are present (though I've deleted it). I found the files when I opened it using a file manager program from the Play Store, but when I played it, none of its properties are present except the title of the song itself. It's not even present in the music player

Jul 30, 2012I tried to update to Android 4.0 via the Sony Ericsson Bridge for Mac. The software prompted me to change the settings to MTP, after I changed, my Mac couldn't detect the phone. After I disconnected the phone, I found that many of my Apps went missing. Went to Google Play store to reinstall the apps, only to get the message "App cannot be installed in default location". My phone memory storage has been really low lately, about 30Mb left, and I haven't installed any new apps. I have moved most of the apps to my SD card, not sure what has happened.
