I turned off the keyboard clicks in the settings-->Sounds page.
Typing seems a little snappier. Whether that's perceived or real I'm not 100% sure.I also wonder if there's any battery savings benefit.
Don't have any sounds when I type on the keyboard, when I receive texts vibrate only. The sound button on the side of phone is on, keyboard clicks On.

Every so often these sounds become very quiet (adjusting the volume does not help) and only switching off and then on again restores them to normal levels

I honestly don't know what I did, but one of my contacts has basically become muted. I do not get any type of notification when he sends me a text message and even in the text message list, there is the mute symbol next to his name (bell with diagonal slash)How can I remove this? He is someone with whom I text regularly and I can't continue to be unaware when I receive messages from him.

My iPhone 4 has suddenly stopped ringing when someone calls/texts. Its not on mute. When I press the volume buttons & the mute button noting happens - no display on the screen to show they are responding.
My son has some apps on my phone & there is no sound coming out of those either. But if I go into settings & change ringtone I can hear the different ring tones. Also if I plug in headphones I can listen to music.
I have been docking my phone into speakers lately & noticed that its vibrated a couple of times when I have done this.
I have turned it on & off several times, and taken out sim, to no avail.
Haven't tried resetting it, as wasn't sure if I would lose my contacts/music etc?

Microphone on phone picks up your voice as it would on any other call.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 and I am experiencing many issues (heats up, battery consuming, etc.) but the main one is that I can't hear anything (neither the person I call hears me) during the calls. Seems the mic/speaker are blocked.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMi Xoom has stopped playing any sound through the internal speakers. They worked fine in the beginning, but a week ago they were muted for games, video and music. However, i do get the sound through headphones. The speakers are not broken, as i get notification and alarm sounds normally.I tried the factory resetting, but without success...Problem might have come up when i tried headphones for the first time or when downloading some volume control app -unfortunately i cannot say precisely when the problem occurred.
View 13 Replies View RelatedIs there a setting to allow a caller to be heard through the vehicle speakers while not muting the microphone?
The reason I ask is when I connect the Photon to the vehicle navigation dock it defaults the calls to speakerphone (not the vehicle speakers) and if I turn the speakerphone off the caller can be heard through the car speakers BUT the caller cannot hear me.
Gettig a lot of notifications and I didn't want to keep having everyone be disturbed so I put the phone in silent mode. Sure enough my wife calls again; strangely I can hear her but she can't hear me and hangs up. Assuming that there was a problem with her signal I call her back to she if things cleared up. She still couldn't hear me and hung up again. I thought to turn silent mode off and attempt to call her again. She could hear me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new S5 and notice when I plug in headphones the notification sounds are still audible from the phone speaker. I had an S3 and S4 and I'm certain when I plugged my headphones in the ringtones, etc were no longer audible. The were heard on the headphones along with the music or whatever I was listening to. Why this may be happening?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI sent my 3 day old mobile into Virgin Media for a loose home button (doesn't register clicks properly) and was called today to say it would cost 200 to fix as the phone has been rooted and this voids warranty. Initially they agreed a door swap as I was within 14 days, and then phoned a day later to say it had to be sent for repair instead.
Yes, KNOX is tripped but I've read many reports in the UK warranty should still be covered. I've asked for the handset to be returned. It was returned to stock via Odin before sending in, so it's the Knox trip they're hedging this on.
Since Nokia maps became free to use for driving with spoken directions, I've decided to use it again on my 5800 rather than another piece of Nav software that I had. Whilst it seems to work great, my only problem seems to be that it announces the directions over Bluetooth. As my phone is connected to my car via a built in Bluetooth kit (parrot), whenever I activate routing with spoken directions, the phone takes over the audio and mutes the stereo (with "PHONE" displayed on my factory head unit). The stereo is then muted for the whole journey or until I exit from Nokia maps. So it seems my only options are driving without music, or mute the 5800 and route without spoken directions ?

(On a side note, it never actually accepts any of my commands ever. But that's not my issue right now.)Even after I close it, a few seconds later it will pop up again on its own.I thought maybe it was a stuck side key, but I disabled it, assigning it to nothing. The phone becomes muted as a result of the above. I cannot hear the DTMF beeps when dialing, I cannot hear the ringing, I cannot hear the other person, and the other person cannot hear me.Needless to say this has made using my phone pretty much impossible.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a convenient way to delete them other than hitting the BB button and two clicks after that for each one? It would be nice if there were a way to mark several of them for deletion (like you can in Gmail on a computer, for example), or at least set up a shortcut key to delete, but I haven't figured either of those out yet.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the phone for half a week, love everything about it, but the screen sensitivity.
Many times when using it, it will think I have touched the screen even though my thumb is 1/2 to 1/4 inch above the screen.
I have my S2 for some days now. and suddenly my speaker acts weird. Every time sound is played (keyboard, calls, music, ....) the speaker acts weird don't know how to describe it:
1) It makes the right sound so thats Ok.
2) While playing the sound, the speaker clicks on (you can hear a click).
3) Then it makes a noise (you can compare it when you put your speaker from your PC really loud but ain't playing music or something).
4) After that it makes the click again.
