Mar 19, 2012I have a problem with my home button. It works every time I press it and iPhone act correctly, but the pressing itself isn't as it should be. So the button doesn't work soft, elastically and neatly. It feels like there's something inside the mechanism. And the sound of pressing the button isn't typical.But the iPhone is almost new and it works great apart from the button. I've searched for it on the Internet but it seems that I'm the only person with this problem, because the button actually works and the phone responds to pressings every time.

Mar 19, 2012Ever since I installed the iOS 5.1 update on my iPhone 4, the home button does not work at all! I've tried every trouble shooting solution I could find. I've Restarted, I can't hard reset because the home button doesn't work, I've restored from back up, I've restored as new, I've vacuumed out and gently used a tooth brush in the port below the home button in attempt to remove any dust. I've tried opening a factory installed app such as Maps, Safari, Stocks etc and held the top button until the "Slide to power off" showed and then held down the home button until it went to home screen except it didn't go to the home screen at all the "slide to power off" disappeared after a while. I have extremely intermittent response with the Home Button. If i press it continuously it will work after 27 presses one time or 9 presses another but never when I try to do a hard reset and 9.999 times out of 10 it doesn't work.

Since I upgraded to 5.1, I encounter the above mentioned problem. On tapping the camera icon on the locked iPhone screen, I can't launch the built-in camera. Nothing happens. (I must unlock the iPhone and tap the camera icon in order to take a picture).
1. I didn't have this problem after upgrading to iOS 5.0
2. I can still access the music buttons on the locked screen on iOS 5.1 though.

Apr 6, 2012This afternoon my Iphone 3gs started to vibrate continously for about 2/3 minsutes whilst having a black screen. I then tried to bring the home screen up and none of the buttons would work. The power button hasn't worked for sometime so the remedy of holding the power and home button together won't work.

Sep 1, 2014My iphone 5 screen just stopped responding to any touch stimuli. The home button works, and Siri works, but I cannot use the screen at all. Also, my lock button hasn't worked in a few months, so I've been using Assistive Touch to lock and power down my phone. I was hoping to try to reset my phone (home+lock) and see if that worked the screen issue, but I can't find a way to power down. Any tips? Should I restore the phone with iTunes? Or is this the end of the line for my phone?
