My buddy just got an iPhone. I am not sure if he got the 3G or 3G[S]. I am going to jailbreak the phone for him. My question is can i put the all the apps i have on my computer (windows) on his phone and he still is able to connect to itunes on his computer and still sync?

I know that this is an extremely idiotic question but looking online, there are web pages on how sync between Google calendar, but no sign of hotmail!
I saved my calendar onto the computer and I got an iCal(ics) file and apparently, nokia PC suite don't accept this file type! I tried to use sync, but the only half the calendar came out correctly while some meetings came out as saying tentative or nothing.In some parts of the calendar, there are two meetings at once, this displays fine on outlook, but will this affect the view on the phone?
so i just upgraded my 8520 OS to 5. i went to lock the phone, and it didn't lock in the way that i was used to. the phone when to sleep instead of locking. is there a way to revert the lock feature back to the way it was, or is this how it locks with OS 5?

With this set-up she has a password lock for the screen, which works fine and she knows exactly what she's doing with. Then about four weeks down the line she tells me she woke up one morning, typed in her password but was told it was wrong and she had 9 attempts left. After looking more closely at it, it was actually asking for a device password - which neither my girlfriend nor me has ever set up on the Blackberry.After doing some research the first time, we tried everything - connecting it to device manager, inputting letters instead of numbers, etc. but eventually had to wipe the phone.So then after setting the phone up for a second time straight after, this morning she tells me the same thing has happened again and she's had to wipe her phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last week or so my phone keeps putting itself into silent mode, so it doesn't ring when someone is calling me or make a sound when I get messages. This is a nuisance as I keep missing calls. The only way that I can get the phone to ring is to restart the phone, however it will then randomly set itself back into silent mode at some later point in time. When I go into sounds and notifications it will not allow me to increase the ringer volume.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI hope this hasn't been asked before; if it has and I searched on the wrong keywords, my apologies.Is it possible to set the Lumia 710 up so that it ends a current call when I press the button on top of the phone to put it into standby mode?
I've been caught a couple of times when leaving voicemail messages by the fact that I press the button, the 'phone plays a "ker-lick" noise and the screen goes black; but when I switch it back on again, the connection's still open and the call is still on-going.
Normally, this isn't an issue, as the call ends when the other party puts their phone down, or the voicemail reaches the end of the available message time; but I recently called someone who's got an honest-to-goodness answerphone on the shelf next to their phone, and it was happy to leave the connection open for well over an hour. As a result, I've just received a bill from my provider costing two-and-a-half times as much as usual - money I can scarce afford as I'm currently "resting" between jobs.
It would be neat if switching the phone off (or, at least, putting the phone on standby) ended the current call.
9650 is my first BB ever. I'm generally happy with it.A few questions. Does anyone know how to get contacts, calender entries, memo's, tasks, etc into the phone through the use of a laptop? The CD-ROM that came with it wasn't recognized by my laptop for some reason so I just downloaded Desktop Manager from the BB website. I thought the manager would have the fields for this and I could just syncronize it with the laptop. To my disappointment this was not the case, apparently D.Manager is just a backup tool.I called Sprint and I was told I could use Gmail to enter contacts which is what I have been slowly doing. Oh yal, I don't have Microsoft Outlook either.Does anyone know of some software or something that can help me get ALL of the above mentioned item information into the phone thru my computer?Also, can anyone tell me why my battery runs out of a full charge rather quickly?? I have to charge it everyday and that's because I hardly make or receive calls. I think I use the phone (browser, messaging, etc) less than the average person. By the way I set my brightness to 50 and the back lighting time to 10 seconds which I think are pretty generous settings to help save battery energy. Yet the phone still needs a charge everyday. Reviews say it will last 4 to 5 days on standby. Not the case for me at all.Lastly, do any 9650 Sprint owners out there notice the end key (red) to be kinda faded?? Wondering if Igot a lemon in that respect, my red keys look faded and the white of the buttons (majority of keypad) lean towards a whitish-orangeish hue instead of what looks like the brighter whitish-blueish hue. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I just recently got an iPhone 4, and have been setting up all of my e-mail accounts, calendars, contacts, etc. My previous phone (not an iPhone) transferred all of my contacts, including e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and home addresses, to my new iPhone. I also set up iCloud to sync and backup all of my important data in case something were to happen. I never had these contacts on my PowerBook address book, and I would like to add them. However, I have been hitting several problems when I attempt to sync my new iPhone, with all my contacts, to my PowerBook G4, which has none. Numerous sources have told me that iTunes is set to sync the older data with the newer data. When I attempt to sync, I get an extra empty folder in my iPhone contacts labeled "on my Mac," with nothing in it.

I'm experiencing a problem with my contacts and trying to sync Facebook information. Before I would update my Facebook contacts it but the link to the Facebook profile and updated the photo. Now it's not updating photos and putting a "0" under Facebook field in the contact.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have like 100 mb of memory, I install 5.0 over wireless update today for verizon and now I have like 40 mb of memory. Which is not enough. I know the OS wasn't that big. It has to have 4.7 still on there right? How do I delete those files? Why didn't it delete it before? Or did it create some kind of backup file on my phone when I did the wireless update? I didn't do it through DDM. Please help because I don't have enough memory to get a bunch of apps anymore because I went to 5.0
