how i can add a shortcut to the "apps" folder to the homescreen of my 5800. i've no problem editing the 4 home screen shortcuts to link to either an application or a www link. but, how can i create a shortcut on the home screen, so that wen i tap it (on the home screen),it wud open the "apps" folder.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...

it's quite stupid NOKIA had separated between the two. there should be one business-like homescreen (with emails, tasks, search-bar and apps), and another more friendly with favourite contacts and apps.Cannot understand why nokia shoot it's own leg with these stupid desicions... hope it will be fixed in the next firmware update.

However, I would also like to have my calendar visible on the home screen, as is possible on the Shortcuts Bar Theme. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to have both the Contacts Bar and the Calendar visible on the Home Screen.
I currently have a Motorola Admiral synced with our work's Microsoft Exchange server. In our Outlook email account we have certain emails redirected into subfolders in our incoming email. For example we have an inbox and under the inbox is a subfolder where all 'delivery ticket' emails are redirected into. On the Admirals there is an icon alert and also an audio alert every time there is an incoming message in our email account. However the only time we get the subfolder emails is by going into the email folder, clicking on the inbox then the subfolder and letting it refresh that way. I looked through EVERYWHERE trying to see if I could set it to automatically refresh. Also is there a reason I don't get any type of alert when an emails comes into that subfolder? I even tried adding a shortcut directly onto one of the main screens only for this subfolder but I can't do it. I can only add a shortcut for the main inbox.

I guess it happened since I installed BestBlacklist free applications from ovi site. Then I uninstalled that application and even restored factory settings, but notifications didn't come back. Unfortunately the actual URL changes every day, and the website takes care of the details by changing the URL from a generic one to a specific URL based on the current date. All I have to do is navigate to the generic URL (by clicking on the website's menu), and the correct URL is formulated.
I would like to add this generic URL to my home screen. However, when the page loads it's already too late to save a shortcut to home screen, because the URL has changed. And I cannot find a way to edit the URL before the shortcut is created, or later.

Im finding out that the iPhone 4 takes more time to get to my contacts even though there is a favorites section. I'd like to put that on the home screen instead of having to click phone>contacts>favorites>then scroll to find my favorites. I want to swipe to the contacts page and click one of my top 9 favorite contacts! Possible? If not, I plead with Apple to make this possible. It was the only thing I liked about my Droid!

How do I remove a shortcut from the Home Screen of a Nokia 700? I'm a bit clumpsy with the touch screen and I keep adding shortcuts for everyrhing. It's easy enough (too easy) to add them, but how can I remove/delete them? There doesn't seem to be any option to deleting them and it's not mentioned in the manual.
