I have just got a new N8 (as I damaged my old one), and every 10 minutes it makes a noise, like something dropping in water. I have no apps or anything open, no messages etc so I've no idea why its making this noise?
View 4 RepliesFor the last few days, my iPhone 4S has been making a sound that's like a droplet of water falling into a sink. It's at random times, and it's not a notification for anything (and isn't even an option in my sounds menu).

I have just got my N5800 but one thing is driving me crazy - it randomly makes a "ching ching" noise and its very irritating - its just done it twice while I am typing this up. Is there some application that I have got open (ie checked and cant see any) or is there some kind of alert that I have forgot to turn off - either way its doing my head in. The alrm function seems to do what ever it wants, so far it will either got off on time or 3 mins late or just not at all - am I missing something ? Surely the alarm function cant be that complicated to set and get right?

I can't see a pattern and the short noise it makes is not one of the ones listed in the notification sounds in settings. It still vibrates in silent mode and I've installed a notification history app but there is no record of any notifications at the appropriate times. Nfc is turned off.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that after you have shot a video while using the volume/zoom switch to zoom in and out that when you play back the video you can hear the clicking of the switch? If you use the slide zoom on screen, the microphone also picks up the noise from your finger moving across the screen using that method too. This is a major problem as you cannot hear what you have filmed when you play it back, when I took it back to the shop where I purchased it from to explain about it they checked all the other N8's in the shop and they too had the same fault. Come on Nokia you managed to be able to get it right on my old N95-00 without it making the clicking noises,so you must be able to sort it out on the N8, the videos at the moment are unwatchable as all you hear is click, click ,click where the zoom button has been pressed. I bought this phone mainly for the excellent camera/video but at the moment all I have is a very expensive touch screen phone

I have to lock the screen and then unlock it or else there is no response by touching it. I could be browsing web or checking email and it will go dark, it is not because of lack of activity.

Its annoying when I am trying to record something, Sometimes it will reflect off surfaces.. Also the Camera Shutter noise is annoying, Interrupts silence when I want to take pictures, at special events. Is there a way to Disable these 2 things?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my LG G3, when I want to make correction to the text that I have typed, I see a "droplet" icon near the character I want to change. This is the icon that is used to drag and place the cursor somewhere else. (I do not know the correct technical term for this draggable icon.)
The problem is that I cannot touch and drag this droplet icon. Usually this icon is rectangle in shape, but I see it as a droplet icon. Initally it was a rectangle icon. I accidently pressed some key which changed the cursor to "droplet" shape.
My phone has been acting really strange recently (multiple apps shutting down, long app loading time, extremely bad battery life-- almost 20% decrease with 2 hour use) So I visited apple store today and they told me that all of the symptoms were due to water damage of my phone.
And water damage was least of my suspections. Okay so my phone has been near water, but never in it. I take my phone to the shower sometimes for music and that's the closest my phone got to water. The apple store showed me how the supposed to be white sticker inside the charging jack turned red and they told me that my warranty is now void.
They also told me that I need to pay $200 if I want a replacement and that there is nothing they can do when I told them that this phone has never been in water or suffered water related accidents.
I asked them if there was only one water damage indicator in a iphone. The person told me that there were four, two on the outside and two in the inside. He opened up my phone and told me that only one water damage indicator (external one) but they only need one indicator to turn red to void my warranty.
When I repeatedly told him that I never had my iphone near water he told me that it only takes one drop of water to trigger the indicator and that it could be anything like a raindrop. I think this is absurd.

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy phone dropped in a puddle of water last night. i quickly pulled it out but of course water got into it. it was working fine at first then this afternoon it started freezing up on me. the phone now works except for the keys. when i open up a blank SMS sheet or open up WhatsApp the cursor starts moving on its own as if the space key is stuck and i have to press the middle button a few times b4 i get a response. Any solutions? i tried blow drying it, and i put it in a bag of rice for a few minutes. should i leave it in the rice overnight?!

I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
My E7 had fell in the water about 3 weeks ago. I dry them with cloth and hair dryer from far. Than I put them in the bucket of rice. It work fine , but the led light keep flashing when I make a call. Now the screen suddenly gone grey. I haven't got it insured. Only got it after it was available in UK on contract. Please help. Can it be repair? If so I will have to send it to o2. I just want to know if it still repairable in that condition.

Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. But after it was returned to me whenever I am opening the camera hazy lines and grains are appearing and the clarity of picture is not like I used to have before. I keep hearing this high pitch noise on my phone everytime i make calls and recieve calls. I also hear the high pitch noise when i have the phone next to my ear even when not making calls.
