Does anyone know if there's an equivalent application to the Swype Application. I seen it on his HTC Touch Pro. I tried to look for one on the HTC Hero Market, and no luck.
View 4 RepliesIt's great that Swype was included with the X2 so I didn't have to downlaod it, but the fact that it's a system application means it can't be altered and therefore we're stuck with an outdated version. I can understand that the included version was probably current when the Froyo firmware was written for the phone, but to not update Swype to the current version when you rolled out Gingerbread or remove it so we can update it ourselves doesn't make any sense. If I want to have the current version, which is improved, I have to root my phone to remove Swype so I can put it back on. Any plans to change this so we can actually control what's on our phones and keep the apps up-to-date? BTW, Swype's already got another version on the way. [URL]

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just have bought a Nokia X2 mobile a week before. The main reason to buy that mobile is, 5.0 mega pixel camera and some new features which is not in other branded mobiles. After that, I was disappointed and shocked because of the camera is not having the clarity is equivalent to the 5 mega pixel. It seems like 1.x. I don't know Do I need to apply any settings or Is this a manufacturing defect?
Already done camera settings as the following.
Camera pixel : 5.0 mp.
Flash light : off
Even though, I'm capturing the photos with worst quality like darkness. I have attached an image which was taken using my mobile with worst quality (i.e. Nokia X2). I had good trust on Nokia branded mobiles.
I can't use the web application anymore. No matter what 'm trying (deleting cache and cookies, closing the browser, shutting down the system, etc.), everything I get is blank, greenish map. I have tried both Firefox and IE. Strangely enough, on my first trial with IE everything seemed to work until I was asked to update my maps-plugin. After that, same problem as with Firefox.

View 4 Replies View RelatedNoticed at the end of a charging cycle from fully discharged state, that my Blackberry Curve 8520 was displaying"App Err 523ESET"n a white screen.The BB has now become unusable since it has remained in this error state inspite of various resolutions tried as below. ave already tried the following1. Tried hard Reset by removing and putting back the battery. After the usual booting delay of about 2 mins, the BB displayed "Blackberry" on the screen and which was followed by the dreaded white screen again with the above error.. Tried Soft Reset by pressing "alt" kay, "shft" kay on right & "del" key simultaneouly. The BB reboots, but at the end of it, displays the same 'App Err 523' as in 1 above.
3. Tried updating the OS from Blackberry Desktop Manager Ver 6 (?) .....
a) physically connected the BB with USB cable to Laptop ( Windows 7 ) while BB sreen showed the above error.b) Desktop Manager pops up a window displaying 'not able to communicate with the device' and prompts o 'Retry' OR 'Update' OR 'Cancel'.) Clicking on 'Retry' does not help. The same message window pops up again.d) Clicking on 'Update' pops up a window stating 'Checking for available Updates' but goes in indefinite Wait State. While in this state, triggered Soft Reset ( as in 2 above), causing a Reboot. While rebooting, communication with between Desktop and the BB takes place and a new window pops up displaying " No updates available at present" and asks to provide email id "for receiving updates when available".
e) Also tried to boot the BB in Safe Mode by hard booting ( with battery removal & putting back) and by keeping ESCAPE key pressed. The BB Did not boot in Safe Mode, but at the end of the booting cycle, displayed the same 'App Err 523' as in 1 above. ( this also dispells the popular notion that a BB goes into this "App Err 523" state because of some third party applications, since any third party applications are supposed to be bypassed when booting is done by keeping ESCAPE key pressed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe OVI Store application in my phone will not open, everytime I try to open the app it doesn't do anything, so I open the browser to go to the OVI store website, try to download any application and when it is trying to install it says "file corrupted" so I'm not able to install or buy any application from the OVI store. I have the latest software update. I also have the latest OVI suite application for Windows Vista and when I try to install the "software support" it fails.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter much time spend on the ovi maps (trying to get it to work again) I thought I would post here.My problem is as follows, I initially had maps working on my X6 for approx 10 days, had Europe maps installed and Malaysia (as I am roaming here). Now I know that some devise had maps 3.01 installed and this had a 10 day license, I currently have 3.04 installed and when I open the maps application it just opens and closes!I did some searching on the net and tried various things, deleted the cities file folder and the qf file, reconnected to pc and opened ovi suite, the cities folder was re-created but not the qf file?I have checked/watched the installation of maps 3.04 and each time it says successful but when I try to open it just closes straight away and device says no application installed.I had a look at the installed apps on the device for ovi maps and says its there. The other strange this is that ovi maps is installed on the D drive where as every other app in on the C drive?Any help on this would be great as I am currently at a loss and frustrated!

The biggest problem is that i cant install any software for my phone, like .sis and .sisx files. I know about the certificate process which is also a problem but my phone cant even get to that. Everytime i try to install an app, opera mini 7 for example, straight from m.opera.com, it just pops up "File corrupted" error And nokia suite, nokia pc suite,... cant sync with my phone, it wont accept any software install from nokia suite ( "file corrupted" ). This really **bleep** me off Java do just fine, but what's the point of having a s60v3 that can only run java apps?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a torch and recently I changed my password of my gmail account, therefore I am asked to update the password via email set up application. I have done this before and everything works well.
This time, it prompts an update and will not proceed without updating. It requests to install version 6.11.0324.1701 to replace my 6.0.0 version and in the mean time, it prompts a message: if "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client", which is also used by "Email Setup Application". If you proceed, "Email setup up application" may cease to function property. Proceed? I proceeded once and it basically gave me the white screen "Application Error" page when I reboot so I have to reload my entire phone.
My dilemma is, there is no way to bypass this process however my email is not working.
