I have tried in excess of 10 times to install Nokia Ovi Suite on my PC.I have visited this site and tried all of the suggestions, removing existing software, restarting, redownloading the newest version of NOS and installing to no avail.The error message I get every time is:

PC Suite 7.1.40.6 won't install on Windows 7 64-bit
The Installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
I can download the software but when I want to install it, it refuses. Always get the info:Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library and than Program: C:.. This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

I get the message "can't install as you don't have enough space on C:" All my apps that gave me an option are installed on E: so I have none to delete from C:. I tried to delete Maps 3.06 and it appeared to be deleted in the App Manager but it still seems to be there and working. I have cleared all the web browser cache.

Problem: BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) occurs constantly.
I think the problem is the phone drivers (via cable). The program itself shouldn't be it.I made a system recovery, which worked. And my computer was restored. But when I tried once again the same problem occurred.
How can I use the phone with the computer without getting the BSOD?
After the last update (v50) on my nokia xpressmusic 5800 I have no longer access to my internet connection thru WLAN. It shows the error message "Invalid Server Name". My router (DLink WBR1310) uses WEP encryption. How do I solve this problem? Should a hard reset fix this problem?

Whichever download I choose on my phone, and I get to the installer, it tells me that the Jar file is invalid. This is a joke from Nokia, forcing you to download their OVI files through your phone.
View 12 Replies View RelatedToday I decided to install the latest maps available in ovi suite.When I install them I get an error "disc C full", it wants me to remove files to make space available. The thing is, that I now have 20.9MB of free memory there, so I doubt that it can really be insufficient. I think it's rather a bug. I would normally deinstall previous version and install the new one, but since I need this navigation, I can't risk that after deinstalling old one new program won't install anyways.So, any suggestions on what to do? There's nothing left to remove from phone memory.

It was working fine until yesterday when I tried to install version 3.03 to get free drive and walk navigation. OK - I know the N78 is not listed as a supported device but I thought it was worth a crack.At the end of the day I have no functioning maps on the phone. I have downloaded the correct Ovi Maps 3.01 for my phone (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.SIS) but when I try to run this (by double clicking file on PC with phone connected in PC Suite mode) it does not work. I get an error message on the phone to say the file is not supported and a message on the PC saying N78 does not support SIS files.My next attempt was to restore using Ovi Suite to a backup I did yesterday before I started to play with it. This has not worked.Any ideas? Do I need to try an earlier version of Nokia or Ovi maps? Phone is updated with latest software version 30.011.

I tried the following: # set date to 2008 # set software installation settings to "all" # set online certificate check to "off" All this didn't help. Does any one have any idea what can be done about this? tried to find out what firmware is installed but didn't figure out how to find this info. But there should be a way to install Nokia maps here.

I M trying to connect iT through USB CABLE to PC.
I M using WINDOWS 7
But i cant connect it.iT Doesnt Respond.
When i connect the cable it asks for option & then i select PC-SUITE.
In the phone nothing gets displayed, not even a USB logo & phone is not connected through pc-SUITE.
But it connects very well through MASS STORAGE.
I tried to install Ovi maps 3.03 but during the installation, it says there's not enough memory and it asks me to delete something from the C:. But I didn't really put much in C: and I don't know what I can delete without affecting the system.So, when I open "Maps" now, the old version still pops out (it says 3.01 when I click into "About"),but apparently the installer in the PC suite thinks I have 3.03 already.What should I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my e72 since February, but I only just finally got around to downloading ovi suite on my PC. installation was fine, then it came to the part where it says to connect the phone, so I did that, but nothing happened. the thing on the PC said that I should select 'ovi suite' or 'PC suite' when it appears on the phone, but the home screen was blank. i've tried connecting it many times and still nothing. the phone lights up when i connect it to the computer, but it doesn't prompt me for the connection mode. i've checked the settings (currently on usb conn. mode: PC suite / ask on conn.: yes) but it's not asking me on connection, nor is there any indication on the ovi suite program that it is connected.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am not able to sign into Ovi, from the Nokia Ovi Suite. Every time I try doing that it would tell make sure the internet connection is working properly and try again(see attachment). This is ridiculous, I am always connected to the internet using wifi.

I have an X6 and have installed ovi suite. It has worked fine for a couple of weeks and I have been able to succesfully transfer media such as pictures and music.
Now when I click to start up ovi suite it loads the first white page then closes without any error messages. The OVI icon on the bottom right taskbar disapears when I hover the mouse over it. It will not start. I'm getting really sick of this phone and the software.
Does anyone know why this problem is occuring? Every other device I connect regularly (such as ipod, sony ericsson and 2 external HDDs have not suddenly stopped working) so why has this cheapo Nokia suddenly become incompatible?
I installed connectivity cables and nokia pc suite, when I click on connect to phone in pc suite it comes up with usb not recognized and in screen box "unknown device".I have since found out via nokia forum that you now don't have to install connectivity cable driver as they are now in pc suite.Help appreciated.Also this is my first attempt at trying these installs so I may have gone wrong somewhere though I did follow all the instructions.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have done a hard reset on a nokia e66 with firmware 410. When I first connected to ovi suite the maps module showed me internal error. But it wasn't any server error or try again etc. The steps are the following:
1) Format memory card
2) Download ovi maps from nokia website.
3) Open the maps in the phone and accept all the messages
4) Connect to the ovi suite and open maps.
5) And then magically it will tell you that you need an update on the maps.
6) Now I am in this step which updating but I think it has stuck.
Shame on you nokia for all these problems for a business telephone such as e66. That's why apple is always a level ahead in its interface and is winning just from that. Simplicity just simplicity.

My ovi suite doesnt see photo albums in my N97 Ovi Suite see the all photo on N97 thats ok, but where s my Photo albums? When I connected N97 to PC, I see only one tab thats name is ALL but I cant see my photo album in my N97 I try to create a album on ovi suite and upload to N97 but I cant do.its seems like a working but dont create a album on n97 Any one has got the same or smilar problem? is this a bug for about Ovi Suite or N97 Software?
