Nokia :: Ovi Suite To Sync Music From Network Drive
Jan 17, 2010Ovi Suite will not allow me to select a Network Drive as the source folder for music is this just a problem for me, or is this a fetaure of OviSuite?

Nokia PC/Mac Software :: Does Suite Have An Option To Sync Music
Mar 24, 2012I have a Nokia N8. I use the Nokia Suite software to exchange data with my computer. It has a Sync function for Contacts, Messages, Pictures etc. But there is no Sync for Music.
I know that I can just copy my music to the phone using Windows Explorer. But I think that it would be more convinient to Sync automatically. So if I change my ID3 tags or if I add new music to my computer, these changes would copied to the phone automatically.

Aug 13, 2010I have tried in excess of 10 times to install Nokia Ovi Suite on my PC.I have visited this site and tried all of the suggestions, removing existing software, restarting, redownloading the newest version of NOS and installing to no avail.The error message I get every time is:

Apr 6, 2010How can I make my nokia E71 sync back with PC Suite after I started using OVI Suite? I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

Apr 9, 2012I recently reset the "network settings" on my IPhone 4, after that all my music in the iPhone disappeared.
When I tried to synchronize it with iTunes the process complete but the music in my iPhone still empty.
Went to iTunes on my PC (windows) and check the "Synchronize music", complete the process but the iPhone still with an empty list of music.
Most of the music was bought in iTunes Store.

Nokia :: N97- Music Folders Not Moving To Mass Drive / USB Lead Not Recognized
Mar 27, 2010Ive got several albums on my memory card and I would like to transfer the music to the mass drive on the N97, I have dropped an album into sounds, then gone into the player and pressed the refresh option but unfortunately the album doesnt appear whatsoever.
Is there a certain folder that has to be made or even for the music to go into for the player to recognise it? Ive tried reversing the option and putting the album back onto my memory card, the album has disappeared altogether but still shows up for transferring to other folders. Can you possibly tell my where Im going wrong.
There is another problem thats arisen, the phone doesnt recognise the usb lead when attached to either my laptop or main pc, Im buying another lead so Im just hoping that would be an answer to my problem on that part.

Jan 7, 2010I have the newest PC-suite version 7.1.40.1 installed on XP. I get my N900 connected to the computer, but i am not able to do anything. For example it isn't possible to pick my phone when i try to sync it with my computer. I can see it in the list, but i can't pick it. The other features in pc-suite doesn't work also, it is just connected.I have searched the net now for many hours and tried updating and installing everything in my opinion. But perhaps i have forgotten something?

Mar 17, 2010I'm unable to sync anything using Nokia Ovi Suite. Whet I startup the program the first message I get is "Operation failed - Unable to read tracks" (the audio tracks from the phone). The software can read and edit contacts in the phone as well as work with messages, but it won't sync either. The error code I get is 83940004. Both Ovi software and phone's firmware a up to date and everything works fine with PC Suite.Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Jun 23, 2010Formalities: Using PCSuite 7.1.40.6 WinXP SP3 I have an N97. The synchronising works fine, I've used it for months, no problems at all. Except for notes.I use notes all the time at work, but they don't synchronise at all.If I create a new note on the phone, it will sync to Outlook.Same vice-versa.But if I update a note on the phone, it won't update to Outlook. Annoying as I constantly update and change notes as the day goes on.Basically, if there is a new note, it works.If there is an update to an existing note, it doesn't.I was thinking of trying Ovi, but I have in the past and it doesn't do all PC Suite does (I can't set another Calendar other than default to sync. My main outlook calendar isn't the one that syncs with the phone, in Ovi that's all you get, you can change this in PC Suite).Is this note update a bug in PC Suite, and even though you're not supporting it anymore, can we have an update, Ovi just isn't ready for me!

May 23, 2010I am using PC Suite 7.1.40.6, under Windows XP Pro SP3. I have a 6600 fold phone, with the latest firmware (5.60). I connect via USB cable. PC Suite works perfectly apart for one thing. I cannot get the Sync function to work at all. If I run it, the program starts, and shows the phone as being properly detected and connected. However, if I press the Sync button or the Settings button, absolutely nothing happens! No error messages, just nothing. The only thing I have which I can sync with is Outlook Express, but surely even if I had no compatible programs installed I should still get something when I press the Settings button at least? I've tried repairing/reinstalling PC Suite and no difference. As i said, all other functions work fine.

Apr 14, 2010Following some changes to my Outlook configuration, which included changing the mail profile in use, I am now unable to sync Outlook Notes to my Nokia phone.After running a sync operation, the Ovi GUI shows the sync sucessfully completing but the updates to the notes are not made. Checking the sync application log (PC Suite profile) on the phone (UK Voda E71) via Bluetooth, it does not show any attempt to sync with the phone; The log is not even updated.My hunch is that I need to correct the Outlook folder location that Ovi finds the notes in. Can anybody advise how I might do that?

everything was working fine until I updated the Ovi Suite to v 2.1.1.245 then phone wouldnt sync anymore. I restore the computer back to the date before the Ovi suite was updated taking it back to v 2.1.1.1. now the phone still wil not sync. any ideas ? (Im syncing with the usb cable). I often get a messege telling me to set my phone to "set my phones usb mode to ovi suite or PC Suite" which I do of course but no success just fails to sync evrytime now. wish I had nevver tryed to update the ovi software now.
