Jul 30, 2012I cant refresh music library in my 5233, refreshing just don't stop in music player and so no new tracks are added to it however all previous songs of music player are available in music player, new added tracks play well in file manager but they don't appear in music player as refreshing music player dont stop But when I refresh music player by removing MMC then it quickly refresh music library I don't want to do hard reset on my phone however I have done soft reset.

Music player is unable to load music files which are stored in memory card. I even updated the phone software but unable to solve this problem, but other files such as videos and images. I am able to see in gallery. Only problem is with the music files.....

Mar 9, 2012When i removed my usb cable, the phone said device error then when i went to playlist all the music were gone. If i try to refresh nothing happens, i have removed the data from the card, and put it back still nothing. When i connect with usb cable i can see and even play the music on my laptop. There is still nothing under my playlist the music is still playing under tones but its not showing in my music files and not refreshing.

Songs are present and correct but the folder will not update (i.e. I deleted a song but the number on the folder does not show this change or I removed a specific genre but that genre folder remains)- I have seen this issue with a number of Nokia music player phones and was wondering if anything was ever resolved, There was a workaround for the 5800 (show hidden folders and delete a load of .dat files) but this does not work for my C7 with Belle?

If I go in the Music Library, in the Options menu I have:Go to Now playing Go to Music store Music Library Details I've just synched my phone with iTunes by using Nokia Multimedia Transfer, and the files have been copied on my memory card under Sound filesiTunes Music and they play correctly from the file manager, but there's not way to "see" them in the Music Library. Apr 25, 2011some song in my track list are repeted when i see ( ALL TRACKS ) i found 180 songs .. but when i play the list it show up to me 208 songs some song's are repeted!

In almost every album, it shows every song twice.
Tried refreshing the library more than once now, but no luck.
If I add a new album, it only shows those tracks once.
So this must have happened some time ago, but I can't seem te get rid of it.
Nokia :: N97 - Bug In The Refresh Music Library
Feb 3, 2010I wanted to add just one new song onto my N97, it was a song that I heard on the radio and liked so I purchased it on iTunes added it to a playlist and transferred it to my N97 using NMT. This all went fine until I tried refreshing the music library, no matter what I did the refresh would not find the additional song. I checked the transfer using YBrowser and sure enough the song had been transferred and the playlist had the new song added (I could even play it in the file browser) but this would not update in the music player.
To resolve this I had to delete all 4.7GB of music off my N97 (including the playlists) using NMT then disconnect the phone and refresh the library, the music library then displayed 0 songs. Then using NMT I had to reload all of the music and refresh the library, this time it worked. As you can imagine deleting and reloading 4.7GB (thankfully I don't have more music on my phone) of data takes quite a bit of time, all to add just one new 8MB song. Outrageous!
Has anyone else experienced this?

Aug 29, 2012I am having this annoying problem after the belle refresh update. Earlier the music player used to show track progress bar perfectly. Now after the update it does not show progress bar most of the time while playing a song.
On further observation, I noticed that the progress bar shows up correctly everytime for the songs which does not have a album art embedded in it. But if I play a song with a album art, most of the time the progress bar does not appear at all. Try playing few different songs with album art attached.
Also earlier tapping on the album art/icon used to display the volume up-down slider. Now that feature is gone. Since I use a hard cover, it's difficult for me to use the hardware volume buttons every time. Why did you remove a useful feature nokia?

Jan 18, 2010I have recently purchased Nokia N97 and have some problems using media library, exactly.I uploaded some music files to my mobile phone using Ovi Suit and Nokia Music center. But, when i tried to refresh Media Library it said: "0 files were added". although,when i enter Library and choose for instance "Artist" i can see sub folders there, but when i enter there is no music files or albums in it.
Case is that if i try to play some particular song from File Manager, it plays it and i have no problems, but i can not see thous files in Media Library.I have tried to delete files from Nokia Music Center and yes, it deletes them, but i can still see artist and album names in Media Library and can not delete them.Please help me if there is any known solution for it, or any possible way how to get rid of this problem or how to clean my Media Library and delete the files it is not showing.
