Nokia Lumia :: Seek A Music Track By Dragging/tapping The Track Progress Bar?
Dec 29, 2012
Is it possible to seek a music track by dragging/tapping the track progress bar. Or am I stuff with having ot hold the fast forward/rewind button like some kind of 1980's walkman. This lumia 820 gets worse and worse with every passing minute.
I am having this annoying problem after the belle refresh update. Earlier the music player used to show track progress bar perfectly. Now after the update it does not show progress bar most of the time while playing a song.
On further observation, I noticed that the progress bar shows up correctly everytime for the songs which does not have a album art embedded in it. But if I play a song with a album art, most of the time the progress bar does not appear at all. Try playing few different songs with album art attached.
Also earlier tapping on the album art/icon used to display the volume up-down slider. Now that feature is gone. Since I use a hard cover, it's difficult for me to use the hardware volume buttons every time. Why did you remove a useful feature nokia?
I get a clicking sound when a track changes while playing music? Does anyone else have it. Also, when the battery is running low, I get a weird noise (via the earphones). Sort of like the sound you hear when you are near to a speaker and are receiving a call.
Can somebody please tell me how I can use a music track which is in my N900, as a ringtone. There doesn't seem to be any way of moving tracks into ringtones, or is it just me?

Iv had my torch for a while now and when I'm listening to music it stops after every track. If I wake the screen it will continue to play the next track otherwise nothing. Tried selecting repeat and there is a tick next to it in the menu and still nothing.music it stops after every track
I am trying to get a definitive answer as have been researching this for weeks and despite my best efforts still have no solution.I am using the fantastic N900 (well done Nokia!) and would like all my music on the device. All efforts so far have transferred music ok but album tracks always appears in alphabetical order in the music player as opposed to the album track order(not much good). This is despite careful tagging and trying with Windows Media Player, Media Monkey & Songbird to see if any work best.
I found out today that this might be due to the file being a .wma file. All my music is ripped to my PC in .wma as in my experience I find the quality vs file size is great and better by far than .mp3.Today I ripped a CD with WMP as .mp3 and after sync the track order was correct (although I do not want to use WMP through choice and certainly not .mp3, let alone re rip my entire CD Collection), my preference would be Media Monkey or Songbird with .wma.
Is this a bug or N900 problem? (I know they are different but it worked fine on N97 and N95 8gb previously with MM and .wma) Can anyone help? or even offer a recommendation or suggestion as to what they think is best format, application or way to have music on the N900 etc.
When I select a music album, the tracks are listed in alphabetical order. Is there a way to play them in album track order, without having to rearrange them in a playlist?
I have one song that is listed for 9 miles, and I have only run 15 miles with the device so far, but for some reason, one song is showing as being played for almost 9 miles, and I don't think that i have even listened to it for a run.
Recently i had upgraded my xperia neo v to ICS. Now there is no option to disable repeat track option in default music player. now i am uing third party music player.
Been looking again at upgrading my 8520. I use it a lot for pictures, BBM, and using Vlingo a bit too now. But also for music, specially when in bed. I don't see any track change buttons on the device. If you are listening to music, specially at night, how do you quickly change track? I can do it without even looking at the phone on mine. How do you do it on the 9900?
Whenever i transfer a music track from another phone to my Xperia min 10, a photo is getting attached to it as an album cover art.I have deleted the photo from album. But still that is happening.
Is there a good app to track Belle FP2 phones using GPS? I have Googled around and I can't find anything good and by good I am referring to an app that I can use to track my phone on a website (even when it's turned off, if possible) and it should also prevent uninstalling in case the phone is lost or stolen.
I am trying to install Track&Protecy to my N9. It seams to work and when its finished a message says I have to wait for an SMS to appear after about 3-5 minutes, which confirms the registration. This never occurs!
I do mountain bike and I have frequent signal problems so the google maps is useless from being unable to connect to the Internet. But the nokia maps works very well and has a large cache map satellite view but can not find how to display the track on the map.I tried to convert my kml track files to gpx,lmx with GPSBabel program but when open these files I get a error, only the waypoints works.
I've recently got my hands on a Nokia 6600 Slide, and I'm quite happy with it. I would also like to use it as my personal music player, but I have one issue. When I listen to music, I mostly listen to the whole albums, and in the case of most albums I listen to, the track order matters a lot. However, when I copy an album from my hard disk to the memory card of my phone, I cannot get the album to play in the correct track order.
For instance, I click "Play" on an album I select in the Music Player application. Then, rather than playing tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and so on, it plays track 4, 3, 6, 2, 7, 1, and so on - this track order is always the same (for one album at least), and it seems I cannot correct it. The "shuffle" function is turned off, mind you. The files are usually named "number. title.mp4", or "artist - number - title.mp4", and they all have track tags.
I have a nokia 6303 and i would like my mediaplayer play the tracks of 1 album by track number. Is there any way I can do this? Since I don't like it that it chooses a random-like order to play (and show) them.
I've got a brilliant N900 and an N9, I use the N900 for music and the N9 for calls. I bought the BH-221 to use both at the same time, I read it could be connected at two devices at the same time [URL]I can't get it to work... When I press the call button for a second it turns off... Also, on neither the N9 nor the N900 track info shows up.
I've just had a CK-600 car kit installed and I was hoping to see music tracks / playlist information on the display. I've tried both a Nokia E51 and a Blackberry 9800 and both allow tracks to be skipped etc. but don't show any information about the track being played on the screen. I've taken the following infomation from a (non- Nokia) website for a UK car kit installer which says about the CK-600 -
MusicThe music menu gives you full control of the music on your phone or MP3 player and from here you can browse your entire music collection by artist, album, playlist or song. As with contacts and messages, it's all controlled using the Navi-Wheel on the remote, so even if you phone is in the boot of the car, you can still play all of your music or change playlist without having to touch your phone.
Just brought a new Nokia X6 for my wife and I have an odd problem.I can start the music player from the home screen and skip forward and backwards a track with no problems. But I can't adjust the volume. If I start playing music from the home screen and it's too loud or quiet, I have to open the music player itself before I can change the volume. This seems very odd to me, and I have googled it and looked all the way through the forums here for the X6 and no one else has mentioned it. Does that mean it's only me having this trouble? Or does everyone else not use the music player from the home screen?
Also, I noticed that I cant fast forward and rewind a track from the home screen. If I hold my finger on the Foward button for an extended period of time, the track continues playing as normal and then ether skips to the next one when I take my finger off, or all the player buttons disapear from the home screen when I take my finger off.Again, if I do this in the music player itself, the track will fast forward or rewind after a second or two holding the 'button' down. Anyone else tried this?
Lost blackberry curve 8520 which doesn't have GPS so can't track it, is there any way to track it through bbm ro something similar? They just messaged me saying they found the phone but then deleted me off of BBM and haven't re-added
I lost my phone on 1st January,2012,in Bhutan, where there is no internet facility on the phone, hence i want to know is there any means of tracking down my phone?
