I am trying to install Track&Protecy to my N9. It seams to work and when its finished a message says I have to wait for an SMS to appear after about 3-5 minutes, which confirms the registration. This never occurs!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having this annoying problem after the belle refresh update. Earlier the music player used to show track progress bar perfectly. Now after the update it does not show progress bar most of the time while playing a song.
On further observation, I noticed that the progress bar shows up correctly everytime for the songs which does not have a album art embedded in it. But if I play a song with a album art, most of the time the progress bar does not appear at all. Try playing few different songs with album art attached.
Also earlier tapping on the album art/icon used to display the volume up-down slider. Now that feature is gone. Since I use a hard cover, it's difficult for me to use the hardware volume buttons every time. Why did you remove a useful feature nokia?
I had Blackberry Protect for some reason I decided to uninstall. How can I re-install. When I go to"app world" it says it has been uninstalled. It is not listed in my downloads either.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I bought a used N8 which has been working as expected until I noticed that it wouldn't install a single app. When I got the phone the previous user had reset the phone to factory settings and in general tried to turn it back to it's original condition. At first all apps installed without problems. The only app I experienced problems with was Nokia Store, which always got stuck on the loading screen and never opened. Now my N8 hasn't been able to install any apps what so ever, especially no .sis or .sisx files. The installation of .sis or .sisx files results in a error message Unable to install (or something similar in english). The newest software of Symbian Anna is installed on the phone. The only app I've been able to install is one with a .wgz ending.I've tried to reset the phone to factory settings again, reset the device with *#7370# code and held the power button for 8 seconds, and my problem persists.

I now have two sets of "midnight" themes on this phone, one set that looks like it did before, and one set that has a symbol at the right of the theme name that sort of looks like a coffee cup. For the themes with the "coffee cup" symbol to the right of the theme name, all the theme icons have been modified to something a bit fancier than the original. What does the "coffee cup" symbol mean? My newest N8 was recently updated to Anna. It only has the old-style themes named "midnight color-name". The icons for the themes still look like they did before the Anna update. How can I get this fancier theme icons on my other N8? If it's simply a matter of downloading the new, full and complete Nokia "midnight" themes for the N8 phone with Anna, where do I go to get them? I've searched all over, and found lots of "midnight" themes, but not the ones I'm looking for (which apparently were installed on one of my phones as part of the Anna Update.

Checking c: with x-plore filemanager I have found many files coming from a quickoffice install attempt that didn't finish because there wasn't enough space in c: when I tried to install.Now I cannot remove those files from x-plore (permission denied) and I cannot uninstall the quickoffice application because it never installed properly.Is there a way to remove those files? Everything appears normal except it does not ask me where I want to install the app. Instead it just stops the whole process and does nothing. I have plenty of memory. I did a Soft reset I believe going to settings>phone>phone management > factory settings... I used the code 12345. That did not solve the problem. I tried doing a hard reset using #7370# but the phone kept responding with "request not complete".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a lot of trouble getting any Nokia software to work on my PC.(This was the same for my previous Nokia 2730.)The first time I connected my N8-00 to my PC, running Windows Vista 32, my PC worked out it was an N8-00 and a window appeared asking me to confirm AutoPlay settings - there was a checkbox (which I checked), but no OK button.
I could go to Start > Computer and see the N8-00 there though.I opened the device and found the Ovi Suite Installer and tried to run that (because the downloaded version didn't work either - I'll start another thread about my troubles with Ovi Suite) but it didn't work.I then removed the phone from my PC.Now whenever I connect my phone to my PC Windows tries to install the N8-00 drivers and fails, giving me these messages:
