Jan 17, 2010Ovi Suite will not allow me to select a Network Drive as the source folder for music is this just a problem for me, or is this a fetaure of OviSuite?

Apr 8, 2012For some reason my C drive is getting more full. All installs are on the mass memory, emails and messages have been cleared out (gives back a couple of Meg) i'm down to 52Meg at the moment. I reformatted once (back to about 120Meg) and since then it's shrunk and continiues to get smaller!

But I do not want or need to install this update. How do I hide the notification and delete the update from my phone. You used to be able to ignore updates, now I can't seem to find out how. May 13, 2012Does anyone have a fix for the C drive filling up on N8 Belle?The suggestions in the FAQ and on various forums to delete emails, clear caches, delete photos etc are only temporary. Some people have said that re-installing Belle fixes the problem but it sounds like this too is only temporary.I am seeing MBs of space being eaten up by something, through normal use even when I perform these cleaning tasks regularly and don't install anything new. Anyway the amount of space taken up by a few emails is miniscule by at least an order of magnitude compared to the amount of space that's disappearing (kBs compared to MBs). It looks like something more fundamental is at play a resource leak somewhere, perhaps a process that's creating temporary files but not clearing them up afterwards.

Aug 23, 2011My C: memory is showing as full when I try to clear it through the phone file manager despite looking through all folders I cannot identify any large files on it and the same is the case when I try to look through my pc software.
When I hold on the C: memory and look at the memory details it shows 131mb of messages even though I have deleted all txt messages and emails, 46mb of SIS applications I can't see these in the file manager and 72mb of other files which I assume are the OS files.

Oct 3, 2012Since updating to Belle FP2 yesterday on my 808 Pureview, Maps and all map related apps won't open, they simply close straight away. Tried resetting the settingso n the phone and updating the maps on the Nokia Store. Now I'm stuck. Nokia drive was my second reason for buying the phone after the camera, so I'm a bit distraught lol. I've been making fun of my iOS6 friends the last couple of weeks about their maps and now I feel a bit foolish.

Feb 13, 2012Started to prepare for installation of the new Belle for my N8-00 but during step 2 of the installation (back up) a red expression mark appears telling me that "there is not enough space on the computer. Minimum requirement is 1,5GB on the e: drive. Please delete or move 0 MB from \e-enheten" (direct translation from Swedish version of Nokia suite, please see attached pic). I successfully made a back up using the common steps earlier today.The issue is that I don't even have an e-drive on my computer. C: is there (of course) then a whole bunch of network drives from my office network (F: ->X but no e: The only e-drive I have is the one on the phone and there I have enough space available.I have the latest version of Nokia suite btw (3.3.86).

Dec 9, 2010My N8 "phone memory C drive" is FULL. Applications are freezing, crashing, the phone is self restarting.
I see memory phone of 256 MB full with USB connected to PC. When I look inside the folders, nothing in some, no large file in others.
1. Why the phone memory is full? I did not install apps on the C drive aka phone memory, I did not put photos, videos or anything there, I don't use email.
2. Why I cannot find the files that occupy the memory? No large file can be seen.
3. Is this the cause of phone auto restarting and the cause some applications are crashing, closing in front of my eyes or in the background?
Why when I receive a simple call and I have only a game open after the call ends the game is already crashed / closed?

If I'm on a wi-fi network and I have an external hard drive hooked up to my Airport Extreme, can I mount that drive through the iPhone?I've looked at airsharing, dropbox, mobileme, sugarsync, and none fit my needs. I just wanted to be able to view files stored on an external hard drive through my iPhone, not store them on the iPhone, not edit them, just drill through a file system.It wouldn't surprise me if there is no option available. But it would be a shame since it seems pretty simple and could have a lot of benefits. I understand the reasoning behind why Apple prevents access to the iPhone file system, buy why prevent access to other hard drives on the network?

Jun 20, 2011i am a bit surprised that i cannot find software that does this.at home i have a network with a NAS, it also runs a mediaserver.i use this to have all my music and pictures available for all computers in my house.the N97 mini i bought about a year back was then promoted to have upnp av and network protocols. i suspected by now there would be players available that could either browse your home network or play back from the mediaserver.i have tried: SYmplayer, that shows me all computers with shared folders and i can play music from those, but not my NAS.(Fritzbox 7340 with NAS and mediaserver enabled)The nas is visible from vista and win7, but on xp you can only map it if you know the ip adress.
Symbian also only sees the windows computers in the networkSince there is no way to type in the path to my nas from symplayer it does work.i have also tried core player(core codex), but had no luck since the certificate was outdated and files to sign it yourself were not present.same was for 10live media...some asian player, but i accept if that is the only opneoggplayer/winamp seems also been discontinued or not workingi could not find anything else.strange that there is no interest in those tools, but if somebody else has bright ideas i would really like to know.it seems that nobody want to make their n97mini a mediaserver or something that can grab files from their network shares.

Jul 30, 2012From time to time my N8(Belle) will not connect to my WiFi. When I look at the wifi-list my network is listed as "known", but not connected to. When I press on it the only options are Details and Delete the AP. I can't force the phone to connect to a specific AP, which would be nice.If I turn the phone off and on again, it finds the Wifi and connects to it just fine. But it really shouldn't be necessary to reboot it in the first place.

Apr 27, 2012I have a Nokia 700. Upgraded to 112.010.1404 via Nokia Suite as soon as I got it. I have set my WiFi network as the highest priority. I can connect to my WiFi network, yet after a while of inactivity the phone starts using 3G data again. I go into the WiFi networks and see that my network is listed as "Known" but not "Connected". I have to manually select it to re-connect.Power saving mode for WiFi is set to off.Is there a setting to automatically connect to any known WiFi network when in range? I am happy to manage battery life by manually turning ove WiFi when not needed.
