For some reason my C drive is getting more full. All installs are on the mass memory, emails and messages have been cleared out (gives back a couple of Meg) i'm down to 52Meg at the moment. I reformatted once (back to about 120Meg) and since then it's shrunk and continiues to get smaller!

The C: drive on my N97 contains quite some debris. And I want to clean it up. So I did a hard reset: LeftShift+Space+BkSpace+On . Yet this seems to leave the C drive untouched. For instance, MfE log files are still there and I did not install MfE yet. How do I format the C: drive?

But I do not want or need to install this update. How do I hide the notification and delete the update from my phone. You used to be able to ignore updates, now I can't seem to find out how. Is this another enhancement from Nokia Belle?
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have a fix for the C drive filling up on N8 Belle?The suggestions in the FAQ and on various forums to delete emails, clear caches, delete photos etc are only temporary. Some people have said that re-installing Belle fixes the problem but it sounds like this too is only temporary.I am seeing MBs of space being eaten up by something, through normal use even when I perform these cleaning tasks regularly and don't install anything new. Anyway the amount of space taken up by a few emails is miniscule by at least an order of magnitude compared to the amount of space that's disappearing (kBs compared to MBs). It looks like something more fundamental is at play a resource leak somewhere, perhaps a process that's creating temporary files but not clearing them up afterwards.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy C: memory is showing as full when I try to clear it through the phone file manager despite looking through all folders I cannot identify any large files on it and the same is the case when I try to look through my pc software.
When I hold on the C: memory and look at the memory details it shows 131mb of messages even though I have deleted all txt messages and emails, 46mb of SIS applications I can't see these in the file manager and 72mb of other files which I assume are the OS files.
I have n8 with Anna . When I record video it records it on E drive . How can I assign my Micro SD ( the F drive) for video recording

Tried resetting the settingso n the phone and updating the maps on the Nokia Store. Now I'm stuck. Nokia drive was my second reason for buying the phone after the camera, so I'm a bit distraught lol. I've been making fun of my iOS6 friends the last couple of weeks about their maps and now I feel a bit foolish.

View 4 Replies View RelatedStarted to prepare for installation of the new Belle for my N8-00 but during step 2 of the installation (back up) a red expression mark appears telling me that "there is not enough space on the computer. Minimum requirement is 1,5GB on the e: drive. Please delete or move 0 MB from \e-enheten" (direct translation from Swedish version of Nokia suite, please see attached pic). I successfully made a back up using the common steps earlier today.The issue is that I don't even have an e-drive on my computer. C: is there (of course) then a whole bunch of network drives from my office network (F: ->X but no e: The only e-drive I have is the one on the phone and there I have enough space available.I have the latest version of Nokia suite btw (3.3.86).

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy N8 "phone memory C drive" is FULL. Applications are freezing, crashing, the phone is self restarting.
I see memory phone of 256 MB full with USB connected to PC. When I look inside the folders, nothing in some, no large file in others.
1. Why the phone memory is full? I did not install apps on the C drive aka phone memory, I did not put photos, videos or anything there, I don't use email.
2. Why I cannot find the files that occupy the memory? No large file can be seen.
3. Is this the cause of phone auto restarting and the cause some applications are crashing, closing in front of my eyes or in the background?
Why when I receive a simple call and I have only a game open after the call ends the game is already crashed / closed?
i have several calendar items on the home screen and the text, to me, is too large. is there a setting to change the font size on the home screen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe size of photos taken by my Lumia 950 is about only 4 to 5 MB although I set it to JPEG(16 MP) . Another confusing point is that their dimensions are about 3000*5400 which roughly gives 15 MP not 20 MP!!
Apart from the size and dimensions, the quality of photos also do not sound superb in general, there are just fairly good, so I guess that something might be wrong.
Question #1: "OK, Google" is pretty cool, but I don't want to give up a full icon line to have it. Is there a smaller version of the widget that will only take up one icon space?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am getting issues while using Nokia Drive + Beta, my position isn't moving when driving or taking 5 - 10 seconds to update then just freezes again.
it seems that i set destination, it finds me and my destination fine, i click start, it gives the first direction fine, i start driving and nothing, "my position" on the display doesn't move, the only way i can update it is "stop navigation" then "set destination" again where it picks up my new location.
i've ensured location services are on, location within the app is turned on, i've checked my connection is "online"...are there any other settings i should be aware of?

i am using it in a windscreen mount that grips the top and bottom of the phone with little "arms", i've tried in both landscape and portrait orientation. bluetooth is on and hoping to be playing music at the same time eventually.

I have been having problems with my N97 for the past 4 months but has got really bad the past few days. I've had the phone for 9 months and works reasonably well most of the time.I have been running out of space on the C drive now only 500kb. No matter what I do (clearing web cache, deleting apps, trying to remove anything I can see) it rapidily loses the space again. Mb's go in hrs and even after clearing web cache. Last night I upgraded the software version to v20.0.019 and also ran the tool (forgotten the name) that attempts to move things from C drive to other drives. My emails do not take much space, I can't move them to E drive as using UK Three's email client for work email and it says it has to use the C drive but don't hink that is the issue. As soon as I clear some space it goes again.
Also after installing this new version I can no longer use my Hotmail email account or any other email client on the phone even after deleting. Also the wireless Nokia keyboard I had has stopped working now with the new version.
It's about to become useless for email or anything very soon. I have a warranty and cover for it, just wondering if it sounds like I need to use that now as is about to become an expensive brick I think.
For those that have modified OS 5 what have you removed to make the os 5 core smaller and thus free up application memory?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe camera on the Droid X is pretty good..high res...maybe not as good as the SAMSUNG I just gave up to by the Droid but good. With my SAMSUNG and the phone I had before, if I sent a picture to an e-mail address it was just one button click to resize it for e-mail (would take the 3MP and resize to 100-180K which is much easier to download and views just fine on phone or laptop...with the Droid X it does not automatically give you the sizing option and if you go to the edit function it only lets you go down to 1MP...that is almost 10 times the size it should be for sending e-mail...really making people mad that I send pics too...is there a way to resize for e-mail (100-180K)
