is there any chance to store apps installs on the memory card, so i can store them and install when i want, after reset, reinstall, instead of downloading them everytime from store?
View 4 Repliesi own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?
View 1 Replies View Relatedfor something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...

All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. I have the latest firmware on the phone. I can access the card through nokia PC Suite but that's a pain and I never had this problem before with my old E72.I'm running XP - if I go to my computer and double click 'Removable Disc (E' I just get the 'please insert disc into drive E' message.

Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

When I try to move pics, video clips from images, video clips to memory card it now always says operation failed! I have loads of memory left on card, no password set. Anyone know what this is, if I can delete it, & what would happen if I did? Is there any way to shrink this down some?
My address book takes up quite a bit of memory; so does my calendar -- both of which were synced from Outlook. Is there any way to have the addresses/calendar data stored onto my microSD instead of the device memory?
Lastly, I noticed that when I call people using my Curve, it shows up on their caller ID as "private name, private number." Where can I change this setting? Is it in my provider's settings (which I can access online) or on the BlackBerry's settings somewhere? Also, is it possible to at least NOT have it show private when calling those on my address book, such as friends & relatives?
Most of my apps now crash and the installs and updates of new apps now hang forever.

The phone states that the card is corrupted.To test the card I have tried it both in a pc and a Samsung phone and have both recognised and utilised the card correctly. I also tried an old 512mb micro sd from the Samsung in the Nokia and again the Nokia said that this was also corrupted but this works perfectly in the Samsung I have downloaded all latest updates etc The card is a brand new Lexar 32gb micro sdhc class 10 I am unable to format the card in the N700 as I cannot get past the corrupted card message?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere is no way to install nokia apps (maps, messaging, point and find, etc) in the mass memory of the n97 ? There is simply no space in n97's c: to install all of nokia apps and e: has a lot of gb !!! I understand that the apps will operate slower if installed on e, but really there is no alternative! And if there isn't, is there at least an option for nokia messaging to store its data on the mass memory? It is one of the best nokia apps/services, but using it with 5-6 mailboxes means that I will not have free space on c and memory errors start to appear. Any option to install your apps in E:?
View 8 Replies View RelatedIt happens all the time even if nokia map is the only app running I think the reason is my phone memory is almost full there is less than 1 mb left and I cant find any thing to delete via phone manager in the phone memory either empty folders or folders which have only hundreds of bytes, when I check the phone memory it says 85 mb used 36 mb sis apps and 48 mb other files and I cant find any of them. Btw I am afraid to delete some of these files cause they may be system apps

View 6 Replies View RelatedLike always, on previous Symbian phones I have locked my memory cards with passwords and if you were to insert that locked card into another Symbian phone, it would immediately ask you to enter the password. I did so with my old phone (Nokia C7) and now after inserting that locked card in the 808, nothing comes up.. it doesn't ask for a password input. I am now stuck with a 16 gigs locked micro SD card to which I know the password but I can't unlock it! I know for sure that password protected cards will not show up on computers and it doesn't show up on my gf's Android either. I have been to a Nokia care shop and they have tried with other Nokia phones but nothing worked. They suggested using the phone it was locked with but that's not a possibility because it was broken into pieces and sent to Finland
What else can I try to be able to unlock/input my password into this SD card?
after i had upgrade my N8 from anna to belle i discover that the memory card is locked maybe i would have to read first about all before i upgrade but any way i didnt,so i try to find a way to unlock my memory card with out formatting, coz i got important media on itso can i find a way to do that ?

I backed up every contact and messages on to my Memory card and after the reset Memory card asks for a password...Guys please help and plz do't give sugessions to format memory card as i have all the USEFUL data on it..By the way i only connect mobile to PC via USB cable i don't have a seperate CARD reader.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk everything was working fine till I inserted the memory card back into my phone after copying a video file.I hear a tone that it has detected the memory card but don't see any notification that it is installing memory card apps as it used to show. All my apps are gone but when I check the apps manager, it lists all the previously installed apps are installed. :s No apps icons visible in the apps folder but memory card detected and can be accessed via file manager.I have already removed and reinserted the card several times and turned the phone on/off.What to do ? Are there any files that can be copied so that the phone autodetects the installed apps?
