View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the past few days, the following things have happened.....
-Email notifications no longer show up on my lock screen or the email tile. They used to, now they don't. All the setting are unchanged.
-I get notifications that my phone is running out of storage space. I'm using 6GB out of 32, AND I have a 32GB card installed.
-Battery drains like someone shot a hole in it. Even plugged in to the USB port on my computer, it's slowly dying. This, of course, makes the back hot to the touch.
-I can't attach pictures to text messages anymore.
I'm not enrolled in any preview program, I didn't install anything strange, I didn't receive any notification updates, just business as usual until things went bad.
If your answer is going to be "hard reset" or something
I have certain apps "i.e. quick change keyboards", I like to have the notifications for it shown on my notification screen, but I do not want to see it on my lock screen. Other apps I DO want to see on the lock screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't get notifications showing on lock screen after updating software. I've already been into Notifications > App notifcations and ticked priority boxes but still doesn't work. Also tried the 'Lock Screen' section as well, but it only has option for hiding 'Incoming calls'.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since the new update I can't see notifications in my lock screen. Where it once showed the app's symbol/icon in the top corner (nice and small and JUST the symbol) so I knew I had a message or something, there's nothing. I can only see them if I allow my notifications to show largely in the middle of the screen. Unlike the symbol, this is smack dab in the middle and not only shows who the message is from but what it says. I'd rather not let anyone see my personal messages. Just a suggestion: make it possible to see our notification symbol in the top corner of the lock screen like before instead of the big notification in the middle, where everyone can see...

If I say OK Google I get the beep I ask a question ex, "What is the current temperature" it beeps again but will not answer until I unlock the screen. I has worked great previously but for some reason it no longer will give me an answer until I unlock the screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if the GS5 has lock screen notifications on Lollipop with the fingerprint security option on? I am unable to do so now on KitKat, and am not sure if I am able to on KitKat with or without the fingerprint reader. I'd like to keep my phone locked to keep people from accessing it, but would like to be able to glance / see any emails or texts I receive without having to unlock and pulling down the notification bar every time.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAny way to disable Gmail notifications on the lock screen? I don't really need to see Gmail notification there, I don't need to see more immediate communications, like texts.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust updated to lollipop and I really don't like the lock screen when I get an email the big bar that shows up...I saw where I can turn it into secure content, but still, I hate that...my girl always sees the bar that I am getting emails and what not, regardless of if she can see the messages..
The very top notifications are fine, just don't need it plastered on the lock screen, how to turn off that while still having the little icon notifications on top?
I no longer see a "card" for my text notifications on my lock screen after the lollipop upgrade on my Galaxy S5.
I get the status "notification bar" (see attached screenshot), but I want the "card" (like the "New voice mail" card in the screenshot) to appear on my lock screen - I don't want to have to tap the "notification bar" for the rest of my notifications. Hopefully I'm just missing a setting, and this is not the expected behavior....
Here's what I've tried (and what my settings are):
1) Lock Screen/Screen Lock is set to swipe.
2) Sounds and Notification/While Locked is set to "Show All Content".
3) Applications/Messages/Notifications/Preview Message is checked.
4) Applications/ApplicationManager/Messages -> Show notifications is checked.
5) I have cleared the cache for Messages Application.
6) I have done a cache partition wipe.
My N8 no longer gets the OVI store apps update notifications in 'my stuff list of apps' I'm running symbian anna with ovi store version 2.12.42?
View 2 Replies View RelatedBefore you ask, I have gone to settings, lockscreen, additional information and it is set to "off" along with the weather being off. I was able to get it off once but when I did a restart, it showed back up and will not go away. It makes my clock on the locks creek small even though I have it selected to be large and I can't stand it overall. The only thing I want on my locks creek is the time. Also, I hate that it now says "verizon wireless" where the notifications were on the lockscreen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night I did the lollipop update for my Samsung s5 using Samsung Kies and all went fine until it booted up. The phone just kept rebooting itself after being on the lock screen for a few seconds. I booted it into recovery mode and factory resetting and wiping the cache but after the setup screens it just keeps restarting again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is possible, but I'd like to allow notifications to only appear in the notification bar of the lock screen and not show in the middle of the lock screen. Also, I'd like to enable the phone to vibrate when I have a text, but not for other notifications.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from iPhone and one thing that is bothering me about my android phone is the lock screen real estate. I have this big screen and 90% of the screen is taken by the clock and unlock feature. Notifications get a small band and stack on each other.
Problem being while I'm away if I get 3 text messages, a phone call, and some other alert all I see is a stack of notifications but I can't read them.
On the iphone if you turn the screen on you actually read what happened and decide right away if you care enough to unlock your phone and respond. With this new phone I always have to unlock to see what the notifications actually are about and if I care or not.
I have just moved from an iPhone 5 to an Xperia Z3. Is there any way that I can have ios style lock screen notifications on my Z3? For example; text messages, missed calls, emails etc. I just downloaded an Xperia theme from the play store which showed lock screen notifications on the picture, however after installing it turns out to be just a wallpaper. Not quite what i was looking for.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated to the lasted software and it seems my phone no longer displays messages receives on the lock screen anymore.
I checked the Messages > Settings > Notifications > Notification Preview (ticked)
And that Settings > Security > Notification Settings > Phone and Text message (both ticked)
I'm still getting a blank lock screen that doesn't show any message content or missed phone call information.
Have restarted the phone, ticked, unticked etc and it still doesn't work.
This only happened after I ran this latest update
How to get rid of the system notifications (see pic). The ONLY notification I want to see on the lock screen is my SMS's. I have managed to get rid of all of the other notifications (By holding down on the notification, clicking the "i" and changing the setting to "no" to receiving notifications.) However, there is no option to get rid of these sorts of notifications at all from what I can find. They all seem to be system notifications. For example, low battery, whenever I take a screen shot etc.
I am trying to get rid of these notifications permanently. I know how to temporarily remove them (by swiping it off the screen) but I don't want them ever showing up on my lock screen at all.
My HTC One has recently updated to Android 4.3 + sense 5.5 and I find I can no longer use different wallpapers for my lock screen and home screen as I could previously. The facility apparently no longer exists. Yes, I know I can use a third party app like widget locker but why should I when the facility already existed. What is it these days that developers remove useful functions just because they see fit. Is this really progress? I lost my phone some weeks ago and because I had put my contact details on the lock screen + I.C.E details with a self-made wallpaper, my phone was returned to me within 3 hours of the loss.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from the HTC DNA to the M8, one thing I don't like and can't figure out if there is a workaround, on the DNA the lock screen would display all of my notifications (text, email, calendar) right on the lock screen so I could screen on and immediately see.
On the M8, with them turned on, it displays one line with all notifications hidden, and you need to swipe down to be able to see all of the notifications... which to me doesn't seem to make it any more useful than the notification bar that's already there.
Is there a way to make this notification area on the lock screen permanently expanded? The space below seems completely unused so I don't understand why you need to swipe down to expand in the first place.
I've just updated my phone - full of anticipation - to ICS.But unfortunately there are two really major problems with the upgrade. The lock screen notifications are gone!!! This was the SO convenient in GB ...The led notification doesn't work when the screen is off (for sms).

I have a couple of questions about this.
1) With Ambient display enabled, the screen pops on when a notification comes through, or when I pick up the device. If Ambient display is disabled, the screen doesn't wake for either circumstance.
- The way I would like to have it, is where the screen only comes on when a notification comes through, and not when I move the phone. For me, it's a bit annoying most times. Is there a setting or another way to achieve this?
2) When Ambient display is enabled and I get the sound or vibration for a notification, it takes a few seconds (3-5) for the screen to come on.
- Is this normal? I'd prefer it to come on right after the notification sound/vibration.
I'm currently on build MDA89D, and have fingerprint/pin set for lock screen security.
Shortly after I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1, the camera shortcut on my home screen stopped working. The camera icon appears even if I single click the home button, but whether I single click or double click the home button, touching the camera icon simply makes the screen bounce in rejection.
I have removed the passcode on my phone only to get the same effect.

After upgrading to Lollipop, notifications does not show on the lock screen at all. I use pin-code as security, notifications is set to "Show all notification content".
View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my 950 xl yesterday and have been having fun setting it up. Fairly new to Windows phone, so a few settings I'm still looking for. Have spent a few weeks reading this forum in prep, so am fairly up to speed with most things/issues to expect - for example my update to .29 got stuck yesterday, with low on space messages popping up, but i found a thread on here which said to plug my phone in and leave it and it eventually installed fine :)
My Glance was set to 15mins, but was always on, so now i set it to 30 seconds and it seems to like this setting. I'm missing Quiet Hrs setting, but I understand this will prob come back in a later update. Hoping the double tap to wake will come back at some point (I experimented with a 640 over the last two weeks and loved that feature). I would also like to disable vibrate on the navigation buttons, but I dont this is possible yet in Windows 10.
My question at the moment is - is there a way to disable toast notifications from apps when my phone screen is off, as at the moment the toast notification activates both the screen and Hello, which I don't think is particularly energy efficient. I still would like a toast notification when the screen is on. Is this possible?
