BB Bold :: Calendar Alerts No Longer Working?
Jul 11, 2011I no longer get calendar appt alerts even though they are set and the alert icon appears on the appt in the agenda view etc., the alerts are not working. How can I fix this?

BB Bold :: Calendar Invites Are No Longer Working
Jun 22, 2011I have had no problems until recently when I changed my email password and had to update my Bold settings for the new email password. Now when I send an invite from Calendar, it doesn't go out as a meeting invite, just text with no details of the meeting.

Jun 23, 2014The calendar alerts have been deteriorating since my installation of Mavericks. It does not matter what I do, alerts are NOT working. This is immensely annoying. First I got double alerts, that were still sometimes working. Than I got single alerts that were rarely working. Now I have alerts that do not work EVER.Â

I use Hotmail email I think this started to fail when I upgraded to the new OS. When I create a new Calender appointment, it no longer shows up in my hotmail calender. If I invite attendees, all they get is a blank email, they no longer get a proper meeting request in their Outlook inbox.
However, if they send me a meeting invite, it is properly recognized on my blackberry.
As best I tried scouring the internet looking at various BB forums, I went into options and deleted my Hotmail email account on the phone. I set it up again and it does not fix the problem. As far as I can tell, my hotmail account is a now typical account that has pop3 access.
EDIT: I removed the Hotmail account and added a GMail account. The GMail account workes totally fine with meeting invites. Also, after the creation of the GMail account, there is now a second inbox icon on my BB home screen. This icon is an envelope like the original one but also has a graphic of the world over-layed on top of it that resembles the Browser icon.
BB Bold :: Vibrate Only Not Working For All Alerts
Jul 24, 2011I just recently got a new blackberry bold phone. When I go up in the left hand corner and put it on Vibrate, it vibrates my phone but my emails, text messages and other alerts still ring. With my old one I could put it on vibrate and it would vibrate them all. Is their a way to fix this so that when I put it on vibrate it vibrates everything.

May 17, 2010I recently had problems with my phone and had to restore it using a full handheld wipe. I reloaded ny data and all is well except that I cannot get my phone to give me a tone or a vibrate when I receive an email. I have the out of holster and the in holster settings set to vibrate+tone, high, 3 but it still will not give me any audio or vibrate alert just mail icon pops up so I can only tell if I look at the phone if I have new email.

I jut happened to open my computer one day when I apparently had an event and it alerted me on my MacBook. Sep 10, 2014My iphone5 alerts are way too soft, and I can't hear them. The ringer is set to max, but I can't figure out how to set the calendar alerts to high. When I do a hard reset it works for a while (less than a day) but then goes way down in volume. I need a good, loud alert for appointments. I've set it to vibrate, but it's not always in a pocket so I can feel it. I think it started after the last iOS update, but it seems more recent than that.

BB Bold :: Email Via Outlook Exchange No Longer Working?

We purchased these phones so that our engineers and sales guys can access their emails away from the office.Earlier this week our email server was taken offline for maintenance and all the Blackberrys asked us to validate our email accounts. It has asked us to do this before and we simply re-entered the details and away we went.Not this time though. Despite passwords, exchange address, usernames remaining the same we still consistently get the following error message.Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact document-options.co.uk I can access my emails via the exchange via the internet using the same details that i am putting into the blackberry so i know that they do work. Just can't get the blackberry to receive my emails.I am not to tech minded but i do have an IT team inhouse that manage the exchange server.I have spoken to vodafone who also tried to setup the email account their end but got the same error message.

Apr 20, 2010My contacts used to syncronize fine between my Bold 9900 and gmail. Now they don't syncronise at all. I have deleted the SYNC service book and had my carrier push the service book to me again. I have deleted and reconnected my gmail account. Plus rebooted my phone a least a half dozen times.
I was also curious about the frequency for gmail contacts to sync with the blackberry. Is this push based or does it happen every 2 or 6 hours.

I received message saying I needed to validate my email address and password because I am no longer receiving emails to my phone. I tried to log in and the username and password don't work. I've never had to use this password and email until now, therefore is should not have been changed. I don't know how to fix the settings at all especially since I can't log into my settings!

Oct 7, 2010I started having this problem randomly 2 months ago, and when I put appointments on my calendar, they do not notify me, I checked all my settings and profiles and everything is set up, I don't even get the pop up message for the reminder. I even did a backup, clean install of the blackberry with the newest software, restored my messages and contacts etc, and the same issue still occurs...

Jan 4, 2010Today I noticed out of nowhere that my led indicator no longer works for any types of msgs. I am running Berry buzz on my 8900 so i thought maybe it was that....i uninstalled and reinstalled the app and no alerts are working still.
Of course, i initially tried a battery pull...and when i put the battery back in the led went red so i know its not burnt out or anything. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Im thinking of jumping from os .250 to the 5.0 os but im concearned about berry buzz working. Thats my most important app.

Apr 16, 2014I have experienced this feature on my gfs S4 so I know how it is supposed to work, but I have smart alerts turned on in the settings of my S5 but they do not seem to be working. I have not tested it with a missed called yet, but it says it works with messages and other notifications but it does not vibrate when I pick it up. Are there any other settings that might be affecting this? I do have the vibration turn on and up pretty high, and I even enabled vibrate during ringing just to be safe.

Aug 28, 2014My birthdays from contacts show up on my calendar and in the notification center, but I don't get any alert on my iPhone 4 (iOS 7), although I switched everything on in notification centre options, and also set default alert time for birthdays under calendar options on 'day of event (9:00)'. Other calendar events show up as expected, only birthdays fail. Also, birthday alerts do show up on my Mac, but I need the reminder on my iPhone - just missed two birthdays today!!

Dec 3, 2014Until recently, if I made a calendar entry (in any of the calendars shared with my wife) my wife would receive an alert on her iPhone and the Calendar app would show an invitation in the Inbox. The same thing would happen in reverse. Just recently, neither of us get alerts or invitations, although the new or modified calendar entry is synched across both iPhones. Neither of us aware of having changed any settings since this behaviour started. How can the notifications and invitations be restored?
