BB Bold :: All Sounds/alerts Have Stopped Working?
Jun 22, 2011My ringtone and text alerts have stopped working suddenly. I've not changed any settings; even with the phone sounds on "Loud".

May 8, 2012My iphone 3GS has no sounds now except the phone ringer. I have toggled the mute switch back and forth and it makes no difference. When I go into settings for sounds I see at the top that it is marked silent. However I cannot find any way to switch that off and reset it back to sounds. The only thing that seems to work now is vibrate and the phone ring.

Apr 28, 2010i just noticed that my phone isn't ringing anymore. only vibrating. after checking it i realized that all of my sounds have stopped working including ringer,alerts,notifications,speakerphone, video sounds, etc.i'm using a 9630 tour running v.5.0.0.591 on vzw. i've searched the forums but haven't had any luck finding the issue unless it is a 5.0 os issue. i updated to 5.0 when vzw pushed it a few weeks ago and the sounds were still working afterward. the last time i can remember hearing sounds was on sunday when i was watching a Internet vid.

Aug 18, 2014I've had many smart phones, all of which you can have the email and text alerts be two different sounds. The HTC One M8 is setup just like they are. You select the notification sound in the settings app and that changes the email alert. You then go into the text app and from the settings there you can change the text alert to something else. Simple, except the text sound will not change.

May 23, 2012I did the most recent update for May23, 2012 and since I updated the phone I no longer am receiving sounds on alerts or incoming texts. Also when i type on the keyboard, there is no sound. My music works no problem and when I test the ring tones, they all come up on the speaker, but my phone now only vibrates when there's a new text. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I have checked all my settings, reset the phone and everything and still no sound.

BB Bold :: Vibrate Only Not Working For All Alerts
Jul 24, 2011I just recently got a new blackberry bold phone. When I go up in the left hand corner and put it on Vibrate, it vibrates my phone but my emails, text messages and other alerts still ring. With my old one I could put it on vibrate and it would vibrate them all. Is their a way to fix this so that when I put it on vibrate it vibrates everything.

May 17, 2010I recently had problems with my phone and had to restore it using a full handheld wipe. I reloaded ny data and all is well except that I cannot get my phone to give me a tone or a vibrate when I receive an email. I have the out of holster and the in holster settings set to vibrate+tone, high, 3 but it still will not give me any audio or vibrate alert just mail icon pops up so I can only tell if I look at the phone if I have new email.

Oct 28, 2012My MMS suddenly stopped working afterI was trying to send a picture message during a phone call. I cannot send or receive picture messages ever since I attempted to send a picture message during a phone call. I can attach pictures onto a message but once I hit send, the message does not go through and instead I get a red X next to my message. I did not change any of my settings or updated anything. Picture messaging was working fine up until that day. I tried resending my service books and trying to resend a picture message but it still doesn't work. I put my sim card into my old blackberry curve 8900 and tried sending a picture message and it worked, so I am assuming that this is not a network problem but a problem with my bold. I am using an unlocked verizon blackberry bold 9930 on the t-mobile network. I am running OS 7.1 bundle 1737(v.7.1.0.580, Platform 5.1.0.429) (I updated to this OS after my failed attempt of sending picture messages) I also restored by bold to factory settings and resent the service books to see if it would work but it did not. I did a battery pull to see if that changed anything, but I still can't send picture messages.
