Apr 28, 2010i just noticed that my phone isn't ringing anymore. only vibrating. after checking it i realized that all of my sounds have stopped working including ringer,alerts,notifications,speakerphone, video sounds, etc.i'm using a 9630 tour running v.5.0.0.591 on vzw. i've searched the forums but haven't had any luck finding the issue unless it is a 5.0 os issue. i updated to 5.0 when vzw pushed it a few weeks ago and the sounds were still working afterward. the last time i can remember hearing sounds was on sunday when i was watching a Internet vid.

When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.

Jun 12, 2012I have a Curve 8520 for a year and I've never had any trouble with it.Yesterday I noticed that the notification sounds aren't working. I haven't done any update or settings change, so I found it a bit weird.I've already checked the profile settings (they are all correct), I've also tried to downgrade the software version to BB4 but, after some minutes the sounds stopped working again.Then I went back to 5.0.0.855 (1385) and still no sounds...The music player is working, the keypad sounds are OK... only the notifications are muted.

Jul 28, 2010About 6 weeks ago I went out, dropped my phone and the next day I noticed the ringer wasn't working. I pulled the battery after I had no idea what else to do and the ringtones/notifications worked again. However about every 5 or 6 days the same thing happens and I have to pull the battery. I also noticed that when I check the ringtone options whenever the ringtones fail the BB says "invalid ringtone, please choose anther ringtone"could it be that the loudspeaker is loose? It's not busted because it works most of the time and a battery pull seems to solve the issue.Just now I had to pull the battery again to get the ringtones sounding.

Sep 5, 2014I have an iPhone 4 that the lock button stopped working. with out the warrantee or Ins. on it. I tried fixing it myself with the paper solution that I saw on Youtube. this last time I tried fixing it. the button started to work and when I started putting the phone back together. the phone shut off and I cant seem to get it back on. is there any way besides sending it somewhere to get the button fixed to get it to turn back on? or do I need to get it replaced with a new one.

Aug 4, 2010I am a brand new user to Blackberry so I still don't know all the ins and outs, I'm hoping someone here can help me out.I have a Storm2 that is about 2 weeks old, it has been working great up until yesterday when the lock screen button just stopped working. I am referring to the method of tapping the power button on the top left to add and remove the lock.The power button still works to turn the phone on etc, but just wont lock the screen. As you can imagine this makes life very difficult with a touch screen phone.

T mobile told me that they could not repair the old one and therefore it was replaced with a new one - the keyboard and lock button has now stopped working on this some of the time meaning it can't be used as I cannot unlock it. Despite the fact that it was only brand new in January as the contract is over 2 years now they say there is no warranty on it but speak to Blackberry can't find any other way of doing this?

Feb 22, 2010I downloaded ringtones from crackberry a couple hours ago and now my ringers won't work and when I try to play ringtones in the media application it won't let me play them. I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. I had the exact same problem less than 24 hours ago and the cell phone place just gave me a new phone because they couldn't figure it out either. If I could get some kind of direction as to what I need to do I would appreciate it greatly.

Jul 3, 2010I have just changed phones from a HTC 610 to a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact.
In the days of my HTC's (3 of them) I used to always get a notification sound when I sent an SMS.
With the new Z5 Compact this does not happen, I do get a little message saying "Sent" for a moment and a little green arrow flashes up for a few seconds.
Not having the best of sight, or when outdoors, I am often unable to tell if the SMS actually went out. Is there a way to get a short tone to let me know that the message went out? I just can't seem to find a setting.
Not sure if this is an Android issue (current is 5.1.1, previous 4.2 and earlier) or if it is a Sony Z5 issue.

Apr 3, 2014Over all the sound on the z3 is good. It's loud when turn up the volume on music and videos but for some reason the notifications tone is lower than when I select it to preview. I did check the audio settings and made sure the notification Sounds are at max. The clear audio etc. And it's seems like it's just a few notches to low.
