View 2 RepliesI'm thinking about getting an iPhone or iPod touch and want to listen to podcasts. With my current MP3 player/software combination I have a problem dealing with podcasts. So I'm wondering if iTunes+iPod/iPhone can do what I want. This is what I'm looking for:
I want to be able to have a playlist containing all podcasts that I haven't listened to. When a new podcast comes out I want to be able to sync with iTunes and have the new podcast get appended to the playlist. Preferably I should not have to choose which podcasts to append. All new podcasts should just be automatically appended. I don't want to have to make a new playlist everytime I download a new podcast and I don't want to lose my place in the playlist. I just want to sync the podcast and have it show up in my podcast playlist. Once I've listened to a podcast I want it to be deleted and taken off of the playlist. Thus the playlist should just act like a queue where podcasts that have been listened to get deleted and new podcasts get appended. I know that iTunes/iPod has some functionality in dealing with podcasts, but can it do all of this? If not, do you know of any device/software combination that can perhaps non-iPod or software for the iPod touch, something like that? If there's an application which can do this without syncing to iTunes, that would be work too.
I installed and reinstalled the podcast app several times but every time i open the app all i get is an 'all episodes' option which has no episodes in it. I have no way to browse for podcasts or add new podcast feeds.Options takes me to media options, nothing at all about podcasts.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy MMS suddenly stopped working afterI was trying to send a picture message during a phone call. I cannot send or receive picture messages ever since I attempted to send a picture message during a phone call. I can attach pictures onto a message but once I hit send, the message does not go through and instead I get a red X next to my message. I did not change any of my settings or updated anything. Picture messaging was working fine up until that day. I tried resending my service books and trying to resend a picture message but it still doesn't work. I put my sim card into my old blackberry curve 8900 and tried sending a picture message and it worked, so I am assuming that this is not a network problem but a problem with my bold. I am using an unlocked verizon blackberry bold 9930 on the t-mobile network. I am running OS 7.1 bundle 1737(v.7.1.0.580, Platform 5.1.0.429) (I updated to this OS after my failed attempt of sending picture messages) I also restored by bold to factory settings and resent the service books to see if it would work but it did not. I did a battery pull to see if that changed anything, but I still can't send picture messages.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am currently out of town and have turned off my mobile network in order to avoid long distance charges. However I enabled wifi where I am staying so I may still be able to use the blackberry applications such as bbm, facebook, weather network, blackberry app world etc.Everything has been working fine for the first two days but has then recently stopped. I can still browse the web, but my bbm msgs are not going through nor am i receiving any, fb alerts have stopped coming in and so on.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a blackberry bold 9780 for the last year and a half and I love it. I recently did a bbm update and shortly after that certain keys worked off and on. I contacted Rogers and they advised to to update the OS so I did. This has not helped. The next call I made to them, they advised me to take it to a rogers store for repair. I did and they informed me that they do not repair out of warranty and they sent me to a kiosk in the mall to have it repaired. According to the kiosk they were not able to fix the issue, they cleaned it, replaced the membrane and still no luck. Now the buttons that worked infrequently no longer work at all. The buttons that do not work are i, o, k,l,m,$ and delete.

I have been using the messenger and all other services for around 4 months now and suddenly my messenger has stopped working. I can use whatsapp and facebook but my messenger wont show any updates or let me send a message or recieve a message. Before this problem started I installed the new update for the new blackblerry messenger which carries customisations such as bubble colours and the like. I tried to restart the phone, remove the battery, but still doesn't work. I tried my SIM card on another phone and it's working without any issues.
So randomly yesterday my bolds up volume key stopped working and now I can't even put up my music... The pause and lower volume buttons work though..

Previously work had supplied all Blackberrys but were moving to HTC, but as I am a luddite who prefers buttons, I opted out and to go it alone. Initially I managed to set up my outlook so that everything worked well - outlook mail, calander etc was synced, and updated regularly. I did thisvia the blackberry desktop, rather than the BES, as I knew this was being discontinued. Then I went on holiday last week, and while somewhere in Germany, my work mail stopped downloading (my personal mail carried on fine). Now I'm back, and it still won't work!

I have backed up etc. This still hasnt worked. has anyone else had these problems.

It is set up with my Yahoo account and I have always been able to send and receive email from my phone just fine. Just in the last 24 hours, though, my service stopped working. I cannot send any emails, it errors with that blasted red X, and I cannot receive any new emails even though my email account in itself works -- I send emails from my work account to my Yahoo account on the computer, and I can see the emails are coming in when I check my email on the computer but nothing is registering on my phone.
I've Googled my way through various troubleshooting tips, I've shut the device off and back on, I've removed the battery and SIM card and put it back again, I've tried to go to Manage Internet Email but it says it cannot connect. I've gone to Blackberry Internet Service on the T-Mobile website and it does not show that I have a e-mail account configured, even though I've been using email on my phone the entire time. I try to set up my email there on the website and it says, lo and behold, that that email is already registered on my device! There is nothing wrong with my network connection on the phone, I have full 3G signal or EDGE signal (depending on what part of the room I'm in here at work). I have not changed any settings on my phone at all and my email just stopped working out of nowhere.
When I try to get info from phone through advanced settings it says connecting to email settings. It says 'your device had a problem connecting to the server' retrying does not make any difference. I have the latest software (checked) Wi-Fi, is working and so is texting?
