I have a blackberry bold 9930 which I brought from USA. I am on T-Mobile in the UK. I have been using the messenger and all other services for around 4 months now and suddenly my messenger has stopped working. I can use whatsapp and facebook but my messenger wont show any updates or let me send a message or recieve a message. Before this problem started I installed the new update for the new blackblerry messenger which carries customisations such as bubble colours and the like. It worked fine for a few days then suddenly this Friday it stopped working after experiencing some heavy lags. The phone is on BOLD 9930 on 7.1 OS bundle 457 (v7.1.0.163, Platform 5.1.0.137) which is the latest update
My Bold 9930 internet service stopped working I updated the phone and tried all possibilities with my network provider and still its not working on my phone.
I have noticed that the past three days I have been unable to use blackberry messenger and facebook on my phone unless connected to the wifi at home. When I go outside the messages do not work. I do not know if this is a problem with my phone or if it is a problem with the browser outside. It's really stressing me out because I can't use it unless I am in the house.
I have been syncing just fine for months. Now all of the sudden when I plug in my phone to sync and backup, it doesn't do anything. It doesn't even try to detect my device. The only way I can make it work is to uninstall and reinstall the desktop program. But I'm sick of having to do that everytime I need to sync my phone.
I just received a brand new blackberry 9930 and it is not working with the SIM card I have in the phone. I live in Jamaica and I am using a Digicel SIM card. The original carrier of the phone is Sprint. The phone is unlocked and I have the MSL code and I inserted it and the phone rebooted and nothing changed. What I see on the main screen of the phone is "SOS" in the top right-hand corner and sometimes "searching for GSM" comes up and then it goes back to SOS and if I try to dial a number it starts to say "the call could not be connected, try again".When I go into the "Mobile Network" option it says
Data Services: On While roaming: On Mobile Network: DIGICEL Network Selection Mode: Automatic Network Technology: GSM/UMTS Network Mode: 3G & 2G
I bought a 9930 non-camera phone however Airtel data services are not working. Airtel says, it's a technical glitch in the server and they have escalated the issue to RIM with no definite ETR. I have paid a huge amount for the phone and unable to use it.
Last week Verizon had an interuption in e-mail service.I received a notification on my Blackberry that I needed to verify my Password.I tried, but recevied a message saying email setup application is not available.I have tried numerous times since then to no avail.I even tried rebooting my phone. I'm not sure if it is a Blackberry issue or a Verizon issue.
If I use the holster that came with my 9930, it goes into sleep mode like it is supposed to, but I don't like that holster. It's too difficult to remove the BB from those holsters, when you grab it to slide it out, you also push the volume up key.I prefer the face-in spring loaded belt holster like I used with my Bold 9650. I am using ones designed for the Bold 9000 and they fit, but the holster sleep mode doesn't work. I tested the holsters with an old 9000 and they do work correctly, but no luck with the 9930 - as if the magnets are in a different location.
About a week or so ago, the handset stopped working on phone calls on my Verizon 9930. I would have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the person on the other end. I just updated to the latest OS that was released yesterday (7.1.0.580) and the problem is still there. Can't remember what triggered the handset to stop working, as I didn't do anything different to the phone, or drop it, etc. I should add whether receiving or making the call, it doesn't work either way. Also I've tried soft pulls (alt + upper case + del) but not a battery pull. Figured the OS update worked the same as a battery pull.
I'm using Verizon 9930 unlocked set seem everything is working fine but the BIS is not working. I did register the Host Routing Table but nothing happen and I did change the APN as well.
I previously had a BB Curve. I store a lot of information in the notes portion of my contacts. With the Curve I could search for items stored in notes and it would display any contact that contained the search criteria. I currently have a BB Bold 9930. When I do the same type of search it doesn't retrieve the contact. I spent a lot of time and energy to store needed information for quick reference and now it is useless.
im having a problem with the blod 9780, its my second blackberry bold first of all I thought its the cellphone problem then i sell it and i got new blod 9780 also its a having the same crazy thing saying (service not enabled for this handheld.) the msn, Google talk are working and other messengers but yahoo is killing me i don't know whats the wrong with it..
i just bought my new bold 9700 and i faced 3 main problems.
1- whenever i tried to download any application through blackberry.com i face this messag "Sorry , your session has been expired. Please close all your browser windows and then return to the welcome page to start again." it was the only one page running at that time . i tried to restart the bb many times but i keep facing the same message.
2- Live messenger is not working . this message appears "Service not enabled for this handheld"
3- facebook application also not working ( i gess it is the same problem as live messenger)
My MMS suddenly stopped working afterI was trying to send a picture message during a phone call. I cannot send or receive picture messages ever since I attempted to send a picture message during a phone call. I can attach pictures onto a message but once I hit send, the message does not go through and instead I get a red X next to my message. I did not change any of my settings or updated anything. Picture messaging was working fine up until that day. I tried resending my service books and trying to resend a picture message but it still doesn't work. I put my sim card into my old blackberry curve 8900 and tried sending a picture message and it worked, so I am assuming that this is not a network problem but a problem with my bold. I am using an unlocked verizon blackberry bold 9930 on the t-mobile network. I am running OS 7.1 bundle 1737(v.7.1.0.580, Platform 5.1.0.429) (I updated to this OS after my failed attempt of sending picture messages) I also restored by bold to factory settings and resent the service books to see if it would work but it did not. I did a battery pull to see if that changed anything, but I still can't send picture messages.
I recently moved for South Africa to Mozambique, bought a local SIM and subscribed to BIS.
Everything was working smoothly until a few nights ago when my email icon disappeared and I received a message saying;

Your Vodacom South Africa email service is deactivated.Email messages are no longer being sent to your BlackBerry® device.

To set up email with your current wireless service provider, click Set Up Email.
BlackBerry

When I click the link I get a message saying:

Your device encountered a problem with the acctivation server.

The strange thing is the message says its from Vodacom SA while I am using a Mozambiquean SIM
<br
My Blackberry Bold 9700's LED stopped working after only two days. I have tried wiping the unit clean, checked the bedside mode, silent mode (sound profiles), etc. Anyone else having problems with theirs?
I am currently out of town and have turned off my mobile network in order to avoid long distance charges. However I enabled wifi where I am staying so I may still be able to use the blackberry applications such as bbm, facebook, weather network, blackberry app world etc.Everything has been working fine for the first two days but has then recently stopped. I can still browse the web, but my bbm msgs are not going through nor am i receiving any, fb alerts have stopped coming in and so on.
I have had a blackberry bold 9780 for the last year and a half and I love it. I recently did a bbm update and shortly after that certain keys worked off and on. I contacted Rogers and they advised to to update the OS so I did. This has not helped. The next call I made to them, they advised me to take it to a rogers store for repair. I did and they informed me that they do not repair out of warranty and they sent me to a kiosk in the mall to have it repaired. According to the kiosk they were not able to fix the issue, they cleaned it, replaced the membrane and still no luck. Now the buttons that worked infrequently no longer work at all. The buttons that do not work are i, o, k,l,m,$ and delete.
I have a Bold 9930, and suddenly the mobile network is not able to connect any more. All the other phone functions are working without any issues including wireless, bluetooth, ....
I tried to restart the phone, remove the battery, but still doesn't work. I tried my SIM card on another phone and it's working without any issues.
