I have had no problems until recently when I changed my email password and had to update my Bold settings for the new email password. Now when I send an invite from Calendar, it doesn't go out as a meeting invite, just text with no details of the meeting.

I use Hotmail email I think this started to fail when I upgraded to the new OS. When I create a new Calender appointment, it no longer shows up in my hotmail calender. If I invite attendees, all they get is a blank email, they no longer get a proper meeting request in their Outlook inbox.
However, if they send me a meeting invite, it is properly recognized on my blackberry.
As best I tried scouring the internet looking at various BB forums, I went into options and deleted my Hotmail email account on the phone. I set it up again and it does not fix the problem. As far as I can tell, my hotmail account is a now typical account that has pop3 access.
EDIT: I removed the Hotmail account and added a GMail account. The GMail account workes totally fine with meeting invites. Also, after the creation of the GMail account, there is now a second inbox icon on my BB home screen. This icon is an envelope like the original one but also has a graphic of the world over-layed on top of it that resembles the Browser icon.
I no longer get calendar appt alerts even though they are set and the alert icon appears on the appt in the agenda view etc., the alerts are not working. How can I fix this?

They tell me that there is a compatibility problem between hotmail and the BlackBerry software. They state that the problem rests with BlackBerry and not them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use gmail and google calendar on my blackberry. My work outlook syncs with google calendar and the BB syncs my calendar. That all works fine I also have an outlook web access connection to my work email.When I get work emails that are appointment invites they show up on the BB calendar. This happens even if I dont accept them. Just the fact that there is an email coming to by BB that is an invite gets them on my calendar. Then the next time my BB syncs with my Google calendar I end up with duplicate appointments for all items that I received invites for via my OWA account.Is there a way I can stop these work invites from ending up on my calendar. I just the OWA email. Even if the invites showed up in my BB message list that would be fine I just dont want them to make their way to my calendar.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have this issue on both my iPad and iPhone. When i get a calendar invite in my inbox (for example an exhange invite *.ics) there is no option to accept the invitation. I can open the event in mail, and view teh details, but there is no way to accept it. The invite also does not show up as an "invitation" in my calendar, althought it does show up in the actual calendar as an event that has not been accepted.

Using the stock email app have issues with Exchange meeting/calendar invites? If I receive a meeting request via email (from my work account) there are no details about the invite (date, time or location). I am given the option for the following in the body of the email:
Calendar Invite - "View in Calendar"
Going? - "Yes", "Maybe" or "No"
If I choose "View in Calendar", my calendar will open to the invite date, but will not show the proposed time block, just what is already scheduled for that date. If I choose "Yes" to accept, there is a small prompt stating "responding to sender" (or something similar), however it never shows up in the calendar.

I'm struggling to get my boyfriend's ical invites (sent from his iPhone) on to my Samsung calendar - via Hotmail and Gmail.
I've just got the s6, before I had the s4, and we must have figured out some workaround as he'd email me on my Hotmail account, and I could "Preview" then "import" the event with success.
When he sends me invites now, they come through as ical invites, that I can 'accept', but it takes me to an icloud account - for which I don't know if I have any logins/details!! What icloud account am I accepting these invites into?!
Any apps that will translate the stupid ical events into something else, or does he need to do something differently on his side?
Im having trouble sending/receiving invitation in my iPhone cal. I notice it only seems to do this with gmail accts. I read some old posts on this being a problem with iCloud and gmail addresses for apple ID. Trying to see if there is a more updated fix before contacting Apple?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I accept meeting invitations through my email and it adds it to my google calendar, my phone displays the notes section on a single line. Making it nearly impossible to scroll over and read. I can't modify the calendar event at all, and I have to open up the web browser or original email (by searching through my emails) to view the notes within the original spacing/formatting.
Only calendar events that I make myself will have the proper notes section spaced out. Please see attached photos for my examples:

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded my BB Bold 9700 (on Vodafone) to OS6 from OS5 and all meeting invites received now just appear as normal messages and not meeting invites. This means if I open the menu within the message there is no option to accept/decline the invite. This is the same if I open an entry in the calendar where I see the body of the calendar entry but the menu has no option for accept/decline.
When I was still on OS5 this worked perfectly and i was able to receive and respond to meeting invites. I've been through all the options that I can find on the handset and on BB Desktop as well but can't find anything that controls how calendar invites are received and processed.
The version number of the OS on the handset is 6.0 Bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546).
We have 5 Blackberry Bold 9700. We purchased these phones so that our engineers and sales guys can access their emails away from the office.Earlier this week our email server was taken offline for maintenance and all the Blackberrys asked us to validate our email accounts. It has asked us to do this before and we simply re-entered the details and away we went.Not this time though. Despite passwords, exchange address, usernames remaining the same we still consistently get the following error message.Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact document-options.co.uk I can access my emails via the exchange via the internet using the same details that i am putting into the blackberry so i know that they do work. Just can't get the blackberry to receive my emails.I am not to tech minded but i do have an IT team inhouse that manage the exchange server.I have spoken to vodafone who also tried to setup the email account their end but got the same error message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy contacts used to syncronize fine between my Bold 9900 and gmail. Now they don't syncronise at all. I have deleted the SYNC service book and had my carrier push the service book to me again. I have deleted and reconnected my gmail account. Plus rebooted my phone a least a half dozen times.
I was also curious about the frequency for gmail contacts to sync with the blackberry. Is this push based or does it happen every 2 or 6 hours.
I have had my Bold for almost two years now and I've NEVER had a problem... until now. I received message saying I needed to validate my email address and password because I am no longer receiving emails to my phone. I tried to log in and the username and password don't work. I've never had to use this password and email until now, therefore is should not have been changed. I don't know how to fix the settings at all especially since I can't log into my settings!

I even did a backup, clean install of the blackberry with the newest software, restored my messages and contacts etc, and the same issue still occurs...

The same thing would happen in reverse. Just recently, neither of us get alerts or invitations, although the new or modified calendar entry is synched across both iPhones. Neither of us aware of having changed any settings since this behaviour started. How can the notifications and invitations be restored?

View 1 Replies View RelatedToday the native calendar (green one) on my Galaxy S5 stopped syncing with my Google calendar. When I checked the settings there were no calendars listed. When I try to add a calendar, the app crashes. In addition to that, all the appointments on my phone have been deleted. The calendar is version 1.0.
It also will not sync to Outlook, which it had done previously.
After upgrading my iPhone 4 over the air to IOS 5.1, tapping on URLs within Calendar meeting invitations (within the Notes field) no longer launch into Safari. I now must hold my finger on the URL, select "Copy", open Safari separately, then paste the URL into the address bar. The "Open" option does nothing as well.
This bug exists in both the the native Apple Calendar app as well as 3rd party calendar apps, and only started once I upgraded to 5.1.

Calendar on previous iPhones could show dates and events in list format, a very useful format. iPhone6 does not seem to have this format. Is there a workaround for this?

Recently I have been unable to sync my Blackberry calendar with my Outlook 2010 calendar. I am getting a message "calendar not installed" when I synch my organizer files. My other organizer files synch okay. I am able to make calendar entries on my device and on Outlook but unable to synch calendars. I tried everything I could think of.

Well, I like my calendar to appear on my today screen but not just the default calendar entries, I want to truly capture my day on the today screen. the email account is already defined as the default account for calendar (CICAL)!! My colleauge have 9790 using the same server, and the same setting, and the calendar is sync properly through wireless. I tried sync throug bb Desktop Manager, it worked. I dont have BES, so I set up my Microsoft Exchange email as internet based account. the emails are being sync properly between handheld and the server.
Hi my Nokia N86 has stopped sending sms! It keeps trying to send them but never sends, I have called my network (o2) who says its the phone but it was working ok for 5 months, I have turned off the GPRS connectivity and checked my SMS settings, all is fine but it just wont send.I have a sneaking suspicion that this has happened since I use the 'software update' tool but the only updates that were updated was 'ovi contacts' and 'ovi maps' could they interfere with my sms?

A few minutes after I exit I get 1 email that has a red X beside it. The message says "sent using desktop secure, folder sent items and message status, unlisted message error. The body of the email is the invitation that should have been sent.
