I suddenly am unable to send invites for calendar events that I create on my BB Curve 9300. I found a lot of my e-mails in a POP folder that I had never seen before in my hotmail inbox. Tried a battery jack. We re-downloaded the OS. Flushed the e-mail account from the BlackBerry device to reset it. Tried deleting applications. Tried a restoration of the device. Nothing worked...
View 6 RepliesFinally got an answer from a technician at Windows mobile / hotmail. They are redirecting me to this page for support. They tell me that there is a compatibility problem between hotmail and the BlackBerry software. They state that the problem rests with BlackBerry and not them.

I read some old posts on this being a problem with iCloud and gmail addresses for apple ID. Trying to see if there is a more updated fix before contacting Apple?

When someone sends me a calendar invite I used to be able to open the invite from my messages folder, open it, and accept. Now i can't open it at all. The only thing it will let me do is mark it unopened or delete. I have reset the device to no avail

I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
My Blackberry Curve is connected to my hotmail (live.co.uk) account. The e-mail account and Blackberry seem to reconcile well except for changes I make to the e-mail account on my PC. These changes are not reconciling with the Blackberry.So, if I read or delete e-mails from the BB, this shows up on the PC. But if I read or delete e-mails on the PC, this is not reflected on the phone. The BB does, however, receive e-mails from this account.I also have another e-mail account connected (Outlook) which is working perfectly.I have searched through the options and can't find anything that looks like it will resolve the issue.

I've gone into email settings and put in my hotmail.co.uk address and my password but I just keep getting a message saying Invalid email address or password. I know both are correct as I am able to use the account on a computer. It just won't let me use it on the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use gmail and google calendar on my blackberry. My work outlook syncs with google calendar and the BB syncs my calendar. That all works fine I also have an outlook web access connection to my work email.When I get work emails that are appointment invites they show up on the BB calendar. This happens even if I dont accept them. Just the fact that there is an email coming to by BB that is an invite gets them on my calendar. Then the next time my BB syncs with my Google calendar I end up with duplicate appointments for all items that I received invites for via my OWA account.Is there a way I can stop these work invites from ending up on my calendar. I just the OWA email. Even if the invites showed up in my BB message list that would be fine I just dont want them to make their way to my calendar.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have this issue on both my iPad and iPhone. When i get a calendar invite in my inbox (for example an exhange invite *.ics) there is no option to accept the invitation. I can open the event in mail, and view teh details, but there is no way to accept it. The invite also does not show up as an "invitation" in my calendar, althought it does show up in the actual calendar as an event that has not been accepted.

I have had no problems until recently when I changed my email password and had to update my Bold settings for the new email password. Now when I send an invite from Calendar, it doesn't go out as a meeting invite, just text with no details of the meeting.

However, I still cannot send or receive my emais and when I try to send it comes up with an error message: 'User account is in INVALID mode'. I did change my hotmail password the other day; don't know if this is of importance. In addition, I have tried to modify the email account set up on my blackberry but it will not allow me to access the current account settings or allow me to add a new account, the option just doesn't exist or appear, which had not been an issue up until now. I could, however, set up an enterprise account if wanted. I am not sure who to contact about this so thought I'd post here first...

SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work fine. My email account works fine if I log in through the browser. My wife has the same phone and also has a hotmail email account and hasn't had any problems.Any ideas on how to fix this?

A few minutes after I exit I get 1 email that has a red X beside it. The message says "sent using desktop secure, folder sent items and message status, unlisted message error. The body of the email is the invitation that should have been sent.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing the stock email app have issues with Exchange meeting/calendar invites? If I receive a meeting request via email (from my work account) there are no details about the invite (date, time or location). I am given the option for the following in the body of the email:
Calendar Invite - "View in Calendar"
Going? - "Yes", "Maybe" or "No"
If I choose "View in Calendar", my calendar will open to the invite date, but will not show the proposed time block, just what is already scheduled for that date. If I choose "Yes" to accept, there is a small prompt stating "responding to sender" (or something similar), however it never shows up in the calendar.

I'm struggling to get my boyfriend's ical invites (sent from his iPhone) on to my Samsung calendar - via Hotmail and Gmail.
I've just got the s6, before I had the s4, and we must have figured out some workaround as he'd email me on my Hotmail account, and I could "Preview" then "import" the event with success.
When he sends me invites now, they come through as ical invites, that I can 'accept', but it takes me to an icloud account - for which I don't know if I have any logins/details!! What icloud account am I accepting these invites into?!
Any apps that will translate the stupid ical events into something else, or does he need to do something differently on his side?

I use Hotmail email I think this started to fail when I upgraded to the new OS. When I create a new Calender appointment, it no longer shows up in my hotmail calender. If I invite attendees, all they get is a blank email, they no longer get a proper meeting request in their Outlook inbox.
However, if they send me a meeting invite, it is properly recognized on my blackberry.
As best I tried scouring the internet looking at various BB forums, I went into options and deleted my Hotmail email account on the phone. I set it up again and it does not fix the problem. As far as I can tell, my hotmail account is a now typical account that has pop3 access.
EDIT: I removed the Hotmail account and added a GMail account. The GMail account workes totally fine with meeting invites. Also, after the creation of the GMail account, there is now a second inbox icon on my BB home screen. This icon is an envelope like the original one but also has a graphic of the world over-layed on top of it that resembles the Browser icon.
When I accept meeting invitations through my email and it adds it to my google calendar, my phone displays the notes section on a single line. Making it nearly impossible to scroll over and read. I can't modify the calendar event at all, and I have to open up the web browser or original email (by searching through my emails) to view the notes within the original spacing/formatting.
Only calendar events that I make myself will have the proper notes section spaced out. Please see attached photos for my examples:

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 a few weeks ago and I've added 3 e-mail accounts to it the same day to see how it works, it worked fine on the first day but on the next one it stopped working. Only then I created a BIS account - which TIM is my carrier -. Now the problem is: I can't delete these 3 accounts I've added earlier. I've tried to add them again trying to make it work properly, but I am unable to re-add them. On my BIS carrier website, It says that I've reached the maximum e-mail accounts.
How can I delete these e-mail accounts? I've tried the methods found on the web, like the one to "reconciliate"(?) the e-mail account option through wifi (on the phone). PS: My Blackberry is running a 6.0 bundle 2391 OS.
I am just reloading my blackberry after a repair for constant crashing and rebooting.all is well except when I enter blackberry set up and click the email account icon, nowt happens! all the others work. I can make and receive calls, any ideas what I can do to reconnect my email account? ( it does not crash anymore!)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the Blackberry Curve 9300 and I am also currently using the Yahoo Calendar and Google Calendar for separate uses. I find that I am not able to sync my Blackberry Curve 9300 to either of these Calendar.
On my computer, I am currently using Thunderbird and hope that I will be able to syn my calendar here as well.
My Curve willl not Sync with outlook. I have tried removing the desktop software and reinstalling and now it will not install the latest version. This all occured because my calander would not sync and was requesting to sync with .ics file? instead of windows outlook.

I got a BB plan activated with my provider (Airtel - www.airtel.in ) and got it to sync my work email, contacts and calendar using the BIS site. My employer uses Google Apps Premier Edition, so it was a rather painless process.Afterwards, I upgraded the device to OS6. Once the upgrade was complete, my emails started syncing automatically - nothing really needed from my side. But the Calendar and Contacts do not sync any more. I can see that the checkboxes for Calendar and Contacts are enabled both on the BIS site as well as the device, but they simply do not sync.

I know even a sim card is replaced the other person would still be able to view my accounts. I spoke my service provider and they said here is nothing they can do, i dont know why. I dont remember creating a BIS account. It was my private gmail account lined to BB.
