BB Bold :: Unable To Accept Meeting Invites After Upgrading?
Aug 15, 2011
I've upgraded my BB Bold 9700 (on Vodafone) to OS6 from OS5 and all meeting invites received now just appear as normal messages and not meeting invites. This means if I open the menu within the message there is no option to accept/decline the invite. This is the same if I open an entry in the calendar where I see the body of the calendar entry but the menu has no option for accept/decline.
When I was still on OS5 this worked perfectly and i was able to receive and respond to meeting invites. I've been through all the options that I can find on the handset and on BB Desktop as well but can't find anything that controls how calendar invites are received and processed.
The version number of the OS on the handset is 6.0 Bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546).
When I receive a meeting invitation sent from Microsoft Hotmail / Microsoft Windows Live Mail / Microsoft Outlook to my Google Gmail account, I am unable to accept or decline the invitation from the Android 4.0.4 Gmail App. The Gmail App displays the email message as having an ".ics" attachment. Clicking the ".ics" attachment opens the event in the Android 4.0.4 Calendar App. Unfortunately, neither the Gmail App nor the Calendar App provide a way to respond to the sender with an indication of accept or decline. Further, the event on the calendar loses the information about the event organizer and instead incorretly shows me as the creator of the event rather than as an attendee.
A related issue is that the Calendar App insists on storing the event on the "Device calendar." More information on saving the event to the default calendar is described in the post "Problem saving meeting invites on RAZR." Android Issue 1257, "Calendar should support opening iCal .ics files" is also relevant.
Is there any way to use the ATRIX HD in a way that is compatible with iCalendar (.ics) format invitations? Test System: Motorola Atrix HD, Android 4.0.4.
Since upgrading to Gingerbread (2.3.4) on the Motorola Atrix I have not been able to accept/decline/tentative meeting invitations from my phone. Is anyone else having this problem? I do have 2 (multiple) Coporate Sync accounts setup where I am syncing calendar and email etc. I have not attempted to see if having one would make it possible. I can't accept the invite from the calendar nor from the email.
I am the end user of a company blackberry. we use the blackberry enterprise server. I set up an event and try invite coworkers. A few minutes after I exit I get 1 email that has a red X beside it. The message says "sent using desktop secure, folder sent items and message status, unlisted message error. The body of the email is the invitation that should have been sent.
I use Exchange at work and I receive lots of meeting invitations, some of them I need to forward to one my team members to attend on my behalf, or I need to extend this invitation to people I see relevant to the topic. There is no menu item or a button as "Forward". I need to know how to forward a received meeting invitation to someone else that they will receive it as an invitation and not a regular email
I use Hotmail email I think this started to fail when I upgraded to the new OS. When I create a new Calender appointment, it no longer shows up in my hotmail calender. If I invite attendees, all they get is a blank email, they no longer get a proper meeting request in their Outlook inbox.
However, if they send me a meeting invite, it is properly recognized on my blackberry.
As best I tried scouring the internet looking at various BB forums, I went into options and deleted my Hotmail email account on the phone. I set it up again and it does not fix the problem. As far as I can tell, my hotmail account is a now typical account that has pop3 access.
EDIT: I removed the Hotmail account and added a GMail account. The GMail account workes totally fine with meeting invites. Also, after the creation of the GMail account, there is now a second inbox icon on my BB home screen. This icon is an envelope like the original one but also has a graphic of the world over-layed on top of it that resembles the Browser icon.
I got my bbm on the 25th, and i gave a few friends my pin, but they're invite wont come through? or if i send them an invite it just says pending autorisation and they dont receive my invite?
I have this issue on both my iPad and iPhone. When i get a calendar invite in my inbox (for example an exhange invite *.ics) there is no option to accept the invitation. I can open the event in mail, and view teh details, but there is no way to accept it. The invite also does not show up as an "invitation" in my calendar, althought it does show up in the actual calendar as an event that has not been accepted.
I'm struggling to get my boyfriend's ical invites (sent from his iPhone) on to my Samsung calendar - via Hotmail and Gmail.
I've just got the s6, before I had the s4, and we must have figured out some workaround as he'd email me on my Hotmail account, and I could "Preview" then "import" the event with success.
When he sends me invites now, they come through as ical invites, that I can 'accept', but it takes me to an icloud account - for which I don't know if I have any logins/details!! What icloud account am I accepting these invites into?!
Any apps that will translate the stupid ical events into something else, or does he need to do something differently on his side?
I can no longer accept or decline a meeting request from my wife and colleague who both have blackberrys. I can send out meeting requests but I cannot receive them, all I get is an email message with no accept or decline.
I received a meeting invite via Exchange for work, I opened the notification and the meeting, but I can't find the way to accept, tentative, or reject it. Is this an Android bug or I'm just not seeing the buttons.
Sometimes I forward a meeting request (invite) from my Outlook calendar at work to my POP3 email at home. I do this so I can see the meeting request on my DROID 2.
How do I accept that meeting request and add it to my DROID 2 calendar?
My phone upgraded to software v6 on the weekend which did not go smoothly, I lost all of my data and Apps and had to reload it all.Since the upgrade I have not been able to accept appointments from my email inbox.I am not using enterprise just sending emails to my home email from my work email either forwarding them or adding myself as a delegate in outlook. when I open the email meeting request there is no option to accept it.I have the option to view calendar.
I recenly changed device from BB Curve 8530 to BB Bold 9900 and ever since then can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows only as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either. Tried sending PIN messages but I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. I tried deleting them and sent an invite only to find out that: I can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving any. (they also have the same pending for authorization notice on their end) When I tried to send them a PIN message I get a red x next to the message nd get the service blocked message.
I just got my new Blackberry Bold 9000 and got everything migrated from my old Pearl and I have everything working good except the Blackberry Messenger. I upgraded it to 5.0.0.57 and all I get is the Blackberry Messenger License Agreement and it will not allow me to click on either button, ``I Accept``or ``Ì Do Not Accept`` .Is there something I`m missing or what.... This is very frustrating as it is my only way of communicating while I`m working.

How do I copy a calendar appointment (whether meeting or to-do)?Then how do stop the meeting alert from continuing on until I stop it. I know how to "swipe" the screen to stop it - but if you are away from your phone and the alarm goes off, I don't want it going on forever.
When I get a meeting invite from someone as an .ics file attached to an email if I open the attachment and press save it is saved to the local phone calendar and not my Google calendar, which has been set to be the default calendar. There seems to be no option to allow it to save it to the Google calendar (or move it afterwards), other than not saving it on the phone but waiting until I have access to my (non-Moto) Android tablet which doesn't have a local calendar, just the Google calendar.
I have had no problems until recently when I changed my email password and had to update my Bold settings for the new email password. Now when I send an invite from Calendar, it doesn't go out as a meeting invite, just text with no details of the meeting.
I recently applied the latest blackberry update to v.6.0. ever since, any meeting requests i send from my BB send to my invites as blank emails. never had this issue prior.
I have upgraded to the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and I am having trouble getting the BlackBerry Appworld to work ... I have updated it to the latest software available and it still says that my BlackBerry does not meet the system requirements.Has anyone got any suggestions?I am with 3 and I have the BlackBerry Browser and email package on it too ... also there is no option for me to set up my hotmail account on the system it is only allowing me to use a BlackBerry Enterprise Server account.
I am unable to accept meeting invitations from my iPhone 4G 16 GB. I hit accept and it closes like I accepted and I go back into it and it was like I did not accept. Checking my outgoing emails it sent an acceptance email but still shows pending me. Very frustrating because I am not being reminded of my meetings.
I can access the appworld on my 9900, but if I go to download anything then it asks for my ID and password which it won't accept. It just says "Unable to log into your Blackberry Account". I know the ID and password are ok as I can login fine on both my laptop and playbook.
I have recently changed my email, and I need to update my phone so that it now accepts my new email address. I can access my new email from the browser, but cannot seem get it directly to mail blackberry mail icon. Switched from an aol email to a gmail account.
I tried to connect my bb to my pc but i couldn't get the password right! Plus i took the battery off but then it kept asking to enter "blackberry" in order to continue but when i did it was - again- incorrect! I took the battery off again but now it wont even accept my password!
II'm unable to backup my iPhone 5 since upgrading to iOS 8. I get the message "the last backup could not be completed" after attempting to do it manually in iCloud settings.
Info: iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.1, upgraded to Yosemite on Mac
