I read some old posts on this being a problem with iCloud and gmail addresses for apple ID. Trying to see if there is a more updated fix before contacting Apple?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs of this morning, my Storm2 has been unable to receive e-mail. I am able to send with no problem. I am running Blackberry Professional Software connected with our exchange server. No other user is having an issue. I have pulled the battery for a reset, but still no luck.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhile on a telephone call to tech support I needed to read an email that was to be sent to me by the tech. The email was sent but it did not show up on my blackberry until I ended the telephone call. Is this normal? While on the phone call I checked email online and the email message was there but did not show up on the phone.

I have been trying to text and receive texts from a friend in Norway. I know that we can both receive and send international texts because we text a mutual friend in Australia. I checked the participating carriers in Norway. His carrier, Netcom, is on that list. Now I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 and he has a Nokia. I'm not sure of the model.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had no problems until recently when I changed my email password and had to update my Bold settings for the new email password. Now when I send an invite from Calendar, it doesn't go out as a meeting invite, just text with no details of the meeting.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded my BB Bold 9700 (on Vodafone) to OS6 from OS5 and all meeting invites received now just appear as normal messages and not meeting invites. This means if I open the menu within the message there is no option to accept/decline the invite. This is the same if I open an entry in the calendar where I see the body of the calendar entry but the menu has no option for accept/decline.
When I was still on OS5 this worked perfectly and i was able to receive and respond to meeting invites. I've been through all the options that I can find on the handset and on BB Desktop as well but can't find anything that controls how calendar invites are received and processed.
The version number of the OS on the handset is 6.0 Bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546).
When I receive a meeting invitation sent from Microsoft Hotmail / Microsoft Windows Live Mail / Microsoft Outlook to my Google Gmail account, I am unable to accept or decline the invitation from the Android 4.0.4 Gmail App. The Gmail App displays the email message as having an ".ics" attachment. Clicking the ".ics" attachment opens the event in the Android 4.0.4 Calendar App. Unfortunately, neither the Gmail App nor the Calendar App provide a way to respond to the sender with an indication of accept or decline. Further, the event on the calendar loses the information about the event organizer and instead incorretly shows me as the creator of the event rather than as an attendee.
A related issue is that the Calendar App insists on storing the event on the "Device calendar." More information on saving the event to the default calendar is described in the post "Problem saving meeting invites on RAZR." Android Issue 1257, "Calendar should support opening iCal .ics files" is also relevant.
Is there any way to use the ATRIX HD in a way that is compatible with iCalendar (.ics) format invitations? Test System: Motorola Atrix HD, Android 4.0.4.
BlackBerry 9700
v6.0.0.461
I use Hotmail email I think this started to fail when I upgraded to the new OS. When I create a new Calender appointment, it no longer shows up in my hotmail calender. If I invite attendees, all they get is a blank email, they no longer get a proper meeting request in their Outlook inbox.
However, if they send me a meeting invite, it is properly recognized on my blackberry.
As best I tried scouring the internet looking at various BB forums, I went into options and deleted my Hotmail email account on the phone. I set it up again and it does not fix the problem. As far as I can tell, my hotmail account is a now typical account that has pop3 access.
EDIT: I removed the Hotmail account and added a GMail account. The GMail account workes totally fine with meeting invites. Also, after the creation of the GMail account, there is now a second inbox icon on my BB home screen. This icon is an envelope like the original one but also has a graphic of the world over-layed on top of it that resembles the Browser icon.
My 4 month old Blackberry Bold 9700 bought through Bell Mobility stopped working 2-3 weeks ago; was unable to send/receive calls or text even with the signal strength indicator showing full strength and the 3G symbol showing. Returned the phone to Bell Mobility for repairs and the phone was returned after about 2 weeks, but still not working. We could not find any scratch at all on the glass that covers the LCD display, and phone does not work, so have to wonder if they looked at the right phone. I Called the Bell Mobility service center, and they had the tech at the store reload the software again, third time this was done, still not working. Also reloading software on my phone apparently takes much longer than normal, about one hour.
Tech support at Bell finally told me the phone was not fixable, and gave me a ticket number to get a replacement phone through the Bell Mobility premium plan warranty I had purchased. Called thinking I would finally get a phone that works, but the insurance company that deals with the Bell Mobility warranty said that because the phone is under the one year manufacturers warranty they would not cover it, and it would cost me $150 if they were to replace the phone.
The customer service lady would not tell me what revisit means, but it seems to mean I will not be getting a working Blackberry any time soon. RIM also does not seem to offer or honor a warranty? I find it hard to believe that RIM offers no customer support or warranty on their Blackberry products, but could not find any information on a warranty in the booklets that came with the phone. Either way, the service rep at RIM told me they do not offer warranty repair services for their products and I would have to deal with the company that sold me the phone, Bell Mobility. These Blackberry phones are not cheap, so I cant really afford to buy a few of them for back up.
My iPhone 4S has been working on and off for as long as I've had it. There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts. When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens. When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.

My browser and email stopped working about 3 days ago and I spent almost a whole day on the phone with support, no help. They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. My phone is stuck on lower case edge and I cant get data.

View 10 Replies View RelatedBought an unlocked Storm 9530 yesterday and popped in my T-Mobile SIM card. I could text, but not place any calls. When I tried calling, I received a "No circuit/channel available". At the call screen I see a a phone number that isn't mine. After I gave up I turned off the phone for a while and let it charge. Upon booting up I got an error message and my SIM refused to work at all. It says SOS at the top right and even though my mobile network is on, it just doesn't do anything. I have the mode set to GSM/UMTS and 3G/2G. I can't even select a network manually. I get an error that says "Unable to acquire network."
View 8 Replies View RelatedBefore updating the Blackberry Storm to Version 5.0 I did a full backup of the device. Since the update I am unable to see any of the contacts in Blackberry Desktop Software on my Mac. I have tried a restore of just the 'Address Book - All' and still I can't see anything even though it states that there are 59 records.
Please tell me I haven't lost them all or whether I am doing something wrong.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI own an unlocked BB Storm (9530) and have been unable to send and receive MMS messages. Its now on AT&Ts Network and I talked to them about it they made it out to be that I needed a data plan. So they signed me up and I thought all was fixed. But I soon realized that was not the case. I cant even select to compose MMS text. I now have unlimited messaging and am on their BB data plan.
I have looked up on a lot of forums on what could be the problem and have d/l the service books and registered the HRTs and did a battery pull without any luck. I have noticed that I do not the MMS service books (MMS Client and MMS Transport). I was curious as to why I don't have them and if I could get them. Also during my last update (V5.0.0.328 Platform 4.2.0.128) I noticed I lost my browser icon. Was that supposed to happen or did I mess something up?
