Dec 8, 2014since upgrading to IOS 8, I am constantly getting warnings that from apps that mobile data is turned off. This happens when connected via WiFi and even when opening Settings - the place where you turn mobile data on and off! How can I disable this annoying alert and has a bug been submitted as it is incor behaviour to moan about mobile data when INET connectivity is present via WiFi.Â
BTW, this interface for this site is tragically bad when using an iPhone 5 in landscape mode. It doesn't "just work"

I jut happened to open my computer one day when I apparently had an event and it alerted me on my MacBook. I need it to alert me on my phone because I'm not always on my computer when I need to be alerted. Any know how to get the calendar to alert me on my phone?

Sep 10, 2014My iphone5 alerts are way too soft, and I can't hear them. The ringer is set to max, but I can't figure out how to set the calendar alerts to high. When I do a hard reset it works for a while (less than a day) but then goes way down in volume. I need a good, loud alert for appointments. I've set it to vibrate, but it's not always in a pocket so I can feel it. I think it started after the last iOS update, but it seems more recent than that.

Jun 23, 2014The calendar alerts have been deteriorating since my installation of Mavericks. It does not matter what I do, alerts are NOT working. This is immensely annoying. First I got double alerts, that were still sometimes working. Than I got single alerts that were rarely working. Now I have alerts that do not work EVER.Â

My phone vibrates, but I what I want is my chosen alert tone in my ear. When I get a phone call, I get the phone number read to me and the alert tone. I have tried turning the A2DP off and about a hundred other things.

Feb 12, 2010I just got my tour this week, and haven't been able to figure out how to just have vibration when I get emails without the ringtone or chime following after.And I'm talking about when the profile is not on Vibration. I just want the email notifications to be on vibrations when the profile is on active or loud or medium. I didn't have an issue with the Curve in doing this.What am I doing wrong?
I click Sounds Scroll down to ring tones/alerts click ringtones/alerts click messages.Then click the email I want to change the settings to and then I have the following settings:

Jul 25, 2011I have been trying to set custom ring tones for certain callers. I have tried changing the ring tone by going to Contacts, selecting the contact, and changing the ringtone listed under Custom Ring Tones/Alerts for the contact. My Sound and Alert Profile is set to normal. I have also tried going to Sound and Alert Profile and clicking on Change Sounds and Alerts. From there I have selected Sounds for Contacts and tried to Add Contact Alert. After doing this my phone still rings with the ring tone for the Normal Profile. How can I ensure that the ringtone for the custom alert comes up for these contacts?

Mar 31, 2015Since the lollipop update I can't turn off the "new sms message" on my radio while playing music through bluetooth. Before the update I could just turn my phone on vibrate or mute and the alerts wouldn't interrupt my music. I'll be singing along to a song when suddenly the music stops, an alert tone comes on and the "new sms message" pops up on my radio display. It's bad enough that half of my apps stop working randomly for no reason since the update.

Is it okay if i use my laptop to charge my phone everyday, will using my laptop harm my battery,note my laptop must be charging also in order for it to charge my phone. If i leave my phone pluged into my laptop does my phone overcharge or does it stop charging when it reches 100%. and will leaving it plugged in affect my battery in anyway? I have read that lithium batteries dont overcharge but i also read soemthing that said it will mess up your batter, and is it true that fully discharging it and fully charging all the time is bad? and i heard that i should partialy charge it sometimes not to kill battery life?

Feb 23, 2010My phone whistles softly and I don't know why. I think it might have something to do with it locking and unlocking? It didn't use to do this and only started when I set up my phone to receive my work emails. It's annoying because it makes a whistling sound even if the phone is on vibrate. I don't know how to change this setting and I'm not sure what even triggers it to make the whistling sound. I can't show my IT guy because I don't know what makes it whistle and he never seems to be around when it does whistle (he thinks I'm crazy now).

When I have a calendar event upcoming the notification alarm starts at the set time, but the alarm will continue until I press Stop or Snooze, which is a little bit disturbing if I'm in a meeting etc. Is there any setting so I only got a single notification signal/vibration and then the device stay quite when an upcoming calendar event (as many other devices do)? Nov 2, 2010I use gmail and google calendar on my blackberry. My work outlook syncs with google calendar and the BB syncs my calendar. That all works fine I also have an outlook web access connection to my work email.When I get work emails that are appointment invites they show up on the BB calendar. This happens even if I dont accept them. Just the fact that there is an email coming to by BB that is an invite gets them on my calendar. Then the next time my BB syncs with my Google calendar I end up with duplicate appointments for all items that I received invites for via my OWA account.Is there a way I can stop these work invites from ending up on my calendar. I just the OWA email. Even if the invites showed up in my BB message list that would be fine I just dont want them to make their way to my calendar.

This is far too short so I went to Calendar, Options, General Options and under Actions set the Default Reminder to 15 min and saved the change.When a reminder pops up the snooze time is still 5 minutes despite the change I made. Very annoying!What can be done to set the reminder time to anything other than 5 mins ? Have I changed the wrong field, or is this a bug?
