Nokia :: E72 Calendar To-Do Error / Reminder Alarm Rings Only Once
Jul 1, 2010On main page in Active Standby, it shows all To-Dos as pending including those from future as well, like it will say 10 pending tasks while actually 2 are pending while 8 are still from some future date. This was not an issue with my earlier 6120.
To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.

Aug 9, 2012I have a C5-00.2 device and confused about the calendar alarm function. When I have a calendar event upcoming the notification alarm starts at the set time, but the alarm will continue until I press Stop or Snooze, which is a little bit disturbing if I'm in a meeting etc. Is there any setting so I only got a single notification signal/vibration and then the device stay quite when an upcoming calendar event (as many other devices do)? Will this function depend on witch alarm sound is activated?

May 18, 2010I just bought 5530 Xpressmusic yesterday and new to smartphones/touchscreens. I have a question.Whenever the phone touch screen is locked, and if i get a call, i am not able to answer or reject it directly from touch screen, unless i manually unlock the screen using right side lever. Although i can see the Answer/Reject option in screen, when i touch them they don't work. Also the Green/Red options at bottom of touch screen are also not working.Similarly, when i set an alarm, i cannot snooze or stop the alarm immediately in touch screen when the alarm rings, unless i unlock the touch screen again manually.Can someone help how to get this working, or is it the design?

When a calendar event alarm surfaces on the touchscreen (new buttons in this firmware), if the keypad is locked, the touchscreen is unresponive when attempting to hit the STOP or SNOOZE button. Strangely, the calendar alarm recurs with the normal touchscreen message (old firmware) subsequently and is responsive to the buttons (despite a keypad lock). Please advise how I can eliminate one of the two repeat calendar alarms or make the new calendar alarm responsive to touch when my keypad is locked. I try to unlock the keypad and it does not work during this time.

Oct 16, 2011when I first got my Desire that entering an event in the calendar did not allow me to also add an alarm to that event; the most common thing I do in the calendar is to add various events at all different dates/times, say enter an appointment in three weeks time at 15:00 and set an alarm for 13:00 on that day.The stock calendar does not allow the alarm. Jun 4, 2014Before I got my iPhone I used my mobile phones (dumb, android, Symbian) to set an alarm with the calendar. I'm having a hard time properly doing so on my iPhone. My brain is lined with teflon and I forget a lot of stuff - up until now my mobile phones have been vital in remedying this.Â
Say that I have an important appointment at 14:00 two weeks from now, I punch it in the calendar on my iPhone and let it alert me an hour before the event. When the time comes my iPhone lets out a measly "beep" that no one hears and I miss the appointment - I can go entire work days without looking at my phone (and phone usage is strongly discouraged at my workplace) so this is really a big problem for me. So far I've missed a couple of important meetings, left important stuff undone and forgot to pick my kid up from kindergarten (my wife usually does, but there are those rare, calendar reminder occasions when I have to)!Â
On all the other phones I've owned I'd be able to set the calendar alarm so that it would go on and on and on until I reacted, thus minimizing the odds of me missing the alarm. How to make my iPhone do this.Â
Sure there are workarounds like making the calendar alarm go off a day before to remind me to create an actual alarm clock alarm for the day after but that really seems to be an uneccesary hazzle and a major design flaw - also, what if I'm really busy when the early reminder goes off and I forget to set the alarm? Or perhaps I should attempt to tame myself to constantly check my iPhone for possible alerts?

Motorola Photon 4G :: Number Of Rings Before Phone Actually Rings?
Nov 2, 2011Been a happy Sprint user since 2005 and have used various dumb phones and smartphones. The Photon is my 3rd Android.I have noticed that each phone , whether smartphone or not, has the same issue that has caused me to miss incoming phone calls here and there - the caller dials my number and hears several rings before my phone actually starts ringing. The phone goes to voicemail before I have the opportunity to answer the phone.The solution for my phones has always been to adjust the Slot Cycle index from the default setting of 2 to the setting of 0. This causes the phone to poll towers more frequently, thus the phone is more quickly aware of a new incoming call. The only negative implication is that the phone goes through battery a bit more quickly during the day...but it's really only a tiny difference. I've done this on my phones, on my spouse's phones, my mom's phone, etc.
Since the Photon's battery life is so much better than my prior phone (EVO 4G) I am very comfortable in adjusting the Slot Cycle index, so I obtained my MSL from Sprint and attempted the adjustment by going to the Dialer:##DATA# ->tap green Dial icon -> to the Data Settings menu...tap Advanced->From there you can see that the Slotted Index is set to 2. So I wanted to change the setting but can't get to it from Menu->Edit->enter MSL code->VerifyI called Sprint about this issue, and in the past they have helped me to change the setting. I have called more than once and have been dealing with the more advanced Tech Support team. No one at Sprint can figure out how to adjust this setting on the Photon.

BB Desktop Manager version: 5.0.1.37
Device: Curve 8900 4.6.1
Lotus notes version: 8.0.2
I use BIS with tmobile and have my gmail emails delivered to my device.I am doing a lotus notes one-way calendar sync with my BB calendar. I am able to do this successfully. But the alarm & free/busy thing does not sync.Even though I have alarm set in my notes which works perfectly and I see the notification 15 mins before the meeting on my PC. They don't show up in BB calendar. In BB Desktop Manager-> map fields, the notes 'notify me' is mapped to 'device alarm flag' but when I open the details of an entry that BDM is going to make in the accept/reject screen these fields are empty. I am using the default field mapping in the desktop manager.
All reminder works for the entries that I create directly in BB. The device calendar reminder is set properly. No issues there.What should I change in the desktop manager so that I get a reminder in my BB for the lotus notes entry?
