I have a desired alarm file in built-in alarm clock. However, it does not appear in the list of alarm in built-in calendar. Where and how can I use the same alarm file for my built-in calendar?
View 2 RepliesI am using the standard calendar app on 2.1 firmware and I cannot see any setting to set the alarm signal for when the calendar time/date has reached or will I have to download a third part app file to have a calendar with alarm signal? and preferably one where I can set my own mp3 sound as a calendar alert.

Since a few weeks I have the very odd effect, that the S-II's built-in Clock app's timer does not ring, when going off. It silently displays "Time's up" on screen, but doesn't sound nor vibrate. I do have set a sound in Clock => Timer => Menu => Settings => Alarm Tone and the volume is turned to 100%. I also have set all sounds in Home screen => Menu => Settings => Sound => Volume up to 100% but ther is not sound!t drives me nuts and makes the device practically useless as an alert device
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe is another "feature" of the SG-II's built-in email app that infuriates me regularly:Each time when the mail app reloads emails from the server, it deletes all previous mails from the inbox (be they read or unread). Thus, if one accidentally triggers two reload/refreshes in sequence (or has automatic mail downloads enabled) this causes the unread mails from (an) earlier refresh(es) to be silently deleted and to "disappear", before one has a chance to read them! This happened already a couple of times to me and this is really insane

Fortunately the phone was under warranty, but I lost all dataMy phone got upgraded to ICS. All was well for a week, now wht has happened is , that the phone hangs, most apps I open, hang and all though all messages are read it shows unread 1, also the message notification sound has gone although I receive notification sound for all the other things, like whtsapp, gmail, gtalk etc.

I still get the notification in the top left hand corner that the message has been received, I still have sound with incoming ringtone and my alarm sound is still working.I went into settings - sound - volume and it looks good.I went into messages - settings - select ringtone and it looks good.i received a text message and had sound and then downloaded an application and the next text message I received the sound had gone. I use a stock sound (knock) for all notifications but at what seems like random intervals it will switch on its own to "Pure Tone"...a sound which isn't even an option for me to choose as a notification sound.
"Pure Tone" continues to play until the offending notification is acknowledged. What is causing this to reset and how do I make it stop?

Every time I set an alarm, it goes off, but complelty silent. I keep my phone on mute at night because I don't want to hear anything. But the Alarm, used to go off even though on mute. Here what I've done so far.
Settings > Sound and Notification> Application Notifications > Clock > Priority (Set to On)
Settings > Sound and Notification> Application Notifications > Interruptions
Sound Mode = Mute
Set priority interruption period: Here, I selected every day, and start time of 12:00AM and a End time of 11:59PM.
I thought these settings would cover me, but the Alarm still, does not sound. How to get the Alarm working when the phone is set on Mute Mode?
I've noticed since the upgrade to ICS the battery full tone has stopped working. BTW only had the phone a week and the upgrade arrived a day ago. I've also noticed that the stock home switcher is now missing.

Ive tried saving loads of drafts but with the standard message system they all just filter down the message "conversation" list meaning if ive sent loads of texts i have to scroll for ages to find a message from the alarm and then enter it to send the draft.

My issue is that, when playing as an alarm, only 1 minute of the mp3 plays.
