I've noticed since the upgrade to ICS the battery full tone has stopped working. BTW only had the phone a week and the upgrade arrived a day ago. I've also noticed that the stock home switcher is now missing.

I still get the notification in the top left hand corner that the message has been received, I still have sound with incoming ringtone and my alarm sound is still working.I went into settings - sound - volume and it looks good.I went into messages - settings - select ringtone and it looks good.i received a text message and had sound and then downloaded an application and the next text message I received the sound had gone. Don�t know if this had anything to do with it or not or whether its just a coincidence.I would like my sound notification back on my SMS.

View 4 Replies View RelatedLast week I bought a S2 and the charging from the mains has been fine. I bought another S2 for my wife, and she put this on charge in the bedroom but after a few seconds of putting on charge the charge stopped and it said 'Battery Disconnected'. Tried with my charge which was plugged in and worked OK with mine and it said the same. Tried the charger in a different plug socket in another room and the phone didn't show the message and charged ok overnight. My phone charges OK from the bedroom, but the other doesn't, but it charges ok elsewhere so it can't be any issue with the plug sockets.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S2 and about a week before my contract expired I bought the Galaxy, all was well and everything worked and I was getting all my emails (I am on Gmail) direct to my phone and could view them using the Gmail icon on the front of the Galaxy. A few days ago my contract expired and I am now SIM only and everything has gone downhill since, basically push email has stopped, I have rung my provider and it's obvious that they don't know what they are doing because I have received about four or five different bits of advice/guidance from them and none of the options work. The first option was to set up another email address using the email icon on the Galaxy, I did this (with the same Gmail address) and it does work...but it's intermittent (the social hub is now showing this email address).The problem with this method is that I am sure that the two emails are clashing and push Gmail is still not working although I can retrieve emails via the refresh button (in other words pull email). Another member of staff at my provider claimed that he was an Android expert and he said that any emails sent to my Gmail account should be received by the phone, he added that the SIM card is irrelevant and that I should not have to have extra email bundles etc (which is apparently what I have right now although I did not ask for them). I have checked the manage applications route and I can't select a default email, the box is greyed out so it appears that neither of my email facilities have been selected as a default...is there a way to select default email? I reckon that I should delete the additional email account and try and get the push Gmail account working again....as I said both the accounts have the same email address. In addition although I have synched my calender no dates are showing on my Google email account on my PC, the dates were showing last week but nothing now, I have not changed any of my settings on my phone and the PC since the SIM contract started, apart from setting up another email account. Lastly I can't see a way to back up my phone on Kies Air (via Wi-Fi)..
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Japan, where I bought my SGS II from NTTdocomo, GPS was always working fine. But since I moved to Germany a month ago GPS has lots of problems. Google Maps as well as other map application seem not to be able to get a GPS fix:
- The map shows a location near me but not accurate.
- In Google Maps there is always a large circle around the location mark, indicating low accuracy.
- Even though I move my physical location, the location mark on the map doesn't update for a long time.
- MyTracks (by Google) constantly shows the message "Waiting for a better GPS fix".
Is my GPS sensor broken or could this be related to using a NTTdocomo branded SGS II in another country? All this is happening with a clearly visible sky.
Email was working fine prior to upgrading to ICS 4.0.4. Now my Samsung Galaxy S2 does not connect to my Apple Icloud account. I cannot get my emails pushed to my phone now.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter I updated my Samsung edge to lollipop 5.1.1 , it seems that the parallax effect or the 3D effect has stopped working. I know that if I hold on the home screen and click the wallpaper settings, I get a little toggle which switches the motion effect on/off. But what ever I do it still makes no difference to the home screen. it still stays the same. Is there something that I am missing or can I downgrade to lollipop 5.0?

I noticed this the other day after watching my Slingbox for over an hour, which should drop the battery way down, and it still said 100%. The "My Device" battery page also said 100%. I did a restart, and it instantly went to 47% and then continued to function normally. It's done this several times, and seems to get stuck only at 100%. Also, when in this mode, it won't charge. When I plug it in I get a message "Battery 100% charged
View 3 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 last week this has been the only changes on my iPhone 4 other then normal app updates. Last light I pluged in my device for charge as is normal. Today I woke up and the device indicated that it didn't charge and is showing that I have about 35% of the charge remanding. Pluged in the device to another charger / cord and while the battery charging icon shows that it was charging but after 2hrs I still only had 35%.

Since I just did a upgrade of Samsung Kies to (File name: Kies_2.5.0.12094_28_8.exe) everytime I start the application I get the error "Kies has stopped working, Close the Program". This happens whether or not I have the phone connected via USB. At first I had the problem to do with KiesPDLR has stopped working. I followed the advice of an uninstall and clean re-install and I think it worked a couple of times. Now it won't work at all, even after another clean install.The other symptom I get is that when I boot up my machine it says that Kies Air has stopped working (not that I'm using it).I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

Fortunately the phone was under warranty, but I lost all dataMy phone got upgraded to ICS. All was well for a week, now wht has happened is , that the phone hangs, most apps I open, hang and all though all messages are read it shows unread 1, also the message notification sound has gone although I receive notification sound for all the other things, like whtsapp, gmail, gtalk etc.

I use a stock sound (knock) for all notifications but at what seems like random intervals it will switch on its own to "Pure Tone"...a sound which isn't even an option for me to choose as a notification sound.
"Pure Tone" continues to play until the offending notification is acknowledged. What is causing this to reset and how do I make it stop?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi recently upgraded the iOS of my OLD 3GS device & to my nightmare it stopped working. Now i get "NO SIM ERROR", which doesn't allow me to do anything.
When i visited the local Apple store their response was pathetic, they tried selling me another 3GS. my phone was working fine until i decided to keep the OS up to date. Now i feel that was one of the biggest mistake as Apple doesn't take ownership of its own products, the tech support told me the same thing "when you upgrade iOS on an old device, you are basically doing it at your own risk" ... WOW, i was blown off. Now that my phone has stopped working i'm looking for a solution from apple else this is definitely going to be a serious matter.

I recently (Friday) updated my software to V6.0 Bundle 2647 as recommended by my PC.After installing the new software my phone registered on the network etc but my mail has stopped working.I can not connect to the to the email settings but can get into it via o2 website and all looks ok.Any ideas or should I roll back to the previous version ? if possible ?

Have tried pressing all the buttons but always have to wait until the call ends. This makes it worthless during calls, especially if there is an automated system. The only time it does work is when using Bluetooth.
