Oct 26, 2011I have mine set (checked) and ringer is on (not silent or vibrate) but I never get a notification sound when 100% charged.

Oct 10, 2011I just upgraded to the Bionic from the Droid X. I tend to leave the phone plugged into the charger all night while on my night table because I get called frequently during the night from work and need to respond immediately. Unlike the Droid X, the Bionic plays an alert tone and instruct you to unplug the charger once it is fully charged. This is rather anoying as it wakes me up.

Sep 15, 2011I've been using my Bionic for about 24 hrs now (pretty heavy useage) and only 3 items show up in the "Battery and Data Manager":
Southwest Airlines App (96%)
Cell Standby (2%)
Phone Idle (2%)
That's it. I've used about 30 different apps and I've had WiFi on and off, I've been on LTE and switched to CDMA only for a bit. I've tried out the GPS, used Google Talk, the browser and a bunch of other stuff that I know takes up battery life and I want to know what is killing the battery? Is there a fix for the Battery and Data Manager or somewhere else on the phone I can look for this info?
Motorola Droid Bionic :: Phone Storage Is Full
Jul 4, 2012As I was texting, a message popped up stating that my phone storage was full. I stopped and checked the storage and memory space to see that they were perfectly fine. I went back to send another text and the message popped up again, the message didn't send and when I tried to access my texting again, it force closed until I rebooted the phone. I am using the stock messaging app, but a different home launcher. I have not previously had problems with this in the past using this same launcher, and only had 38 conversations going (all with only a few texts in each). Does any have any idea as to the reason for this and how I could solve this issue?

Sep 26, 2011I just received my new Bionic yesterday, and it is loudly notifying me every time I receive an e-mail. I have been into settings and can't find any way turn notifications off. When I click "settings" under gmail, there is an option to turn off the icon in the status bar, but no way to turn off the sound.

Dec 1, 2011ok i am bored at work finished my stuff early i must kill 30 minutes. anyways i get on Internet to watch some hdnet fights my phone that im still waiting for its replacement to get here as usual battery down to 40% witih little use. i have to put it to charge im thinking cool the charging hookup is on the left side so i can lay phone on therightet side and watch videos cable pointing up. well it plays full screen upside down why put the usb port on the side and not let video play in full screen landscape mode with usb port facing up. is there a way to fix this because its so lame. i have to hold the phone rather than lat it there because the usb crable is in the way when trying to watch in landscape mode. in top of it my touchscreen is still acting erratic while charging.

Jun 3, 2012I am having a problem with my Droid Bionic. Whenever I try to view pictures, through the camera or gallery, I get an error message that reads, "Phone memory is full, not enough memory to start application. delete some files." Because of this, I have had no access to any of my pictures.
I have deleted many files and do not think there are more that can be deleted without losing things that I need. I have deleted some apps from the phone. How do I clear the cache on the phone?

Feb 6, 2012My battery is running very hot. Ususally when the battery is hot it will lose its charge rapidly.
How to determine which apps if any are the cause..
I dont believe its a faulty battery as I have a second battery and will have the same problem with that one.Yesterday I hardly used my phone. I was at home ( which is in a weak signal area) and when I checked the phone at around 8pm it was dead. Off with no charge left. Started the day with an overnight charge.
If the problem is an overactive app how can I find it and remove?

Jul 3, 2012I have the option selected, Options>Sound>. to notify when the battery is fully charged.I'm not getting a sound, a blinking LED, or anything in the status bar stating that the battery is charged as I did with GB. The only way I know it's charged is by going into options and checking the battery status under device options.The only change I have that I think could be affecting it is that I have the screen lock function turned off.

When I got off the flight, my phone wouldn't power up, so I found an outlet and found that I had no power. Jan 3, 2012Since .893 I've seen the % of battery used by 'Android OS' to be significantly higher than before. Previously (after 12 or more hours of uptime) I'd typically always have Display as the highest %. Now it's always Android OS. Right now I'm at 16 hours on battery and my Android OS is 64% at 44 min. My Display is only 7 min.
All the same apps since before .893 and no new ones. Factory reset has made no difference in this. if this is something known and to be addressed in .901 ?

Dec 15, 2011I used to get pretty good life out of my stock bionic battery. I updated the OTA update early today and since then the battery level has been going down at almost 10% every 30 - 40 mins. Following is the list in my battery usage queue. This is after I did a system reset and left my phone without any new apps (except for facebook).
Display 30%
Android System 17%
com.motorola.contacts 12%
Android OS 9%
com.motorola.home 8% ....
I am planning to charge it to 100% and then see how it behaves. Will keep this thread posted with stats from my phone.

Nov 24, 2011I've done some google searches and really haven't found a definitive answer on this. I've been getting more excited about jumping onto the 4G bandwagon in early 2012. But I'm "HEARING" that LTE introduces a significanly fastert battery Drain. I currently have a DROID X and am able to get though mots of a day w/o having to recharge - minimal Phone use (maybe 4 calls a day), mostly web browsing, social networks, messaging, etc.

Oct 23, 2012I finished installing ICS 3 hours ago. The problem was that my battery died during the time it was updating media database. Now, the battery will not charge. It says at 5%. If I am using my phone at all (i.e. just making folders) it heats up and dies/turns off. I've tried 2 different batteries and 2 different chargers with the same results. Also- 3 hours later and I still have no contacts and many apps no longer work (google voice).

Sep 24, 2011I got the battery dock on launch day.this morning I realized the battery issues I've been having are due to the dock not fully charging any of the batteries I have put into it! The dock charges them to 90% most of the time--even if they are in the charger for over 9 hours. I just discovered this problem this morning after removing an extended battery after 9 hours of charge, to find it only at 90%. I had the same issue the first day I bought the extended battery and had to complete the charge inside the phone. I also had been having trouble getting the standard batteries fully charged.
I'm going to exchange it at Verizon this morning, but I'm wondering if a new one will be any better.I use a Battery Indicator widget which shows the voltage--that helps me determine precisely how much charge is in each battery. The battery dock barely gets the batteries charged up to 4.1 volts, and sometimes less.they should be charged more than that, along with showing "100%" on the phone's status, of course.

Feb 10, 2012I've had my Bionic for a couple weeks now and love 99% of it. My problem is when I try to use hands free calling with my Clarion CX609 head unit, the microphone does not connect. I hear the call through the speakers as expected but the phone is still using the built in microphone. After the OTA release of 5.9.902 I still don't have connectivity to my external microphone.I had a Blackberry Tour and it connected and worked perfectly fine. I would think my Bionic would work in the same manner only better.

Jan 3, 2012So i am on my 4th bionic it seems that my signal is always weak. The signal bar in batter use stats is always yellow and grey rarely green. My battery dies faster after update 50% only 4 hours off charger. The thing getting to the most is when i pull phone out of pocket and unlock it the data never works i tried everything rebooting or airplane mode do not fix it. I usually have to pull battery. I did factory reset twice since update. Does this mean i have get #5 ordered for me?

Recently, my phone has been randomly shutting off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. It has also happened when the phone is on and I am charging it. My husband's phone has not randomly shut off at any time. I have downloaded a few apps which include Accuweather, Go SMS pro and PicSpeed Wallpaper. I also inserted my micro SD card from my old phone into the new phone which I just removed to see if the phone will randomly shut down. I also do not have the pocket detector on.
