How do I get my battery notification to come up when the battery is full?? I know it use to do that but now I can't find where it went to?
View 4 RepliesI just upgraded to the Bionic from the Droid X. I tend to leave the phone plugged into the charger all night while on my night table because I get called frequently during the night from work and need to respond immediately. Unlike the Droid X, the Bionic plays an alert tone and instruct you to unplug the charger once it is fully charged. This is rather anoying as it wakes me up.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the option selected, Options>Sound>. to notify when the battery is fully charged.I'm not getting a sound, a blinking LED, or anything in the status bar stating that the battery is charged as I did with GB. The only way I know it's charged is by going into options and checking the battery status under device options.The only change I have that I think could be affecting it is that I have the screen lock function turned off.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it me or does it seem that the battery graphic on the notification bar is not telling the true story? The phone (in settings) and widgets say 70% but the icon is in no way close to 3/4 full. It looks more like 90%. It always looks fuller then the battery truly is. I do understand that 70% can be anywhere between 70-79 but that's not close to what it shows on top. It's like Apple and the signal bars and how they showed higher then reality.

How to determine which apps if any are the cause..
I dont believe its a faulty battery as I have a second battery and will have the same problem with that one.Yesterday I hardly used my phone. I was at home ( which is in a weak signal area) and when I checked the phone at around 8pm it was dead. Off with no charge left. Started the day with an overnight charge.
If the problem is an overactive app how can I find it and remove?
I just had this happen yesterday. I was getting on a flight and powered off my phone. I had about 40% when I powered down. When I got off the flight, my phone wouldn't power up, so I found an outlet and found that I had no power. I know I powered it off, and so why would it be out of juice when it had battery left when I powered down?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince .893 I've seen the % of battery used by 'Android OS' to be significantly higher than before. Previously (after 12 or more hours of uptime) I'd typically always have Display as the highest %. Now it's always Android OS. Right now I'm at 16 hours on battery and my Android OS is 64% at 44 min. My Display is only 7 min.
All the same apps since before .893 and no new ones. Factory reset has made no difference in this. if this is something known and to be addressed in .901 ?
Anyone know of any cases that fit the droid bionic with the extended battery added on?

I updated the OTA update early today and since then the battery level has been going down at almost 10% every 30 - 40 mins. Following is the list in my battery usage queue. This is after I did a system reset and left my phone without any new apps (except for facebook).
Display 30%
Android System 17%
com.motorola.contacts 12%
Android OS 9%
com.motorola.home 8% ....
I am planning to charge it to 100% and then see how it behaves. Will keep this thread posted with stats from my phone.
Former OG user. Ran WIFI at home 24x7. Typically, wifi averaged about 2-3% of battery drain.
Got a Bionic this week, running Airplane mode at home , wifi on, disabled sleep policy. Look at these stats:
I've done some google searches and really haven't found a definitive answer on this. I've been getting more excited about jumping onto the 4G bandwagon in early 2012. But I'm "HEARING" that LTE introduces a significanly fastert battery Drain. I currently have a DROID X and am able to get though mots of a day w/o having to recharge - minimal Phone use (maybe 4 calls a day), mostly web browsing, social networks, messaging, etc.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi received my update last night and fully let my battery charge from 10 pm til about 6 this morning, i had light use watching a couple of Internet videos that were no more then like 3-4 mins and some light facebook use and by 11 im down to already 40 percent where as before i could use phone all day and still be about 40 percent by the time i got off around 5 pm.

I have the extended battery and it seems the only way to get a new one is to buy another battery. My back door barely stays on. Also, are there any plans on marketing skins for the external battery? This would make the phone feel more solid and protect the bezel from scratches.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI finished installing ICS 3 hours ago. The problem was that my battery died during the time it was updating media database. Now, the battery will not charge. It says at 5%. If I am using my phone at all (i.e. just making folders) it heats up and dies/turns off. I've tried 2 different batteries and 2 different chargers with the same results. Also- 3 hours later and I still have no contacts and many apps no longer work (google voice).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just put a hard case on my Bionic and I cant actually get it off that easily, so my question is when my phone freezes is there a battery pull shortcut like Power + volume up/down or something?its already happened once... had to take 2 spoons and a screwdriver to get the case open. and id rather not keep doing that so i dont break the case becasue its really good for my Bionic.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI got the battery dock on launch day.this morning I realized the battery issues I've been having are due to the dock not fully charging any of the batteries I have put into it! The dock charges them to 90% most of the time--even if they are in the charger for over 9 hours. I just discovered this problem this morning after removing an extended battery after 9 hours of charge, to find it only at 90%. I had the same issue the first day I bought the extended battery and had to complete the charge inside the phone. I also had been having trouble getting the standard batteries fully charged.
I'm going to exchange it at Verizon this morning, but I'm wondering if a new one will be any better.I use a Battery Indicator widget which shows the voltage--that helps me determine precisely how much charge is in each battery. The battery dock barely gets the batteries charged up to 4.1 volts, and sometimes less.they should be charged more than that, along with showing "100%" on the phone's status, of course.
I've been using my Bionic for about 24 hrs now (pretty heavy useage) and only 3 items show up in the "Battery and Data Manager":
Southwest Airlines App (96%)
Cell Standby (2%)
Phone Idle (2%)
That's it. I've used about 30 different apps and I've had WiFi on and off, I've been on LTE and switched to CDMA only for a bit. I've tried out the GPS, used Google Talk, the browser and a bunch of other stuff that I know takes up battery life and I want to know what is killing the battery? Is there a fix for the Battery and Data Manager or somewhere else on the phone I can look for this info?
I'm noticing that my battery life isn't what it seems to be after the upgrade.asically, I rarely check my battery status other than looking at the icon in the notification bar. Today, it clearly showed about 75%. I thought that was pretty good considering the phone was off the charger for about 20 hours (extended battery).I took a look at the battery status details and I see my battery is actually at 50%. The icon obviously is a limited indicator but I don't recall it being so far off prior to the upgrade. Has this changed or is it just that I'm remembering it "differently"?By the way, 73% was used by Android System and 50% (extended battery) after 20 hours of standby is still not good and not even close to specifications. Clearly this needs more work.

Recently, my phone has been randomly shutting off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. It has also happened when the phone is on and I am charging it. My husband's phone has not randomly shut off at any time. I have downloaded a few apps which include Accuweather, Go SMS pro and PicSpeed Wallpaper. I also inserted my micro SD card from my old phone into the new phone which I just removed to see if the phone will randomly shut down. I also do not have the pocket detector on.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm lucky that I live in an area where I have pretty consistent 4G service. My battery life with my Bionic seemed to be improving over time and prior to yesterdays update I was getting a good 12+ hours of regular life with a few bluetooth phone calls and regular push emails and by 7pm I would be at 40%. I thought that was pretty decent. Today after 4.5 hours I was down to 50% and now after 6.hours and 33 minutes I'm at 30%. In that interim period I have not made any phone calls, nor played any games, nor used the phone for anything other than checking my status of apps and battery life.
The one change I did notice was "wakelock" with the " " marks on the word included on the list of things using battery. When I queried this forum as to what this is, not an app I uploaded to the phone, I found out it is something that Moto added as a power management tool. There is no way for us that I can tell to manipulate this tool. I have a problem with having a tool put on my device that slows my battery and I can't either delete it or manipulate it. I won't root my phone.
I think it's nearly unanimous that LG and AT&T have ruined the lock screen notifications with the 5.01 update. Here is something else that's beyond annoying. When it's charging and hits 100%, it will give a battery full notification and a sound with it. Then a few minutes later it will give it again, and again, and again.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter about a month, my new iPhone 5s has started waking me up at night with an audible tone and vibrating. This seems to happen when the battery reaches 100% charge. Since iOS 7 apparently doesn't have a full battery alarm I stumped about how to disable this. I've thought about using the "Do no disturb" mode but I sometimes use my phone as my alarm and don't want DND to also silence the alarm. Is there some feature I don't know about that I could turn off to stop these nightly disturbances? (It hasn't always done this but just started about a week ago!)

Since the upgrade to GB, I get a lot of notifications, some I can't tell why. One that I know of, when the phone reached full charge, I get the notification, sometimes 2 or 3 times. How to turn these off, was not happening in FROYO.

If I put it on charge, there is no sign of charging and moreover the battery was full. How to resolve this. My iPhone 4 has suddenly shut without any notification. The battery was also full.

When I look at the battery use in Settings/Battery Information it shows items such as WIFI at 4+% ( WIFI not even on) or a game I played (today Jewels Star at 25% - only was to make this one disappear is to uninstall the program, this is true with any game I play). My question is, is this information about what WAS running or information on what IS running. or both.
