I just got an iPhone 4 a week back. I took a call today and post that my phone has shut down on its own. If I put it on charge, there is no sign of charging and moreover the battery was full. How to resolve this. My iPhone 4 has suddenly shut without any notification. The battery was also full.

I have just purchased my new Nokia N97 Mini phone within two months. Unfortunately, I had three times for not start-up failure of my phone. After I charged up the battery of my phone fully, my phone was suddenly shut it down. Afterward, I could not start up the phone with 'Nokia' word white screen only.
I went to Nokia Care Centre for repairing three times, but they could not find the root cause. Even they changed with the motherboard of my phone.
my BB curve 8520 just shut off by itself and the battery was half full.i took it out to reboot it the red lite went on and the down load bar stuck half way to the end and froze.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter about a month, my new iPhone 5s has started waking me up at night with an audible tone and vibrating. This seems to happen when the battery reaches 100% charge. Since iOS 7 apparently doesn't have a full battery alarm I stumped about how to disable this. I've thought about using the "Do no disturb" mode but I sometimes use my phone as my alarm and don't want DND to also silence the alarm. Is there some feature I don't know about that I could turn off to stop these nightly disturbances? (It hasn't always done this but just started about a week ago!)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI think it's nearly unanimous that LG and AT&T have ruined the lock screen notifications with the 5.01 update. Here is something else that's beyond annoying. When it's charging and hits 100%, it will give a battery full notification and a sound with it. Then a few minutes later it will give it again, and again, and again.

The only way I know it's charged is by going into options and checking the battery status under device options.The only change I have that I think could be affecting it is that I have the screen lock function turned off.

I just upgraded to the Bionic from the Droid X. I tend to leave the phone plugged into the charger all night while on my night table because I get called frequently during the night from work and need to respond immediately. Unlike the Droid X, the Bionic plays an alert tone and instruct you to unplug the charger once it is fully charged. This is rather anoying as it wakes me up.

I was charging my phone while using it and it suddenly shut off. Whenever I try to turn it on the welcome screen "samsung powered by android" comes up for 1 second and then goes black and nothing else happens. I've had the phone for about 8 months and never rooted or installed any software other than official updates. I was just playing a game while it was charging when it stopped working.
every combination of buttons i press even the factory reset gives the same result, the welcome screen for 1 second and then nothing. I was able to get to the OS change warning screen though but when i cancel it goes back to the welcome screen problem. Charging it shows the charging symbol going on and off every second.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a dedicated BB users and have been using many models over the years, but this is the first annoying problem i encounters with the 9700.i bought 2 tMo 9700 last week for me and my wife. when i got home, i updated the os of my 9700 to .586
the problem started when the battery level reach 40%. whenever i'm in a call or the bb in keypad lock mode, it suddenly shut off itself. and then i can't turned it on unless i plugged in the charger. but after it turned on, i can unplugged the charger and the bb would be normal until the battery reach 0%.
i thought i was a battery problem with my 9700, so i tried using my wife battery, and it was still the same problem coming out. so then i thought it was an OS problem, so i upgrade it to .593, and it still gave me the same problem. then i tried downgrade it to .578, and it still the same.then my guess was it was a faulty 9700. but i tried the software upgrade to my wife's BB and then she had the same problem as i am.
what's wrong with our 9700's? can anyone help us? i have been looking all over the internet but found no solution.we have the same apps installed beside add ons: ubertwitter, opera mini, google sync, googlemaps,foyage, blackcorpo theme.
I did SSH my iphone using DISKAID, and in DISKAID there's this random glitch where sometimes when you're renaming a file it will name the whole folder the new name, and it happened to me with the MobileSMS.app folder, but i changed it back and didn't notice any problem. about an hour later i get a text (sound works), and while typing my reply the SMS app froze (if it's any clue it was during the magnifying glass thingy was on). I went in and out of the app using home button (multitasking enabled) but it wouldn't unfreeze so i rebooted the phone and it came back normal. but since then- no incoming SMS sound!
What's even weirder than that is the fact that even if i'm going to SETTINGS SOUNDSNEW TEXT MESSAGE and tap the different ringtones I don't get any sound!
Oh - another clue:
During my browsing through the phone's file system I did find another "ringtones" folder somewhere and deleted them all except for two - but as far as I know the call ringtones and the SMS ringtones are never in the same folder.. still, could I have deleted the SMS ringtone files? that would make pefect sense but.. is it even possible? or could it be something I accidently changed in the MobileSMS.app folder?

i have a battery issue with my iphone 5 after the 8.1.1 upgrade. The phone started to shut down at 20-30% battery. Then i try a restore. Then i saw a post by Lawrence Finch advising to drain out all the battery and wall charge it for 4 hours. I did. It was almost one hour charging to turn back on. This changed the behavior and it kind did solve the problem because after this i saw my battery going 100 to 1% in 8-10 hours without any over use. NOW the situation is when arrived to 1% it stucked there. Im on full bright, wifi on, 7 apps open (facebook, minions game, etc) and it won't turn off.

i have a blackberry bold 9700 v 5.0.0.862 ( bundle 1446, platform 5.1.0.175 I fully charged my battery monday night, unplugged it before going to sleep.When i woke up the phone was turned off, when i turned on i got a white screen with a battery with a red line through it but no blackberry loading screen.I didn't know what was wrong so i plugged phone in to charge a bit. when there was no change i unplugged it and held the power button. After many many many attempts to turn it back on finally i got the BB loading screen.The battery had full power when I finally got it turned back on.I used the phone throughout the day but come suppertime the battery was still full so i went to a friends. Halfway through dinner the phone displayed " BATTERY DRAINED TURNING OFF HANDHELD " .
Got home plugged in, turned back on and battery was 50%. I charged it to 100% and unplugged it before going to sleep. Woke up this morning to ringing phone i answered it had the chance to say hello then it displayed " BATTERY DRAINED TURNING OFF HANDHELD " !!! Went to turn back on got the battery screen again , finally after an hour or more of trying to turn back on it finally loaded and guess what?? I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1. Today I left the house at 8:30 am with 100% battery. I had a breakfast meeting and put my phone on the table while we ate and did not use it. By 10:00 my battery was down to 3%. On other occasions, the phone shuts itself down while there's still 30% power, and I have to plug the phone into a charger to get it to restart. When it restarts, it shows >30% battery. I've been struggling with both issues for months (as have numerous friends with iPhone 4, 5 and 5s). I do not believe it is a hardware issue, but rather, an issue with iOS 7, which is when the problems began for me. My old iPhone 4 running iOS 6 would go an entire day of heavy use on a single charge (and usually had juice to spare). There is a serious power management problem with iOS 7 and I'm deeply disappointed that Apple hasn't addressed it. Â
You can conserve battery life by switching off cellular data, closing apps every time you finish using them, and other tricks mentioned by users here, but then the phone doesn't function as advertised and is no longer a smart phone. It is unreliable and essentially useless as a business device. iPhone is advertised has having 10 hours talk time and 10 hours cellular data. It doesn't even come close. I encourage everyone to contact Apple directly to address this problem. Something tells me Steve Jobs never would have let this happen.Â
Ever since I've downloaded the iOS update, the battery drains much faster. When I turned on my iPhone 5, even when it's at 90% and after a minute or so, it drops to half or sometimes to 30%. Then after using a camera to take a picture or to do nothing, my iPhone unexpectedly shuts off and says I need to recharge it. Sometimes after five minutes or so, I turn it on with no problem or when I plug it in to charge it, the battery would say 30 or so percent charge. Even if I have background apps that are turned off, the battery still drains like crazy.Â
