Screen capture has stopped working on my sg2,if I hit home and power the task manager pops up?I did download Go sms pro but their screencapture would only work on their pages??and the original screencapture ceased working;I've removed Go sms pro in case that was causing an issues but as I said the screencapture is still not working>

I still get the notification in the top left hand corner that the message has been received, I still have sound with incoming ringtone and my alarm sound is still working.I went into settings - sound - volume and it looks good.I went into messages - settings - select ringtone and it looks good.i received a text message and had sound and then downloaded an application and the next text message I received the sound had gone. Don�t know if this had anything to do with it or not or whether its just a coincidence.I would like my sound notification back on my SMS.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S2 and about a week before my contract expired I bought the Galaxy, all was well and everything worked and I was getting all my emails (I am on Gmail) direct to my phone and could view them using the Gmail icon on the front of the Galaxy. A few days ago my contract expired and I am now SIM only and everything has gone downhill since, basically push email has stopped, I have rung my provider and it's obvious that they don't know what they are doing because I have received about four or five different bits of advice/guidance from them and none of the options work. The first option was to set up another email address using the email icon on the Galaxy, I did this (with the same Gmail address) and it does work...but it's intermittent (the social hub is now showing this email address).The problem with this method is that I am sure that the two emails are clashing and push Gmail is still not working although I can retrieve emails via the refresh button (in other words pull email). Another member of staff at my provider claimed that he was an Android expert and he said that any emails sent to my Gmail account should be received by the phone, he added that the SIM card is irrelevant and that I should not have to have extra email bundles etc (which is apparently what I have right now although I did not ask for them). I have checked the manage applications route and I can't select a default email, the box is greyed out so it appears that neither of my email facilities have been selected as a default...is there a way to select default email? I reckon that I should delete the additional email account and try and get the push Gmail account working again....as I said both the accounts have the same email address. In addition although I have synched my calender no dates are showing on my Google email account on my PC, the dates were showing last week but nothing now, I have not changed any of my settings on my phone and the PC since the SIM contract started, apart from setting up another email account. Lastly I can't see a way to back up my phone on Kies Air (via Wi-Fi)..
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Japan, where I bought my SGS II from NTTdocomo, GPS was always working fine. But since I moved to Germany a month ago GPS has lots of problems. Google Maps as well as other map application seem not to be able to get a GPS fix:
- The map shows a location near me but not accurate.
- In Google Maps there is always a large circle around the location mark, indicating low accuracy.
- Even though I move my physical location, the location mark on the map doesn't update for a long time.
- MyTracks (by Google) constantly shows the message "Waiting for a better GPS fix".
Is my GPS sensor broken or could this be related to using a NTTdocomo branded SGS II in another country? All this is happening with a clearly visible sky.
After I updated my Samsung edge to lollipop 5.1.1 , it seems that the parallax effect or the 3D effect has stopped working. I know that if I hold on the home screen and click the wallpaper settings, I get a little toggle which switches the motion effect on/off. But what ever I do it still makes no difference to the home screen. it still stays the same. Is there something that I am missing or can I downgrade to lollipop 5.0?

View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I've never dropped my s6 edge. It's only 20 days old in fact. However today all of a sudden the touch screen will not work. The two bottom buttons work as does the fingerprint work so I can unlock the phone and see the home screen but not do anything else. Typically if battery pull to fix something like this, however of course this is not possible on the s6.
So I've held the power button for 30 secs and it won't turn off cos it wants me too press the screen power off button, I've tried restarting it by booting it into download mode.
Since I just did a upgrade of Samsung Kies to (File name: Kies_2.5.0.12094_28_8.exe) everytime I start the application I get the error "Kies has stopped working, Close the Program". This happens whether or not I have the phone connected via USB. At first I had the problem to do with KiesPDLR has stopped working. I followed the advice of an uninstall and clean re-install and I think it worked a couple of times. Now it won't work at all, even after another clean install.The other symptom I get is that when I boot up my machine it says that Kies Air has stopped working (not that I'm using it).I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

This morning the screen was blank, but everything is working fine, the keys and numbers light up blue and the touch also works, note: the screen has two small cracks too. Ive had no problems with my sgs2 since getting it apart from battery life being very poor and only lasting a day at work, so a friend told me to turn on the power saving, i cudnt get along with that as i like my phone bright and fast...so i turned it off.
Since doing this my emails no longer update unless i click refresh in the gmail app? im no longer getting notifications for new emails and i cant find any setting to stop this?
I recently upgraded from Gingerbread to ICS and had battery life and overheating issues. I was told by Samsung to do a drain the battery, recharge to 100% and then to a factory reset. I followed these instructions, but now I get the following message on my screen: "Unfortunately, twlauncher has stopped"I can no longer use the phone or reinstall my data from KIES (Kies does not even recognize that my phone is connected). I have tried to reboot in Safe Mode and do a factory reset, wipe cache, and reboot from there, but i still get the same error message about the stopped twlauncher. my phone is unlocked (International European version GT-i9100) and was rooted using SU-Busybox and Recovery Clockwork Touch.
View 9 Replies View Relatedever since I bought my Samsung Galaxy S II 4 months ago If I connected my laptop the phone would enter 'PC mode' or would say 'PC mode only available when idle' and I would have to close whatever was running at the time, this worked fine for connecting to Kies and syncing my contacts, calendar and updating the firmware etc. For the past week whenever I connect it to a laptop (tried 2) the phone only chargers via USB so I can't get it to work with Samsung Kies. I have tried enabling/disabling USB debugging in the options to no affect. I tried a factory reset assuming that would sort it out and it just the same! how annoying.

I bought another S2 for my wife, and she put this on charge in the bedroom but after a few seconds of putting on charge the charge stopped and it said 'Battery Disconnected'. Tried with my charge which was plugged in and worked OK with mine and it said the same. Tried the charger in a different plug socket in another room and the phone didn't show the message and charged ok overnight. My phone charges OK from the bedroom, but the other doesn't, but it charges ok elsewhere so it can't be any issue with the plug sockets.

I am pretty IT savvy so I googled the heck out of the issue. Here are the things I have tried. I started by going into Settings > Storage > Applications and cleared Data/Cache of several contacts related apps.I disabled the Google + app completely.I disabled all contacts syncing of all accounts and re-enabled.I made sure all apps are fully updated, even though when the problem first started all apps were out of date. Additionally, firmware is fully updated.Finally, I held volume up, power, and home button and wiped android cache partition.
My E72 has started playing up recently. First it wouldn't recognize when I remove/insert earphones and would permanently think earphones were in, so couldn't make calls etc because I wouldn't be able to hear anything. Now the screen seems to have stopped working. I get lights on the keypad and can connect it to my pc but can see nothing on the screen, is completely blank. I noticed just before this happened it would seem to struggle to come off screen saver when I unlocked the keypad i.e. would take a long time and the screen would look messed up for a few seconds before coming round. I'm also pretty sure i've noticed a red light flash where the flash is once or twice since its stopped working.
I tried updating firmware to sort the earphone problem and the screen has died since then. Tried hard resetting to to avail. Have only got this phone relatively recently to replace another nokia that failed... really not happy about this...
I dropped my phone (n85) and found out that my phone's capture key was detached and missing. Its so tiny and I can't find it anymore! THe capture key is only key that I could use to capture an image on my phone. Now I can't use the camera of my phone anymore. Is there any other key or way so I could still capture an image on my phone?or do i have to buy that tiny spare part just so i can still use the camera of my phone?

This was working fine, and now all of a sudden, probably after an update, it stopped. I cannot get the phone to even begin a USB connection to my PC, only charges. I've tried fiddling with every setting imaginable. Incredible frustrating that the simplest things will not work on this phone.
