Jun 15, 2015I rinsed my phone under the tap today because someone got chocolate icing on the screen. I didn't submerse it in water and i haven't dropped it. I simply ran it under the tap for no more than 5 seconds then dried it on my shirt and now the touchscreen doesnt work.

I made sure the flaps were closed and i've checked the indicators, on both sides they are yellow/white and not pink.

I'm trying a repair through the computer as restarting the phone has done nothing.
Xperia PLAY :: Touchscreen And USB Connection Stopped Working
Apr 28, 2012I recently dropped my phone about 2 feet and the screen cracked a bit in the upper right-hand corner. The phone has been fine for about a week since the incident, no problems at all. Yesterday I noticed there was some slight bugginess with regards to the touchscreen. I turned it off then back on, and it began to be unresponsive entirely, so I put the phone away and ignored it for a minute. I try again and it works just fine. A few minutes later, the same issue happened again, but I had no luck just ignoring it. I am unable to unlock my phone at all. I can still navigate through the power options just fine using the d-pad. I tried connecting it to a computer and to a power source and had no luck with that either. The phone won't charge and won't mount on a computer.

Aug 27, 2012I plugged my x10 into my Macbook Pro with Sony Bridge for Mac installed and the touchscreen suddenly stopped working. When I unplugged the cable the touchscreen remained unresponsive but then after a while it became responsive for half a minute before going off again. All this time the phone keeps telling me I've got new email coming through but I don't know where that email is. Now I'm getting texts but I cannot read them.
How can I get my touchscreen to work again? This appears to be a software problem? Can I read or export SMS messages without using the touchscreen?
I would erally need to back up my SMS if I need to wipe the phone but so far have not found a way to do this. I have never updated the system of the phone so I assume it's still in the original factory OS.

Apr 18, 2010I just got the Samsung Rogue and after using it till the battery drained. I turned off the phone and started charging it. After about 2 hours when I went to check the phone it had on the display the charging display but it was locked and would not disappear at all. I had to take out the battery for a minute and put it back in. Then when you place it back on charge it continues where it left off at. Is this a problem with this phone? Is there something that can be done.

Jun 21, 2011I have a Galaxy S2 and about a week before my contract expired I bought the Galaxy, all was well and everything worked and I was getting all my emails (I am on Gmail) direct to my phone and could view them using the Gmail icon on the front of the Galaxy. A few days ago my contract expired and I am now SIM only and everything has gone downhill since, basically push email has stopped, I have rung my provider and it's obvious that they don't know what they are doing because I have received about four or five different bits of advice/guidance from them and none of the options work. The first option was to set up another email address using the email icon on the Galaxy, I did this (with the same Gmail address) and it does work...but it's intermittent (the social hub is now showing this email address).The problem with this method is that I am sure that the two emails are clashing and push Gmail is still not working although I can retrieve emails via the refresh button (in other words pull email). Another member of staff at my provider claimed that he was an Android expert and he said that any emails sent to my Gmail account should be received by the phone, he added that the SIM card is irrelevant and that I should not have to have extra email bundles etc (which is apparently what I have right now although I did not ask for them). I have checked the manage applications route and I can't select a default email, the box is greyed out so it appears that neither of my email facilities have been selected as a default...is there a way to select default email? I reckon that I should delete the additional email account and try and get the push Gmail account working again....as I said both the accounts have the same email address. In addition although I have synched my calender no dates are showing on my Google email account on my PC, the dates were showing last week but nothing now, I have not changed any of my settings on my phone and the PC since the SIM contract started, apart from setting up another email account. Lastly I can't see a way to back up my phone on Kies Air (via Wi-Fi)..

Nov 1, 2011In Japan, where I bought my SGS II from NTTdocomo, GPS was always working fine. But since I moved to Germany a month ago GPS has lots of problems. Google Maps as well as other map application seem not to be able to get a GPS fix:
- The map shows a location near me but not accurate.
- In Google Maps there is always a large circle around the location mark, indicating low accuracy.
- Even though I move my physical location, the location mark on the map doesn't update for a long time.
- MyTracks (by Google) constantly shows the message "Waiting for a better GPS fix".
Is my GPS sensor broken or could this be related to using a NTTdocomo branded SGS II in another country? All this is happening with a clearly visible sky.

Aug 23, 2015After I updated my Samsung edge to lollipop 5.1.1 , it seems that the parallax effect or the 3D effect has stopped working. I know that if I hold on the home screen and click the wallpaper settings, I get a little toggle which switches the motion effect on/off. But what ever I do it still makes no difference to the home screen. it still stays the same. Is there something that I am missing or can I downgrade to lollipop 5.0?

This happens whether or not I have the phone connected via USB. At first I had the problem to do with KiesPDLR has stopped working. I followed the advice of an uninstall and clean re-install and I think it worked a couple of times. Apr 5, 2010I have been given a faulty Samsung Tocco F480 if I can fix it, its mine basically. It starts up fine, screen display is crystal clear, it vibrates when starting and plays the startup tone but the touch screen will not function at all. The person who gave me it took it a mobile repair shop and asked how much it would be for a new screen, £45 they quoted but he's unsure if that was for the LCD screen or touchscreen. They then looked at it and said it was water damaged and the motherboard/circuit board would need replacing too! Now I've had this phone to bits and the water mark indicators inside the Tocco casing as well as on the battery were both white so I dont think it is water damaged. I think it could just do with a new Digitalizer Touchscreen casing as if the circuit board was to fault surly the LCD screen or vibrate motion would be effected. I've done some reasearch and a lot of Samsung Tocco phones with similar probs like mine just need a new Digitalizer when the touchscreen isnt working and that works fine after.

The phone is not stable and I frequently experience incoming/outgoing call failures and touchscreen failures. I do not even load my phone with any additional softwares and I do not use it for browsing internet, and yet the software and motherboard is not stable. The frequent malfunction of this phone has caused a lot of problems and inconveniences to my business trips. Also it is embarrassing when my business partners find out that my expensive phone is not working. This is my first and last Samsung phone.....

Dec 17, 2012Bought a SK17i about 1 year ago, I was perfectly happy.. Then after some time the touchscreen responded slower as normal. Helpdesk advised to do system update. Problem seemed solved, but returned after some time again. I removed pictures and movies and emptied out the inbox, phone worked normal. Last month it just failed on me, it just stopped working.. I get no respons from the touchscreen, tried recalibrating & system update & even hard reset ( advised by sony helpdesk) without result! When I slide it open to use the keyboard, the display flips and I can navigate with the arrows ect so the phone seems still fully functional except for the touch screen
