I have a Rogue on Verizon now. Verizon put the data block on it for me but that takes away the flexibility of using it when needed. I am also thinking about switching to Page Plus so definitely want to know how to turn data on/off from the phone.
I just got the Samsung Rogue and after using it till the battery drained. I turned off the phone and started charging it. After about 2 hours when I went to check the phone it had on the display the charging display but it was locked and would not disappear at all. I had to take out the battery for a minute and put it back in. Then when you place it back on charge it continues where it left off at. Is this a problem with this phone? Is there something that can be done.
i want to download some games/apps, but i don't want to pay monthly subscription. How do i transfer apps and games that i downloaded into Rogue? And how do i also tranfer my MP4 file videos? I have usb drive, but i don't know how to do it unless using bitpim, but bitpim does not support rogue yet
I see that my phone is a flash lite enabled device, but how would i go about adding flash lite applications to it? I'm familiar with bitpim and i have a microsd card, i've also copied some ringtones and all that is working. I was just wondering how to load flash apps, because i see a bunch available online.

I have a Samsung Rogue I got in Feb. And I am trying to get the music to work on it. I was able to upload music to the phone but everytime I click the My Music button my phone freezes, and I cant even turn if it off by pressing and holding the end button. I got a Samsung Rogue for Christmas and the user's manual is not very helpful. I setup the mobile email for my yahoo account but can't figure out how to open jpg files that are either attached or emedded in the email. Also is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen, it takes a lot of pressure to select the options.
how do I disable data completely avoid data usage and only keep wifi. I have Background Data in Off and wi-fi connected, but I still getting charged for data usage.
i want to know how can i disable All Data transfer and Data roaming on my E72 when i change of country?on my old blackberry , i had the option : Data disable : yes/no
so i check on user manuel that i can use Single mode on network parameter and put it only in GSM . But when i try to use the web or ovi the system ask my to connect my internet and it's work , but i'm always in GSM mode , so i suppose that GSM mode cannot the good option for disable ALL DATA TRAFFIC.
I hope this hasn't already been asked. I have a limited amount of data on my plan, therefore do not want my apps to be using data all the time. For example, I do not want facebook to check for notifications every 30 seconds, but I would like to be able to manually click on the facebook app and check my notifications. I am finding it rather annoying to have to turn my data off all the time, then turn it on when I want to use an app.Other phones I have had gave me the option to "disable background data", can I do this on the BB Bold 9900?
Where I can turn this setting off. It's the symbol of a leaf in the top left corner in the notification bar of the included screen shot. It says background data restricted tap to disable. This just started showing up and I can't figure where the setting can be found.
One day I recharge my prepaid to $20. Next day I woke up and find out android OS has used all my data! I did search about this and alot of people is having this too. But can't find any solution.
Is there any way to disable data packet? Because I want to disable it to prevent me from data cost, but allow me to use MMS. In manual, it didn't had any instruction to disable it. If there is no way to disable it, how do I delete data profiles? Because it has 3 profile, MMS, WAP and internet.
I know this has been asked before about other devices, but I have not been able to find a solution anywhere.
When turning off mobile data, each time I get a warning that reads "Unless you use Wi-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require a data connection."
I turn mobile data off and on frequently throughout the day. This message has become gradually more annoying. I think it is bad UX and at the very least, there should be a way to disable it.
I am on the Mobilicity network which has a bit spotty coverage in some areas and the phone can roam several times a day for a short time when traveling about the city or when on the edge of coverage. My Mobilicity plan has unlimited data while in their native network but the roaming rates for data are extremely high. It is surprising how quickly the charges add up when out of coverage for a very short time. Selecting Disable Data While Roaming turns off the BB data while roaming, but not WAP data. I would like to automatically disable ALL data while roaming so that when out of coverage there will be no data charges but when back in coverage the phone will have access to all data services. I realize that the phone could be set to the Mobilicity network only but I wish to be available by phone and SMS, even when out of Mobilicity coverage. I would like the operation to be automatic since this situation is not quite the same as going for an international trip and it is impractical / incovenient to manually turn the data services on and off manually throughout the day.Is there a setting in the 9780 or a connection manager app that would take care of all of the data connections while going in and out of roaming?

i've got this "H" icone above a a up and down arrow and i want to disable it for ever! i do use internet through wifi all the time and this icon pops in when i turn off wifi/bluetouth/gps. on the motorola galaxy something i've seen an option that disable this 3G thing but i can't find it on the defy.
In Android 2.1, more specifically the Backflip running it, how can you disable the data connection completely. Don't suggest APNDroid or similar app. I want something simple and built in, like dial a number and go through a menu.
is there any way to get rid of rogue email addresses that appear in the dropdown selection when I create an email? There are random entries in there which aren't in my contacts.
Over the last couple weeks I've started seeing my LED light blink at me as though there is a notification waiting, but will find upon unlocking my phone that there is apparently no notification waiting for me in the status bar. Is anyone else seeing this?
My mom just got a new phone. It is a SGH-A777. She doesn't really know how to use the phone and often accidentally open the internet. So we get charged for the unintended internet use. Is there anyway to disable the internet on the phone?
Is there a way to disable APN without disabling data traffic? I have seen some different apps doing it, but how can I do it manually? I ask because I only use wifi and not 3G.
I just upgraded my Xperia Mini from Gingerbread (Gb) to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Recently, i'm facing some difficulties where my Data Traffic suddenly disable after i close my browser or any app.Fyi, i used packet data and i leave my phone connected to the internet without restriction in case ther is any update / email / notification pop up. So now, when this things occurs, i have to enable back my data traffic everytime it disable.
This message is useful once, and then becomes pointless and annoying. I'm not going to install an SD card, and I'm not going to delete data when I still have multiple GB free. How to disable this silly message....
How can I disable my iphone 3gs so that I can't incur charges for data usage? My son has used up $30 in 2 days playing apps we've already installed. It must be data usage charges from the provider. I want to disable internet so he just plays the apps already on the phone without accessing anymore data.
As hard as I try not to I still accidentally hit those web access buttons. I try to remember to hit the end button every time I put the phone down, but I keep racking up internet access time. Three hours at on time and many other shorter instances as well. I know this is one of the main design features of this phone, but it's not the reason I bought it. I liked the other features on the phone and figured there would be an easy way to disable web access.
Id like to know how to disable the 3G in my corby pro in hopes of conserving battery life. I tried some admin codes to enter service menus but they dont seem to work. my phone is currently locked to rogers.I dont have a data plan or need one. it has wifi so i can still connect to the net. Is there any point of keeping it activated, just seems like it would be using up battery life.
