My mom just got a new phone. It is a SGH-A777. She doesn't really know how to use the phone and often accidentally open the internet. So we get charged for the unintended internet use. Is there anyway to disable the internet on the phone?
how do i block my kid's iphones from accessing any internet browser. i have already turned safari "off" and Internet "off" and password protected restrictions setting. can they access the internet via any apps? seems there is always a work around for them to get to inappropriate sites. i have the age limit set on the device, too.
I have bought a C2-01 phone for use away from my home country and wish to disable all access to the internet as it would be extremely expensive. In Menu/Settings/Connectivity/Packet Data/Packet data conn./ I only have 2 selections "When needed" or "Always online", what is missing is "Never". The trouble is there are lots of internet accessing options within the phone menu system that use the internet and if you accidentally select one it will go "online" without asking.
I know this might sound weird, but... I realize that I am addicted to the internet and spend too much time on it, and want to purposefully restrict myself by NOT being able to access the internet at all on my Blackberry Bold 9700.I don't have a data plan, but I log onto my landlord's WiFi using the password he gave me. Therefore, I have internet access through WiFi, but I would like to either get rid of that ability altogether, or find a way to password-protect the browsers (the regular browser and Opera).
I bought an unbranded 6700 classic on amazon and I tried to disable internet access completely. So in the first place, there is no option to disable packet data or internet access at all. I can only choose between on demand and always online. I tried to make new hoax profiles with made up usernames and passwords for those data links and access points and set them as defaults but this phone always just connects to the internet by edge after all.
I also can't just delete my provider's access points which seem to be sitting on the sim card or however that works. On sony ericsson devices there is at least some kind of workaround which works by setting the access points to ask for a password before they actually connect but in this phone there doesn't seem to be any option to protect myself to go online by accident.
How can I disable the internet connection since the phone switches onto internet at random when I do not what to go on line and I am getting unneccessary charges
New to the whole Windows phone thing. I'm very familiar with the desktop version of Windows 10, and I have my desktop and laptop to only do local searches on the built in start menu. I can't seem to figure out how to disable it on the 950. I don't have a lot of data to spare per month....
I have a Rogue on Verizon now. Verizon put the data block on it for me but that takes away the flexibility of using it when needed. I am also thinking about switching to Page Plus so definitely want to know how to turn data on/off from the phone.
Is there anyway to disable the auto switch off of the auto switch off feature of the Internet Sharing on the Lumia 710?The reason I ask, is that I want to set this up as my main Internet connection at home using the Three UK One Plan Unlimited Data plan with the phone linked via Internet Shaing to a range extender which all my family can then connect to but the Internet Sharing keeps switching off after a few minutes of inactivity.
As hard as I try not to I still accidentally hit those web access buttons. I try to remember to hit the end button every time I put the phone down, but I keep racking up internet access time. Three hours at on time and many other shorter instances as well. I know this is one of the main design features of this phone, but it's not the reason I bought it. I liked the other features on the phone and figured there would be an easy way to disable web access.
Id like to know how to disable the 3G in my corby pro in hopes of conserving battery life. I tried some admin codes to enter service menus but they dont seem to work. my phone is currently locked to rogers.I dont have a data plan or need one. it has wifi so i can still connect to the net. Is there any point of keeping it activated, just seems like it would be using up battery life.

I have pretty bad wi fi reception in my bedroom, however it's just sufficient for my phone to detect it and connect, but it drops out and syncing/downloading/loading web pages is very slow ad often fails.
I have a Galaxy IIs from Tmobile. I want to be able to just push the side power button and go directly to my phones homescreen. I don't want to have to swipe to go the the home screen. I have tried going into Location and Security>Set up screen lock>None. This didn't do anything. I still have to swipe to go to the home screen. Is there somewhere else that has the setting I am looking for?

I am using Advanced Task Killer which I'm finding really useful. I have an ignore list set and it kills the apps that aren't being used regularly. However, I'm wondering why these apps keep restarting again. The sort of things that keep restarting are Gallery, Messaging, Yahoo! Messenger, Email, Skype, Maps, etc. I'm sure that I'm signed out on all of these apps and have the settings set such that they shouldn't keep restarting/synching. Are there any apps similar to 'msconfig' in Windows where you can tick which things you want to start up and what you don't?
Hey,I have a question for turning off a mobile network, because I'm going on a holydays in the other country, and I want to turn off every connection to a network, don't want to recieve any e-mail,any updates from internet.I don't want to get to pay too much.If I will use internet in the other country,I will have to pay a lot,and that's what I don't want to.So how can I disable getting e-mail,or internet acces?
I wanted to disable the peel remote from my lock screen, not my notification panel, but just my lock screen. I understand that there should be a option to do so, but it doesn't appear for me, the only option is to disable the remote from notification panel and lock screen, but I wanna keep it for the notification panel.
Is there any way to disable the ringer volume control on the side of the S2. I've found myself sometimes (not knowingly) switching the volume control to silent and then not hearing a call coming in.
The Samsung R800 still has nothing about it on the internet, so I'm hoping someone here will know.I have a CDMA Samsung R800 that was used with Alltel. A while back, Alltel suspended our account and since then we have switched to Cellular One.I have a Samsung T636 now.I found an app on "getjar.com" that allows me to use another phone to send messages and call and all that.I was wondering how to activate or use Java applications on my Samsung R800? It would be so helpful!
I used to hook up my Blackberry to the PC and it would allow me to use the phone's internet browser projected on my monitor. I can't get this phone to do the same. Am i missing something?
