View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy IIs from Tmobile. I want to be able to just push the side power button and go directly to my phones homescreen. I don't want to have to swipe to go the the home screen. I have tried going into Location and Security>Set up screen lock>None. This didn't do anything. I still have to swipe to go to the home screen. Is there somewhere else that has the setting I am looking for?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had the fingerprint lock in place since I got my phone.
Yesterday the screen lock disabled by itself and no password was needed to get on phone. In addition, the Unlock effect "Water droplet" turned on.
I wanted to disable the peel remote from my lock screen, not my notification panel, but just my lock screen. I understand that there should be a option to do so, but it doesn't appear for me, the only option is to disable the remote from notification panel and lock screen, but I wanna keep it for the notification panel.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know it uses up battery time, but is it possible to over-ride the screen time-out? The longest time option on the menu seems to be 10 minutes, but eg when using GPS in the car - especially when the car charger is attached - over-ride this 10 minute limit.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAs a rule I like my screen to time out after a minute of inactivity. When the phone drops below 30% of power, however, power saving mode kicks in and this changes to 15 seconds. The problem is, that after I plug the phone in - and thus cancel power saving mode - it sticks at 15s timeout instead of reverting to my 1minute setting?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using my samsung galaxy pretty heavily being as i just got it a week ago. I have noticed with heavy use it does not last me a whole day. Yesterday i let the battery drain all the way out so that i could completely cycle through. It ended up takeing a little over 3 hours to fully charge again. Was curious how many hrs of usage other people are averageing and how many hrs of charge time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI made a thread about this a while ago but I'm wondering if there's an app to solve this. On the nexus 4 you could make it so when you wake up the phone it requires no unlock but if you sleep it for (whatever you set the time for) it will then lock to the chosen security type.
Is there an app that can allow this to happen without having to just remove a lock feature which I'd rather not do? To simulate what i mean for some reason if you do a Google search bar search then then lock the phone and unlock it again you'll see it doesn't have you swipe for some reason.
I configured my office emailbon S5 and I was asked to encrypt android...so I did.
Now that I have removed the account I still had to enter the 6 digit pin code to unlock the screen...
How I can disable this pin lock

I don't really understand why one would want the brightness of the web browser to be different to every other part of the phone.
I'm finding this feature quite irritating - is there any way to disable it and just have it follow the brightness levels of the phone?
So I connect to a bluetooth device for my car to play music and provide directions. Driving mode somehow got turned on and is annoying as all heck. So basically I want it gone. It doesnt do anything for me, it just randomly resends a notification and interrupts my music and I have had it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using Advanced Task Killer which I'm finding really useful. I have an ignore list set and it kills the apps that aren't being used regularly. However, I'm wondering why these apps keep restarting again. The sort of things that keep restarting are Gallery, Messaging, Yahoo! Messenger, Email, Skype, Maps, etc. I'm sure that I'm signed out on all of these apps and have the settings set such that they shouldn't keep restarting/synching. Are there any apps similar to 'msconfig' in Windows where you can tick which things you want to start up and what you don't?

I am debating on what to buy, the Galaxy S or the IPhone 4.
I need 3.5 hours of video playback between charges.
I want to eliminate the video conversion step, so if the Galaxy S can eliminate it, that would be perfect.
I have mp4 video files in my mobile. It plays perfect when I play it after copying it from the PC. fter couple of hours or so when I try to play the file second time, its not playing, I am getting blank(black) screen, when I try to scroll it or fwd it, I can see that the file is getting stuck.I can play the files once again after rebooting my phone each time. initially suspect that the issue could be with the video file, but experienced the issue with mutliple files which I copied.
